Input Color Code In HSV And Output Equivalent RGB Code
Oct 9, 2014
I need to create a Java program that takes an input a color code in HSV and outputs the equivalent RGB code and Vice versa.
Example:
If you test on the color RED in RGB:
Input: (255,0,0)
Output: (0,100%,100%)
If you test on the color RED in HSV:
Input0,100%,100%)
Output: (255,0,0)
I am trying to write a program that will generate a QR Code from an input text and also display some information about the input/output bits. So far I have created the frame and what to do next. And I'm not sure if I am on the right track since my level of programming is not that great. By the way, I am using zxing libraries from GitHub. I know, there are plenty of generators online for the QR Code, but that is not what I am looking for. As you can see on the attached image, I am more interested in the efficiency of encoding 2D data. Also, I noticed that almost all the online projects regarding 2D codes are for Android. Which is not very useful.
I'm having some trouble with getting this program to read an input of morse code and then produce an output of English. When typing in morse code for the phrase 'the string', the output looks something like this:
I am having problem with the JRadio Buttons to change the font color in my code. What needs to be done? Also if I were to connect this GUI to another GUI and save font colors, how would I go about that?
I have one code [taking from on line SCJP exam preparation site]. I have 2 question in my mind:
1) addValue() is non static method then why it is running without object inside constructor. By this rule it should show compilation error. 2) With ref variable of parent always non overridden methods of parent run then it must value of 10 [If i forgot 1st point ]
But it is giving 40. Code is as below:
class Base{ int value = 0; Base(){ addValue(); } void addValue(){ value += 10;
What I mean is, I have this set and it is supposed to take out all the duplicates. If I enter aaabbbcccd the output should be abcd, but instead my code just outputs the last word, or in this case letter entered.
import java.util.*; public class setdemo { public static void main(String[] args)
The code is supposed to output a word from a sentence(from a sample file) with most frequently occurring letter in that word.
Example input: "Therefore, it is this word."
output: therefore
It currently uses 3 loops nested loops, is there a way to improve this?
public static String findWord(String file) throws IOException { BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file)); String text, correctWord = null; text = in.readLine(); StringTokenizer tokens = new StringTokenizer(text.toLowerCase(), " ,.?"); //split string into tokens of words only int count = 0, numLetter = 0;
When I try running the program it wont output the determineWinner method, I think there is something wrong with the way i called results. But I am not exactly sure?
public class rpsGame { public static void main( String [] args ) { String userName = getUserName(); String playerChoice, computerChoice; computerChoice = getComputerChoice();
I was a bit confused of the code generated by the Axis2 Code Gen.
I have created a logIn(String username, String password) method in my service and used Axis2 Code Gen to generate the Stub.
I try to access the logIn method from my Client using the Stub like below:
TestServiceStub stub = new TestServiceStub("http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/TestService"); String test = stub.logIn("user","pass").
but instead of UserName and password as the parameters, the Stub created a Login object as the parameter for the logIn method. like the one below:
stub.logIn(Login login1);
I wanted to try the logIn method by providing a static userName and password but it seems impossible because the Stub changed the parameter for the logIn method.
The code here I have works fine if I just want to ask the user to enter four digits: //java application that asks user to input binary numbers(1 or 0) and convert them to decimal numbers import java.util.Scanner; //program uses class scanner public class binarynumber{
//main method that executes the java application public static void main(String args[]){ //declares variables
int digit; int base=2; int degree; double decimal; int binary_zero=0; int binary_one=1; //create scanner for object input
[code]....
The thing is, I want the java application to input more than four digits for the user and I want it to loop it manytimes f until the user ask it to stop.
I just want to know how I can get my program to end when the user inputs "0." By using: System.exit(0);
import java.util.Scanner; public class TestCode { public static void main (String [ ]args ) { Scanner console =new Scanner(System.in); System.out.println("To exit program input 0"); for (int y = 1; y < 11; y++ ){ // Executes output 10 times
I'm doing homework and as far as input, my assignment reads: "Your program must take as input the name of a Java source code file such as the source file containing the source code of this assignment." So my question is, how do i do that without linking the directory directly (i.e. C:/users/...)? I'm using FileReader as shown below...
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { FileReader file = new FileReader (WHAT GOES HERE???); BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(file); String s = ""; String line = reader.readLine();
This is the java code that I wrote for a password:
// java application that asks the user to enter a password import java.util.Scanner; //program uses class scanner public class password{ //main method used to execute java application public static void main(String args[]){ //create scanner to obtain input from command window
[Code] ....
here is the output of the code when I run it :
entered the passwordreason Try againPress any key to continue . . .
The code compiles without errors. The problem is when , I entered the actually password that I declared in my code, it doesn't output "You entered the correct password" but it instead outputs "Try again", which is supposed to be the output if you've entered the incorrect password. What did I do wrong?
My problem is that in my program, I have the user input data for one of three product objects, however when I read the data for all three objects, the same data is stored in all of them.
