3 Comboxes On Form To Update Subform With Data?

I have a main form with 3 comboboxes as:
1. Status ("notstarted", "inprogress", "completed")
2. Manager ("john", "jill", "jack")
3. Prioritylevel ("high", "medium", low")
Then on this mainform is a subform with the data.
Now, i want to have it so that when
i select status ("notstarted") on my combobox, it updates/refreshes my subform with that data (afterupdate).
Then, when i select manager ("John") on the second combobox, it shows me data for that manager and where the status is "not started".
Then, when select a third criteria Prirotylevel ("high"), it shows me, the data for that are ("notstarted" and by manager "john" and that has a priortylevel of "high".
i.e. on the afterupdate event (or i can have this driven by a button) of all these 3comboboxes, it should update my subform data with my three or two or one (depending on how many criteria/comboxes options i have selected). I don't even know wehre to begin :(
I don't know how to do this even tho i know what i want. Please help me.

I have a mainform set to data entry to add records to TABLE1. I inserted a subform that shows fields from TABLE2. I have a field in TABLE2, let's say TBL2FLD1(NUMBER). I want to add TBL1FLD2(NUMBER) from TABLE1 in the mainform to TBL2FLD1 and update said field in TABLE2.
My problem is:
(1) I get a #TYPE! error when I try to add the two fields, which I have tried many, many ways (adding them together in the Default Value; creating an unbound field to hold the calculation and then putting that field into the Default Value of TBL2FLD1; ETC), and
(2) I don't know how to get the subform to update TABLE2. It seems like the control gets stuck in the subform. Is there a way to accomplish this without coding it?

I have a database (Access 2007) that has two tables, reports, queries and so far all seems to be working and going well. Quite impressed with it to be honest for my lack of skills.
However, I've run into a bit of trouble and need assistance getting a combo box to work with another combo box to produce list kind of thing.
The database is a vehicle database and I need the 'Vehicle' combo box to give me a list of vehicles. I then need the 'Model' combo box to produce the models of the car selected in the 'Vehicle' combo box.
Example - If I select 'Ford' from the 'Vehicle' combo box list I want all the models to be displayed in a list form thing in the 'Model' combo box so the user can easily select make and model of the car.
I have two tables:
CarMM
VD
The 'CarMM' table contains a list of around 1,500 records of car makes and models. First column has the 'Vehicle' make and the second field coloumn has the 'Model'.
The 'VD' table contains all other information like the charges, name, the make and model of car once selected in combo box.
I then have the form called 'VD'. In this form contains the combo boxes I want to be cascading.
Any advice on how to do this? I'm quite new to this so any help would be nice. Thanks you very much.

I have a form that has a related pop up from. I have an IF/Then/else statment. I want to up date a field in the orginal form from that if/then/else statement. I can get my IF/Then/Else statement to work on the subform but I can get it to update the orginal form.
I might have a problem with my forms![xxxx]![yyyyy] syntax.

i have a main form, which has a subform (subform1)
subform1 has a further subfrom (subform2)
in the subform2, i have a value, which on a double click, i wish the main form critical value to refresh to
thereby the main form refreshes to the value of the subform 2 value
i cannot work out the code, you may have guessed from the description of the question, i am a bit of a novice.
could anybody assist, please

Parent form/table, with a subform (separate table, 1:M link on "ID") The parent form data stays fairly constant (occasional change/update), with multiple entries in the subform for each parent record which are added to more frequently The master table has a field "last interaction" which I need to update whenever a new entry is made in the subform/subtable It updates fine when I change an entry in the parent table/form, but not when I add a new subentry for that parent

I'll simplify this form to a
- textbox
- command button
- subform (showing a table with 4 fields, including an "EntryID" field but just one record)
What I'm trying to accomplish is to enter a value in the textbox (this value will be one of the EntryIDs in the EntryID field), click the command button, and the subform should refresh itself, showing the record from the table (the 4 fields) which has the same EntryID.

