Is there a method to search a single word or a phrase in an web page? And maybe when it have found the word it say me the line and the number of the character where the word or the phrase begin.
Okay, so the assignment was creating a word search for the given array. I've created all the code necessary, but I've ran into trouble. This problem occurs with the Up-Forward, Up-Backward, Down-Forward, and Down-Backward sections. If I only set one of these to run, it works. But if I have all 4 set at the same time, it errors out on the first one that runs.
public class P_WordSearch { public static void main(String[] args) { char[][] puzzle = { {'B','O','O','G','S','R','O','W','I','N','G'}, {'E','B','L','G','N','I','M','M','I','W','S'}, {'L','C','E','A','T','I','P','U','P','I','S'}, {'C','M','I','N','C','A','X','Y','O','S','N'},
I need a java code to search a certain word from the text file. the word that i want to search is in other text file. and finally the output will print the result in the new text file. for the example the text file name data.txt and the word list in the wordlist.txt and the output will print filter.txt.
Consider in a Document if a String " Hello" is Encoded and stored as "XYZAB"
I want to search the text on document for a word "Hello" and Replace the word with "HelloWorld"
The Program will encrypt the word "Hello" and Search the file then return the encrypted code as "XYZAB" Found
Now i have to replace the word "Hello" with "HelloWorld" in encrypted form so that the Letter "XYZABEFGHI" is replace in the place of Hello where "World" is encoded as "EFGHI"
Now the Problem is If there is more number of occurrence of the word "Helloworld" exist in the file... How can i Replace only one particular occurrence What can be done to select the particular occurrence.
I have attached my java program for Encryption along with this mail for your ease of use.
Coding (must follow pseudocode algorithm provided) for comparing characters of a word to a puzzle board char[][].
I've gotten the horizontal and vertical searches to work, but I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to search diagonally.
Here's the search algorithm format I have to use:
for each guess word for each letter of the puzzle for each letter of the guess word check for diagonal match if found, add word to list, break to next guess
I'm assuming there should be a +1 horizontal offset after I find the first letter, but every index I've bumped has caused me to screw up my array bounds. I'm missing something.
Here's the algorithm I'm using for diagonal search. This same algorithm worked for vertical search (minus the offset of course)
//diagonal search for(String word : guessWords) {//for each guess word int letterCount = 0; int index = 0; for(int j=0; j<grid[index].length; j++) {//for each puzzle letter
I want to hyphenate a token which is present in a database. My code:
String str = "The Appointments Committee Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. Harry Potter, Chief Economic Adviser, Department of Economic Affairs as Executive Director in the International Monetary Fund."; String[] words = str.split(" "); LinkedList<String> linkedlist=new LinkedList<String>(); for (int i = 0; i <= words.length-1; i++) { linkedlist.add(words[i]);
[Code] ....
I want to implement this algorithm, I will start with "The Appointments", whether it is present in table or not. If yes, then move forward and check for the next token- whether entry for "The Appointments Committee" is present. If yes, then again move forward, and check for "The Appointments Committee Cabinet". If entry is present, then again move forward, if not, then move back, then hyphenate "The-Appointments-Committee". Then again start with "Cabinet"- the same process all over again. I want to use a select query- it should give a smaller result set, so the speed should be much faster.
I'm trying to display a phrase in every font size from 6 thru 20. As it stands now, the code below cascades the phrase, sort of, down the frame, but the font size doesn't change.
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class JFontSizes extends JFrame implements ActionListener { JButton button = new JButton("Press Me"); String aPhrase = new String("This is a phrase.");
I have built a binary tree, from a file. In each node, I am storing each word as a string, and an int frequency for each time the word occurs. For the assignment, I need to find how many words occur only once in the file. I wrote the program, but for some reason I am getting a number different from what my professor is expecting.
