I currently have details of my clients in a table called tblSites, this tble includes a field with an email address. I currently produce a invoice which is automatically saved as a pdf and an email generated with the invoice attached. However, a few clients do not have email addresses (these are sent by post). My code (see below) will successfully produce the email with the attachment, but if the client does NOT have an email address in the tblSites it comes up with the "Invalid use of Null" error. What I want it to do is continue the process of just saving the invoice with a Msgbox stating "This Client does not have an email address etc etc.

I have a table called Client Info which stores the clients name and their requirements (Gas safe etc). And I have a table "Job List" where i select from a drop down menu the clients and it auto fills all the requirement check boxes based on what is stored in the Client Info table. However I can't get the code to work.

I have built a db where users enter the requested information, can update, search etc. However, after about 90 days the infomration is really not any good anymore. I would like to be able ot have a way to auto delete info that it over the 90 days.
I have a column named (date) and it automatically creates the date and time via Now() function. It would be nice to have something that would delete via that columns date.
Any suggestions?
I know that I can query and delete multiple records via Access but I have worked hard to keep me out of the day to day db funtion.

Brand new on here and desparate for some help and guidence.
So far with Access I have just used it as a store of addresses to mailshot prospective clients.
However, I now need a more complex database and this is where you might be able to help.
First things first, most of my clients are in universities. This means that I can be used by more than one person in more than one department at a university.
Does this mean I need to do three tables:
1/ "University Details" which gives the address details
2/ "Department" storing the departments of the unis we work for
3/ "Client" Name of the client(s) in that department.
After this how do I link them?

I have a form that contains six boxes with the run out date for six different types of employee vaccinations each box contains a conditional format that allows it to change colour to highlight how close they are to requiring another course of injections (Green = within 6 weeks, Amber = within 2 weeks and Red = Out of date).
What i would like is similar to the conditional formatting be able to auto email the individual on the 6 week 2 week and if they happen to run out of date.
Not sure how difficult this will be my access knowledge is vastly improving so any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.s I have searched the access forums and only came close with a birthday greeting style auto email but the fact i want to be a pain and auto email at different intervals hampered that idea!

have a vba code written to have my MS Access 2007 tell Outlook to send an e-mail with several attachments to whom it may concern, but I need it to change the "From" field in the e-mail, because there's many people who can send this, but it's looking like it's all being sent as my user. I am working on Access2007. I designed a report that I need to email every night automatically to my client. The report resides in the Access database. I currently use a macro to auto email this report for me but it still requires me to double click the macro to make it run. I actually want the report to be email at night without having me running the macro manually. Is there any way to make this happen?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have created this database for a lessons learnt system. Is it possible in Access 2007 to create a button that if pressed automatically sends an email out to someone? So my main form in the database is a split form which contains a search filter, which works well and also contains a button called add new lesson. This button is linked into another form and when pressed brings up this new form. In this form it has a save and close button. What I actually would like is when the form is updated and this save and close button is pressed, an email is sent to a "project head" who has to confirms the information before the data is saved into the database. Is this actually possible?

I have put together some Access 2010 Databases and I am about to embark on another soon. I have been given a request that I can't seem to solve yet so I am goint to ask it here as a good starting point. The goal is to build a database for a magazine. They want to be able to run a report to generate slips for subscribers whose subscriptions have expired. I would like to, if possible, generate reports and send them to the respective clients via email, all with the push of 1 button. I don't want to have to find each subscriber and do one off reports.

Form 1 = Main menu with options to go to Form 2 and Form 3
Form 2 = Employee information form which includes email address
Form 3 = Employee document upload form
My goal is once the Employee is registered in Form 2 they can then upload a document in Form 3. When they upload this document and fill out other parameters Including their bosses name (which is captured as a record in Form 2) they click "Submit Form." rowsource is a query called qryVacations
the query should calculated two things
1 - the difference between start_vac and End_vac in days to calculate the vacation period and put the value in field called Period (working well)
2-the work days which the period between the last day in Previous record (End_Vac) and the (Start_Vac) in the next record (didn't work)
the result is the difference between (End_Vac) and (Start_Vac) in the same record which i don't want
simply i want to calculate the work days.
I have to count the number of days each week (7 days) that a person has worked - simple enough.
But - what if they come off the job within the week?
I have been using the DateDiff function which is fine.
In the database they have a Mobdate and a DeMobDate but if the DeMobDate falls within the week the whole thing falls apart?

I have problem with my code here. I am using this code to determine if the LogDate with a weekday of Sunday can be declare as Sunday Work or Regular Work. The 1st week of my entry can determine if the LogDate is Sunday then compute if it reaches a 7 days working, if he is absent even 1 (one) day in his previous working days within the week. His Sunday LogDate is considered as Regular Days instead of Sunday Work. Can anyone tell me what is wrong in this code?
The problem here is the computation of 7 days after 1 week. There should be a 7 days computation every week per month in able to declare Sunday Work or Regular Work. I tried this code but it did not work on 2nd week, 3rd week and 4th week of the month.
How come on 2nd week, Sunday (LogDate) is not considered as Sunday Work even he completed the 7 days (working days) per week? I need help on this ASAP Thanks

I have a form where a start date is inputted (Inputfrm , StartDate) and a form where the end date of the process is recorded (Inspectionfrm , EndDate) and these both record in the table InputTbl as StartDate and EndDate respectively.
I have created a union query which shows a list of all the dates where there is work recorded (WorkingDatesQry and the column of list of unique dates is "WorkingDate"), and as we run a highly varied schedule depending on time of the year and order numbers I cannot just use a query which says Monday-Friday or Tuesday - Saturday.What I am trying to do is to find the number of days between StartDate and EndDate where there is a date recorded in the WorkingDates query.
