What I want is I Save all these values in a File and at Run time pass path of that file to command line arguments and then int[] array will be initialize using that

I need to be able to select a file (compressed), change its file extension (to zip) and load all its content, preferably as objects. If it makes things easier one can assume all these files to be of the same type.
The content of the zip file are placed in folders, known Beforehand which might make things easier.
I'm getting an IllegalArgumentException returned when I try to get a file using guava library.
I previously had the function working when the file was in a different location, before I switched to running JBehave, my steps run but it fails to find the resource, even after I've moved it.
The code being executed is (this worked previously before using JBehave):

I have a main folder and then bunch of sub folders and each sub folder has bunch of xml files, files size are varies some of them are 900kb. I got a question in my last interview, its all about multithreading, interviewer asked me to write a program, to write the contents of three files(F1,F2,F3) in to a new File F4, using multithreading , first thread should read the first file and second thread should read second file, so the File F4 should contain F1's contents in first then F2's contents after that etc. I tried to give my best shot, but i couldn't get a way to ensure that the first thread is reading the first file and write to F4 then second thread reading the second file and writing once first file is written completely into F4 and so on ..how to do this?

I am trying to read a file and input each line of the file into an array. I have not set the array size as I was hoping to fill the array using a while loop. Unfortunately the scope of the array does to work inside the while loop so I am being told that the array 'students' has not been initialised even though it has just outside of the while loop. Is it possible to do what I am trying to without having the array initialised in the while loop as surely the array will be reset every time if it was in the while loop? Here is my code:

I'm getting an error that says identifier expected and the compiler points to this as the problem:("Pick a number between 1 and 10");
How do I make the file reader object move to the next line if there is no more input on the line. Here is my text and output file as you can see that my text file column cuts off on the 2nd line after 70. I want to read that next line which is 100 into my labs variable however its reading it into my final exams variable. I'll also post the code but I didn't think it was necessary.

The PrintWriter method or the Formatter with a Scanner to read the file, using a BufferedWriter with a BufferedReader, etc. They will all read/write text files, but from what I understand they do so in different ways. When would it be more beneficial to use a buffered writer than, say, PrintWriter, which is much simpler code-wise? Is there a "best" way to handle i/o in general in Java?
