It simply imports numerical data from 1.txt into an application amibroker. Also this import function has to be in a loop of 60 seconds.

I have several pic to download (e.g 30) however, the code work for some pic (workable for a random number of pic, sometimes workable for 10 pics but sometime can only download 1 pics).

I think I need to add String s2 to the loop but I am not sure how..

I have a simple code to test palindrome. I have the word "civic" and I got this code:

when I am programming let say in VB using Visual Studio, finally I build .exe file that can be run on all Windows by double click.For Java I am using Eclipse and to run those apps I am using run from Eclipse.How I can create a sort of "executable" for my Java app that I would be able to run it by file click on Windows or Linux?

I do not want it to go through command prompt, but rather have it be its own entity. As you can probably tell my knowledge of Java and coding is limited, but always willing to expand.

same thing happens i.e. nothing happens.
I have made a simple h2 db viewer using jdbc and in eclipse it has a horizontal scrollbar so it works and displays correctly.
When I run the jar from cmd it works as it should but the results all go onto new lines so all formatting is lost and it looks.. ugly...
somehow make it so the console has a forced horizontal scrollbar but dunno how.
I am trying to uses classes from a non executable jar called noexec.jar in an executable jar called exec.jar. With no defined manifest in the nonexec jar and a manifest in the exec jar. The folder structure where the jars are held look like so.

With the class path defined in the manifest for the executable jar as Class-Path: nonexec.jar . However every time I run java -jar exec.jar, I get Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: What even though I am including nonexec in my class path why the classes contained within the jar are not being found?

I am having a bit of trouble making the '+' add two numbers in java. For example:

View Replies View RelatedSo, Iv'e been trying to make a simple Text Based RPG with Java, and it is going quite well, and my friends want to play it too but they aren't very tech savvy, so it's hard to tell them to get an IDE or use the CMD, so I wanted to know if there was a way to make my text-based game into a window, like using JFrame or something. All i need is a window that displays the text, and a bar on the bottom that lets the user input what they want (Kind of like a CMD).

How can I make the numbers to stay at the textfield of my calculator instead of disappear like when I type 1 then hit the + sign the number 1 disappears from the textfield I would like to have this (1+1) showing in the text field and also if try to press only + , * , - , / to show error.

how to structure simple programs (i.e. one-method algorithms for a simple purpose). There are a few different ways that I have been doing it, but I want to be consistent. Should I put both the one-method algorithm (e.g. a factorial function) and the main method that executes the algorithm into the same class and then export it to an executable .jar file for use? Or should I create one class for the algorithm and another for the main method that executes the algorithm? In addition, is there any reason that I should out these classes in a package before I export it?
As another similar question, if I have constructed two distinct classes with two separate purposes, and they are both used in the construction of a single program, then would it be best to just put the main method in a third, separate class or should I put it in one of the two classes?

1.Place the wage calculation routines in a while loop.
2.Allow the user to input an individual's hours worked.
3.Accumulate the total regular hours worked, the overtime hours worked, the amount of the regular pay, the amount of overtime pay, and the total payroll, for all of the employees entered.
4.Allow the user to enter a zero (0) as the Boolean expression to end the loop.

The reason I want to use regular expressions is because I want to use the replaceAll method of the java.lang.String object. If I use replace I have to convert my strings into char arrays, and my code becomes bulky.
I am writing code for a simple java game. The problem I am running into is that I have a moving icon (J button) that is controlled using the keyboard (arrows) and I also have stationary icons (J button). Is there a way to keep the moving icon from passing over the stationary icon? I would like the stationary icon to act like a wall.