As far as I know, this file has loaded into the tree correctly, because all of my other answers in the assignment are correct. What am I doing wrong?
public void findUnique() { System.out.println("There are " + findUniqueWords(root, 0) + " unique words."); } private int findUniqueWords(Node subTree, int uniqueCount) { // Base Case: At the end of the branch if(subTree == null){ return uniqueCount;
The intentions of this program is to prompt a user to enter a file name, and then reads the file. The program will prompt the user to enter a word that needs to be corrected. So lets say I have a text file containing "My name is OP and I Like goind to the Park!" I want to change "goind" to "going",
Now, my second method "isSimilar" executes a similar word with more than one same letter and same length, but I dont know how to execute that whole thing in my third method "correctThisLine" . How I can call that isSimilar method and read in that text file and change that word into that?
import java.util.*; import java.io.File; import java.io.FileNotFoundException; import java.util.Scanner; public class WahidMuhammadA3Q2{ String fileName = "AutoCorrectMe.txt"; public static void main (String [] args){
I am looking for java codes to generate a word document based on a word template, basically, I have a word template created and in my local path, the template has a proper format with some fields which will be filled in after java codes ran. The java codes will fetch one record from a table, and open the word template and then fill the fields in the word template, and created a new word document and save it in another folder.
I found this example: [URL] which is similar except it uses xml template instead of word template, how to make it work to change the template from xml to word (docx) template?
package bin; import java.util.Scanner; public class AppletMain{ public static void main(String[] args){ Scanner oneinput = new Scanner(System.in); String one;
[Code] ....
I am trying to get it to compare the word I type in to the set word in the object 'secretword'. I have tried everything from equal to == to compareTo, I even created a two hundred line program to do this SIMPLE problem.
import java.io.*; import java.util.Random; import java.util.Scanner; public class WordGame { public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { final int RANDOM_LETTERS_COUNT = 10; final int TRIALS = 10; int score = 0;
I'm trying to build a method that can search a binary search tree for a specific target and then return the number of probes it took to get there. It seems to me that the best way to do this would be a recursive search method and a counter that tracks the number of calls. But I'm struggling with how to implement this. Here's the code I have so far. what works/doesn't work with the method.
// Method to search the tree for a specific name and // return the number of probes public T search(BTNode<T> btNode) {
I have to implement a system where I have to do almost same processing on a jsp page. The slight differences on the present page is based on whether the current page came from page 1 or page 2. So how can I do this?
When i access to this page and save it as xml in realtime, the tags in xml file saved is empty while it is initialized and everything is working properly.
<edges> </edges>
How can i access to content of this xhtml page and save it on disk?
I have two jsp page one is demo1.jsp and other is demo2.jsp on a click of a particular link on demo1.jsp I want to opwn demo2.jsp inside demo1.jsp without changing layout of demo1.jsp..I tried to use <jsp;include but that doesn't work for me.But how to do this simply on a single link click on a big page?
why exactly this isn't printing out the correct way.I'm supposed to print out 100 elements from an array but assign them random integers between 0 and 9.I've tried troubleshooting the issue and when I do it seems i'm only getting one element assigned.
public class Exercise_6_7{ public static void main(String[] args){ int[] counts = new int[100]; for(int i=0; i<counts.length; i++){ counts[i] = (int)(Math.random()*10);
When I click on "Clean and Build" NetBeans generates a .jar file and inside the folder "dist" it add a directory called "lib" with all the java libraries used to implement the program. I would like to achieve with this IDE an unique .jar file that includes everything you need such as Eclipse does by default. Is it possible?
I am coding a game and I am trying to implement a pause and unpause button. in the BoardPanel class I've added the button's 'p' and 'o' to game.wait() and game.notify() (main code is in game class). however the game.wait is having issues and even if i throw interrupted exception or try/catch it doesn't work. I'd like to code it to a single button if at all possible.
Is there a way to multiply two single arrays in which the corresponding iteration from one array multiplies with the corresponding iteration from the second array. For example say you have array1[] and array2[]. Each array has a length of 5. Is there a way to multiply array1[0] by array2[0] and array1[1] by array2[1] and so on.... without having to actually write out the equation of array1[0] + array2[0] = someValue for all iterations of the two arrays?
i'm currently going over single linked list, and i'm coming across an error which i do not know how to get by. I'm using single linked list for now just for study purposes, then i would move on to double.
Error: No enclosing instance of type LList is accessible. Must qualify the allocation with an enclosing instance of type LList (e.g. x.new A() where x is an instance of LList).
public class LList { private static class Node<E>{ private E data; private Node<E> next;
i'm currently studying over single linkedLists and i'm just writing various methods for it. One method i'm currently stuck on is writing a remove method where it returns a boolean true if its found and it will delete it, and false if the target isn't found. My problem is that it always comes up as flase and i know that the target is in the linked list. Here is the code for my method.