This is an employee timekeeping database. I have a main form "frmTEMain", with a tab subform named "frmGridsub" with a tab named "Grid" on the lower half. On the tab page is the "frmGridsub" a continuous form that looks like a datasheet, many horizontal rows of data. The subform works correctly with several combo boxes that auto populate. There are many different employees listed in the Grid subform. "Employee" is the name used for the field that holds the unique ID number in the tables that feed the subform. The subform populates another table "dbo_BCRC."
When I click on a row in the subform I want fields to update on the Main Form with Employee, LastName, FirstName, that come from the table that was populated when data was entered into the subform. As the person clicks on the various rows in the subform, the main form fields need to synch with the row.
Do I use "Got Focus" event? Do I need to create another subform and place it on the top half of the Main Form?

I have a form called CostingForm. This form has a subform called CostingSubform. The subform's data source is a table called Costing Table. The main form has a combobox that has all the "Field names" or headers from the Costing Table that populates with the on open event. I also have a non bound textbox on the main form. What I would like to be able to do is input a value in the textbox, select a field name from the combobox and with an "update" button update the corresponding fields on the subform with the value in the textbox. Is this even possible?

I have a navigation form, a navigation subform, and then a subform. When I click the save button on the navigation subform, i need the data entered in two fields on the subform to save in a table. the subform is based on a query. This is what I currently have on the the button's onClick event:

I created a main form containing list boxes and a subform. What I want to do is to select items in the list boxes. Then, by clicking "Search" button, the data filtered by the selected items will be shown in the subform. But the subform cannot work and show the query results. I think I miss some VBA codes.

I'm running into an issue with my forms. I have a form that contains a subform, that contains a list of projects. This list is read-only. To update a record, you can double click on it, which opens another form filtered on this record, and which contains the fields in the first form as well as some others.
I have a command button on that last form to "Save and close", which fires up a macro that saves the record and closes the window.
Now, the issue that I'm having is that, when the window closes and I'm once again in front of the first form with the list of projects, the values of the record I changed are not updated and when I click on another record, Access tells me there's a conflict in the values and asks me if I want to keep the changes, discard them or copy to the clipboard.
It seems to consider the old values from the first form as a change, and thus asks me which to keep between these, and the actual (proper) changes I made in the dedicated form.
For the proper changes to be applied, I need to select "Drop changes".
I tried to requery the first form, also undo the changes to it after closing the window, but none of that worked.
I'm actually basing this on one of the templates, which does exactly what I want and which obviously works...

I am working with 2 forms and a subform.
frmTaskTracker -subfrmInbox (Datasheet View - based on a query)
frmUpdateInboxItem
subfrmInbox displays a summary of tasks on a task list. The user navigates to frmUpdateInboxItem from frmTaskTracker. After updating a record from frmUpdateInboxItem, it is possible that it the record in question will no longer meet the requirements to have it listed on subfrmInbox.
I have attempted to add code to the on close event of frmUpdateInboxItem to requery the sub form on frmTaskTracker but am not getting the syntax correct.
correct my code? Alternatively is there is a more correct way to do this, I'd be happy to learn it.

I have a subform embedded in a main form, the subform has a field (text box) that is doing automatic calculation so no manual entries are needed from the user. I have tried to pass automatically the final result to a text box in the main form, but all events are not working (afterupdate, On change, On Dirty), etc.
I have a button to do the above mentioned in the main form, but I don’t want to use that button, I want to do all the process from the subform.
Also, from the subform I was able to do click on the button on the main form (programmatically), however MS Access is too quick and the value extracted from the subform is always empty (zero); Acees is finishing before the calculation is done.
I am using MS Access 2010.

Which method should I use if I need to update automaticaly a field in form based on an event in subform ?
Just to be more clear, have a look in the below example.
In first print screen, student "Johnson Nick" has not completed all tests in TestA subform, the form field "DateCompleteA" is blanc.
Once a student completes all tests in Period A, I need the form field DateCompleteA to show the date that he completed the last one. (18/3/2015).
If student has not yet completed all tests in TestA subform the Form field DateCompleteA must be blanc.
Student has not completed "literature"yet, DateCompletA field is blanc
Student completed ALL his test, subform is updated, Form field DateCompletA is updated with the maximum date.

