I've written two programs. My first program compares the difference of two text files and prints the differences in an output. My second program creates a simple Html table. I would like to write my output to this table. How would I go about doing this in java?
I am making rows and columns in the form of a multiplication table, listed below is my code:
package assignments; public class MultTable { public static void main (String [] args) { int row, column, x, y; for(row = 0; row < 8; row++)
[Code] .....
If you see my sample run you can see that I have the multiplication table down but, I haven't completed it. I have to make the bottom left half of the whole table blank somehow. For example, I have to make it halfway through the middle of the table the bottom left half full of white space...
5 6 7 8 9 12 14 16 18 21 24 27 32 36 90
hm, it's supposed to be the other way around horizontally.
I have a database table containing two columns A and B. They both contain integers. I'd like to know if it's possible, when displaying them in a JTable, to be combined in one column X. I still need, however, to be able to distinguish them from each other when selecting a row from the JTable. E.g. to store each of the values in a a separate variable. Maybe I can combine them when reading from the ResultSet and use some sort of delimiter ? But how?
I'm new in JSF, so maybe this is a very simple problem: My small application actually uses 'primefaces ' and I'd like to display the course of some laboratory values this way:
I have an application that displays a GUI and this GUI displays a table with several columns and rows. I have a class that extends DefaultTableModel. I wrote the code that displays the GUI. When the database table changes, how would I updated the GUI dynamically? Do you have any sample code that does that?
I am trying to put together a small application in my spare time. Nothing major, but one thing I want it to do is accept a few inputs, and take those and add them to a table with columns for use later (printing, calculations, etc). I was originally looking at something like Jtable, but that looks just like an excel spreadsheet done Java, so not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for something that's read-only, where I can insert data from input fields, and then perform calculations with the column data later.
Is there anything wrong with writing JSP tags in psuedo-HTML? I've been writing tags in XHTML, but it would seem that XHTML could not be compliant with both an XHTML standard and the HTML5 standard.
I am creating a JSP page with a html table to display employee directory. This is scriptlet :
<% List<Employee> list = new ArrayList<Employee>(); PhoneListController controller = new PhoneListController(); list = controller.getAllContacts(); for (Employee eachEmp : list) { %>
and then i display the table rows and columns for each employee object(PS: I know scriptlets are bad and obsolete but this is my first individual project.)
I would like to change the background color of certain rows based on value of one particular value(based on eachEmp.getManagerCode).
How can i achieve that by using javascript? I tried to call a js function by calling onload event on . But as I need to check for each row that is not the possible solution. I have not tried jquery yet as I am very new to jquery and I didnt quite understand how to do it in jquery.
Is it possible to get the list/ values in html/jsp from servlet?
I have a table inside an html/jsp page and when the user clicks a button I need to refresh the whole page with some additional text message.
Currently what I am doing is that I am using a java bean for the jsp page that contains a list of values inside the table then store it in session but I think there is a better way without storing it in session.
I tried using request.getParameter() but it only returns string.
I am very new to Java Swing. I have to create a TreeTable in Java Swing with a Parent Row having say 6 columns and its all child row having just 4 columns. like shown below
Now I would like to update a column, with an inner join. Because inner join is not supported in this update-syntax I put the relationship in the where clause:
Java Code:
update table1 set rang=null where table1.column1 = table2.column1; mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
But HSQLDB is always saying to me that there is an syntax error: user lacks privilege or object not found: table2.column1
But I am 100% sure, that there is a table2 with the column1. I have no mistake in writing!
I created this program to display a square root table. Problem is all of my output is too long. I would like to round the number to 4 spaces past the decimal. Here is my code:
My program successfully reads a file, reports back what it finds and creates an output file. However, I cannot get it to write to the output file, it is always blank!
Here's my code:
import java.util.Scanner; import java.io.*; public class Ex19 { public static void main (String [] args) { //Variables
When do i get IllegalStateException in servlets.What it means by trying to write to the output stream (response) after the response has been committed by server. What it means by committing response and uncommitting response. cannot i send uncommitted response.
1.Write a JAVA program that will input 10 scores and output the Highest and Lowest score.
2.Write a JAVA program that will input the base and power and display the result: Example: Base is 4 Power is 2 the answer is 16 (Note: Math.pow( ) method is not allowed)
3.Write a JAVA program that will input an integer number, and then will output the sum of all inputted numbers. The program will stop in accepting inputs if the user entered 0.
I need to process one component drag to the table. I misunderstand, how I can see to which Cell fall the component. I tried to use Event and Mouse event handlers in my custom Cell, but they do not work. I can copy the drag event to the table and table handles it, but how to get needed Cell I cant understand.