Anyway this is the method from the Interface class:
private void readInput() // the only method in the program that accepts product data from the user { Store matesStore = new Store(); String name; int demandRate, productChoice; double setupCost, unitCost, inventoryCost, sellingPrice; Scanner console = new Scanner(System.in);
[Code] ....
And here is the method from the Store class:
public static void addData(int option, String newName, int newDemand, double newSetup, double newUnit, double newInventory, double newPrice) //sets the product data for a particular product { if (option==1) setData(product1, newName, newDemand, newSetup, newUnit, newInventory, newPrice); else if (option==2) setData(product2, newName, newDemand, newSetup, newUnit, newInventory, newPrice); else /*(option==3)*/ setData(product3, newName, newDemand, newSetup, newUnit, newInventory, newPrice);
[Code] ....
The problem I had was with static variables and methods.
I am trying to write a code that allows a user to input the number of stones in a basket, then put the stones in my pocket, after the stones are in my pocket, the stones must be taken out, one by one, and thrown in a pond. I get stuck at this part because my for statement has to subtract the number of stones in my pocket (one at a time) and add a stone to the pond (one by one) at the same time.I can get the pond stones to increase until the max amount of stones with the following:
how to reduce one and add to other. Is it possible to do this in one for statement? I tried to put stones-- in place of the question mark, but that is not working.
I am creating a simple code in Java that replaces all tabs the user inputs with '*'. However, I am doing something wrong and I am not sure what. Here is what I have so far in Eclipse..
import java.util.Scanner; public class ReplacingTabs { public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner in = new Scanner(System.in); String s = ""; String s2 = "";
[Code] .....
There is an error with the s2 in the line String s2 = s.replace(' ','*');
I think I need to add String s2 to the loop but I am not sure how..
I think I fixed the first error, but now I'm receiving another error in my Net Pay print statement at the end.
Here is what I'm supposed to receive:
Net Pay: 599.86
Here is my sample run:
run-single: Enter hourly rate in dollars and cents --> 27.16 Enter number of hours and tenths worked --> 37.9
PAYROLL REPORT Rate: 27.16 Hours: 37.9
Gross Pay: 1029.36 Federal Tax: 257.34 State Tax: 93.41 FICA: 78.75 Net Pay: 771.86
Employer's FICA contribution: 78.75 Employer's UEI and DI contribution: 20.59 Cost to Employer: 1128.70
Enter hourly rate in dollars and cents -->
Here is my updated code:
package assignmentproject1; /* CHANGE (FINAL) VAR NAMES, SCAN & VERIFY, ORGANIZE AND PUT FORMULAS ON BOTTOM, ORGANIZE VAR @ TOP, */ import java.util.*; public class Project1 { public static void main (String[] args)
I have been creating a Java program to track inventory using an array. I need to add a search function to it to take a term, input through a text field, and locate a matching instance within the array. How can I code a JButton to grab test input from a JTextField and search for it within the array then display the corresponding information? I also need to add buttons to add and delete items as well.
If I want to read from file the word "red" And then the following is not the right way like in the code ,, How to set the Color name
File inputFile = new File ("C:\input.txt"); Scanner scan = new Scanner (inputFile); String RedColor=scan.nextLine(); Color backColor = new Color(redColor);
how to change the color of an output element in Eclipse? Can't seem to find it anywhere on the internet.For example, a response to my question 'What color do you want?' could be 'red'. I added an if-statement, which states if input = red, start using a red colored 'X' as string for further output.How do I obtain the color red for my X?? Or isn't it possible changing the color of output elements?
How would I display certain output text if the text entered equaled "text".
So lets say you enter a question into a JTextField. You press a button that submits the text. The output displayed depends on what the question you asked was.
Think about it as "If question = What color is the sky? On submit, display text "Blue". How to implement this.
According to what I read, "when programming in Swing, your GUI creation code should be placed on the Event Dispatch Thread (EDT). This will prevent potential race conditions that could lead to deadlock." (See below for code.)
Why is this? How could making a GUI lead to deadlock?
public static void main(String[] args) { SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { createAndShowGUI(); } }); }
I have a assignment in which the code has to scrape a web page for a little bit of data including the link to the next page, follow the link, and do this 100 times. It is scraping all the data correctly, including the link, but it isn't following the link to scrape the data on that next page. Instead, it is displaying the first page's data 100 times. I have the code in a while loop where it reads in one character at a time from the page into a string and then uses pattern matching to get the data and the next link from the string. Then it correctly displays the data and should loop back to connect to that next link and read one character at a time into the string and so on.
I have printed the link to the console and it is good. I don't get any errors. I just can't figure out where exactly the problem is. Here is my code:
I have had to create a text analyser. I have created the program but it is all within the main method. The specification states that I have to have at least two methods within my Program.
import java.io.*; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; import java.util.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.filechooser.FileNameExtensionFilter; public class Analyser { public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException, UnsupportedEncodingException {
