Libraries Needed For IReport Is Added In Lib Folder

I have a .jar that is installed in other computer(outside netbeans). Everything works fine except with report. I am sure the libraries needed for iReport is added in my lib folder but I receive this error message when I to load the report using the program.I use command prompt to see the error:

I have included the library in lib folder but do you think I have to install the iReport application?
Where can I learn or how can I, being the most efficient way known to do so, create a folder outside my JAR file with the java source code, this then will copy YAML documents from my JAR file to that folder, then I need to read the YAML documents some way. I'm making an addon for a game, I am using an API that allows you to make a config.yml easily, and add and read entries from it, but I've read that I need to make my own methods to be able to create additional YAML documents.
I don't exactly know what to type in google to perhaps find such a page, but I did try to find a tutorial page about this or something and couldn't.
I've partially figured out how to create a folder, but I have a problem, how can I RETURN one directory to make the folder, I don't want to make the folder in the JAR file I want to make it just outside the Jar file in the same folder that the Jar file is at.
Means like in php we can install xampp and there for a new app we need to create a folder in htdocs folder...and after that , that folder works like a app.

method called []getLetterGrades but the only hint My professor told me was that I needed to declare another array list for this method and he wouldnt tell me anything else so bummer. But I don't understand why if what we are returning is a char. It would make sense to return an array list of char to get letter grade. Which is what i did but since the function is a char, the array list character wont work as a return.Primarily i would like to know the type that is needed. I just want an explanation for an array list in this method and how it would serve in this method.
Should we always use getters/setters, e.g. even in something like

Or should we use the only when there is a good reason to use them, e.g. validation for a setter or may be computing a value to return from some variables etc. ?
I have a HTML page with an applet inside it.I have the applet class and all other needed classes in a jar file in jre/lib/ext folder (I'm on windows). But when I open the HTML file in a browser it gives me ClassNotFound exception..The HTML file is this:
I have this HostOnDemand class in its package in a jar file in jre/lib/ext but it can't be found.Since the applet is way too old, I'm using jre1.4.2 and netscape.
Let's say I'd like to print out something as a prompt without end with a new line char, so the standard System.out.println() is not an option and I'd like to find something else inplace of println().
Where to find that? I googled about that and learned printf() is the one I want, but how to get it from java api documentation.
The keys in a HashMap and the values in a Set must all be unique, but this can be circumvented when using custom objects in a HashMap and Set, because the compiler has no way to determine if the objects are equal or not, as shown in the example below:

Obviously the equals method is needed because that compares the two objects. But why is the hashCode method needed?

I have to meet certain requirements for this one program, and one of them is as follow: The program will require the user to enter the needed values one after another. If any of the entered values is invalid, then the program will detect that and go into a loop requiring the user to enter a valid value. The program must keep track of the total number of invalid values that the user has entered.
I know how to set a restriction and create a loop to keep asking the same question until it is satisfactory ( in this case I used a while loop) but I am at loss on how I should keep track of the total number of invalid values. I know I can use an increment but how do I set a variable for when the program meets an wrong input from the user.
I am creating a .jar for a game I made. I'm not using any dev tools, just a DOS console call to java: %~dp0....javajdkinjar.exe -cfmv TheSwarm.jar manifest.txt *
My manifext.txt contains:
Main-Class: Game
But when I compile the jar, its manifest contains:
And I get an error about it not finding the main class. Shouldn't my Main-Class setting be added to the jar? I can manually rename it to .zip and edit the Manifest.MF but that is a huge pain when I'm testing the .jar file and regenerating it often.

I need to build an application that can preform measurements. So I have a measuring device that can be connected through USB (with a rs232 converter aka VCP).The manufacturer provided me with two libraries:
C++ : a library (.lib) file and a header (.h) file VB6 : a DLL (.dll) file and a list (.txt) with all the available functions
And also some demo code. Can't get the C++ code running with my Borland C++ 5.5 compiler but the VB6 code is working.What can I use to integrate into my java code.
I've been trying this for hours but it's not working. I'm trying to add the sea glass look and feel library to my project but I still get the error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: List (wrong name: list)
What should I do? I've added the library to "project settings >Required Libraries" and did not forget to check the box. I've also imported the L&F so it can't be that.

I have a ace:dataTable which contains a variable number of columns. For this I use the c:forEach tag. All generated in the c:forEach are not displayed. In the sample, only columnLibelle and columnSum are displayed.

I'm just a java beginner. I've spent a lot of time installing and configuring software. I'm using Netbeans 7.3 on Windows 7, 64 bit. Recently, I downloaded opencsv from sourceforge.
With no previous experience adding libraries, I read a blog post on adding the library. I think that I then:
Start a new project.
Right click on libraries
Add jar/folder
Gave the temporary path to the .jar file
After, I read the blog post again, and realized I'd missed it. This time I did:
Right click library, Add library, Create library
However, I kept getting a message that the same library already existed. If I do the first process above, I will find the same library.
However, I see no way in Netbeans to remove it. I've deleted the test projects. And started a new one. But the library now exists for all projects it seems.
I've grepped all the files under the Netbean directory, searching for "opencsv", but found nothing. The only things in the Windows registry were locations of files.
How can I delete this library permanently from Netbeans? Short of, uninstall, then reinstall? Is there a way to list all the libraries that Netbeans has?

I am responsible for an application which the developer did not build with ANT and also, he had the libraries sitting on his local machine.
Do you have any recommendations on what I should do with these libraries, knowing they were parcelled out and sitting on his local machine instead of in the project itself (Eclipse IDE workspace)?
I am building a script in ANT but don't really know what to do with his libraries. I did get a bunch of compilation errors earlier when I did not have the libraries, but now that I have them, I don't really know where to put them.
I'm trying to make my first servlet, however since I have only installed the Java SE, the javac compiler is complaining about missing packages (javax.servlet.http...)
I've realized now that I need javax.servlet jar or class files from Java EE, but after downloading java_ee_sdk-7u1.zip from Oracle here I'm not seeing any .sh or java_ee_sdk-7-jdk7-macosx-x64.sh installer (which I saw mentioned elsewhere). The oracle page only instructs to unzip the downloaded file, and searching for javax.servlet only reveals a few files which I'm not sure what to do with:
I am not necessarily 'new' to java, however I have always used NetBeans so I am not entirely sure how to do what I need with the terminal commands. I am trying to execute a java jar file(which works perfectly on windows) on the Raspberri Pi, essentially debian linux.
As I mentioned previously, I have a java jar file which I can execute on windows, but it depends on three other libraries, namely RXTX, MySQL, and JSON. I am not positive how to compile this into a jar, or execute it in debian.
This was how I attempted to load two of those libraries, however the last line is the error I received.

Specifically, the problem seems to be that I cannot use the -cp flag to indicate classpaths, and the -jar flag indicating I am executing a jar in the same command. I am not sure how to point the compiler to my main class HAS in the core package of the jar, and also to the libraries referenced.
I wrote my own class to represent univariate polynomials and it works fine, but I was quite sure I was reinventing the wheel, and should obviously like to extend my program's functionality using other kinds of mathematical object.
I've been looking and there are of course open source libraries available which contain everything I'd want to do myself, and more, and probably better, saving me a lot of work.
However the usefulness of this kind of library extends far beyond simple practice and would be invaluable in developing more complex applications.
If I were to plan to write an application that I would at some point in the future like to compile into an executable and sell, would I need to take care about any open source libraries used that the compiler relies on? If so, would it be possible at that stage to use just the API and write my own classes replicating the functionality to avoid breaking license agreements?
The library I'm looking at right now is distributed under the Apache license.