I apologize if this has probably been asked countless times; however, in my search of this forum I could not find something that seemed to work for something so simple.

Scenerio:
I have 2 forms. The first form is my main form and the second form is my "popup" form. Both of these forms access the same table. In my main form I have it so people can not enter in a ID so it reduces accidental data entry. Therefore, I created a "popup" box that allows ID entry.
Everything works great except when I close out of the popup form, the newly entered data is not available unless I close the main form and reopen.
Million Dollar Question:
How do I refresh or requery (dunno the correct term usage here) the main form to reflect the addition I made in my popup form. I would like the refresh event to happen when I click the close button on my popup form.

I have a subform which makes a change to a field on the main form. When focus is returned to the main form, the BeforeUpdate and AfterUpdate events fire. Why? I thought from the form's perspective, the subform is just another control.
BTW, I get the same behavior if I modify the field from within the Exit event of the subform control.
In either case, the main form's Dirty event is NOT triggered.

How do we update a data from a form into a field?
I have a form call member. In the member form I had created a membership Id combine with several code which can shown in the form. But this is only shown and I need this combine memberID to be update into another field.

I have a series of data that start from 0 to 999. I have to save these data in text form in order to be able to update them to the form I need. I need these data to be in 3 digits vs number form. For instance, if the data is stored as 1, i want it to be updated it to 001. Is there any easy way to update the single digit and double digit numbers to be in the format mentioned above?

I want to add data into form frmStaff. Form frmStaff has subform sfrmStaffDetails. When i click on Add button, it will open frmStaff. I can add data into frmStaff but cannot add data into sfrmStaffDetails.

Hi all, I'm so tired of looking... please help me!!
I have an Access Data Access Page based on a query which is not updatable.
The query is based on a many-to-many table (e.g. OfficeProducts with foreign keys for OfficeID and ProductID and an Amount field). The query is not updatable as I have included outer joins to the Office and Product tables to get all their records back.
(I'm not sure if I've done this the best way, but need to be able to list all the possible Products for each Office whether they use them or not.)
I want the user to be able to update the Amount field, so e.g. if it is currently set to 50 to be able to change it to 40, or if it is currently null (as there is no record so far for that OfficeProduct) then to insert a record into OfficeProducts with the OfficeID, ProductID and Amount value entered.
I thought this would be straightforward by creating a new textbox in the same section as the current Amount field, calling it NewAmount and letting the user update this, fire an event trigger to either update or insert into the table, and refresh the query and record on the form/DAP so that Amount shows the newly updated/inserted value.
I have been searching for ages... cannot locate either the best event or events to use for this nor the code to enter!! Please please help!!!!!

Hello,
My first post is on something that is troubling me. I have a Form acting as the display and entry point for data for a contact list, which is composed of two Tables as follows:
Contact - (text fields including: first name, last name, phone number home, phone number work, etc)
Industry Role - (yes/no tick boxes including: film, photographer, audio engineer, producer, reporter, etc)
The two Tables have a one to one relationship based on the URN field which is an autonumber. My problem is that when someone enters say a name, and then ticks a box, the autonumber will add two entries because it seems to see the first table then the second tables as sequential, and not the same thing. How do i go about making a form that can enter new records the same autonumber for two connected Tables?

I have a form named CustomerForm.I have a query named CustomerQ. On my form I have a combo box named combo6.Combo 6 lists all of the company names from my customer table and includes the autokey field which is hidden.When I click on a value in my combo6 I want the values on my form to then be based on the value from combo6 whereas at the moment I select a value in combo6 and nothing happens other than combo6 now displays a different value. how to refresh/ repopulate the data based on combo6 without having to create more forms and queries.

And another question...
In my database I have a button on a form which leads to a subform popping up. On the subform popping up, I display data from the first form. However, unless I first save the original form and then go to the subform, the data isn't passed on. How can I make the button both open up the subform and save the form so that the data is passed on?
