I use Access to e-mail advice reports to my project managers. I have done this for many months using a macro "sendobject". For some reason this week I get the message "Can't Open Mail Session". When I look at the help note it says there might not be enough memory, close other applications but this is not the problem as I have nothing else open. I have tried it on another machine and still get the same message.
Any ideas?

I’ve made a database (MS Access 2000) with all my clients. I collect a lot of contact info, including e-mail.
I want to make a function which opens a new mail window (Outlook 2003) and automatically puts in the e-mail from my form (In the send-to field of outlook).
Is this possible? And how?

I am creating a database to track a student's course load in a degree program.
When the student enteres their ID on the first form I want to retain that value so subsequent forms and views display their records, or allow new entries/updates to different tables without re-entering their ID. I'm having no luck passing the value entered into the first form's text box to other processes selected prior to closing out the database.

I have a pop up reports tied to my form so the usere can press the see list report of all the equipment they just scanned in or out of the building. I am useing the Date/Time data type (General Date) What I would like to get out of the query is when the user clicks the button it will show all entries from the time right before the button is pressed AND through 5 minutes earlier. (That would be the time that the user would of started scanning the equipment.
This is my current criteria : Between Now() And Date()
This is returning all transactions for the day. I really only want all transactions for that session.
I am creating a student database in ms access2007 but finding difficult to go further. In my database, I have created the following

PaymentTable
Then a query from the payment that shows student I'd,arrears,amount due,paid. And balance
My question is
1.How do I transfer the students and their balance to a new semester and session
2.Do I have to new student and payment tables every semester bcos payment are made every semester
3. I want to keep each students payment for as long as they remain in the school
4. A session is made up three semesters how do I transfer students to a new session
May be my tables layout are faulty...
I have constructed an application in Access2010 that uses the ActiveX WebBrowser Control.I am using the Web Browser control to navigate a website that only allows one session at a time and normally (if using a regular web browser) if you close the tab you're working on, you have to completely close the browser and reopen it to be able to acces the website again.
I have this application on 2 networks.
On PC
A) when using the WebBrowser control I can navigate to the site. But if I need to navigate away or need to log in as a different account on the site, I can close an reopen the form and that will suffice to regain access to the site.
However on PC
B) it will not allow me to navigate back to the site by closing and reopening the form (the website recognises it is not a new session). I have to close the entire database and reopen it to get the site to work again.
I would very much like PC B) to be behaving in the same manner as PC A) so that I do not have to tell users to restart the whole database in order to reaccess the site.
I'm creating an attendance tracking system, the attendance system needs to : Allow an instructor to enroll students into one or more classes, and then add attendance by date to each class(es). The problem that I'm having is, attendance is tracked by the number of hours that a student attends class. For instance, if class1 is in session from 8a.m. - 12p.m. student1 may only stay 2.50 hours of that class and student2 may stay 3 hours. The teacher needs to be able to add attendance to class1 for July 12, 2013 and add hours for each student enrolled in this class session who attended on that day. I have a report based on a query that has data for many dates. At the moment I have put a specific date in the criteria of the query so that I could build the report format. So it now displays all the data for the date i have in the criteria section. I will need to run this report several times per week so the specified date (and corresponding data in the report) will need to be changed to a new date when I open the report i.e. when I open my report I want to show data in the report only for a specified date.
Can I create a date parameter box open up when I open the report? Can I create a form with a button that when I click will open the report displaying data for that date? What would be the best way?I also need to display the specified date on the report.
I've searched the site and haven't really come up with an answer for this. I have a Report that I want e-mailed to two people every 10 days. If someone could give me a direction to start in, it would be appreciated.

I am totally new to Access and this is my first database.
I have a database for volunteers in which table A is basically a calendar and table B a list of volunteers with their details.
What I want to do is construct a report that will allow me to produce a mail merge letter such that:
1. One volunteer, with his/her information, is selected from table B and inserted into a mail merge letter. (The volunteer selected will change from letter to letter).
2 Certain days are selected from table A and added to the mail merge letter. This information will be the same in all letter.
I have posted a separate thread asking how I can make the selection of days in (2) above so you can assume that I know how to make the selection within table B.
How do I proceed?
If anyone knows a good example of this type of report then i will be extremely grateful.
I have a table that has, among others, Address1, Address2 and Address3. If Address2 andor Address3 are empty for a particular record, I get blank lines in the Word doc. How do I prevent these blank lines?

I have made it so that each cd that is bought by each customer is a different transaction in a transaction table, and each transaction is given an order number to group them. How do i get the mail merge to show all the transactions in an order on the invoice in my word doc because at the moment, even if i add two of the title name fields, they both show the same transaction.

I am trying to create an e-mail link in my "about" tab. All I need is a piece of text "me@myemail.com" that any user can click (it could be a button too). Clicking on the text (or button) would open the e-mail program with my address in the "To" field and "Question about the database" in the subject line. The user would then be able to type the email and send it.
All of us use the Novell Groupwise e-mail program.
This has to be simple, but scanning through the other threads, I get horribly confused because it appears than many lines of code have to be written and I am no code expert. There has to be an easier way of doing this....
Any suggestions?

I am editing the design of a census, and I would like to be able to mail merge form the query directly to a new document in microsoft word...so you can create the document and then merge to it, is this possible using a macro or VBA? I can't work out how to do it!! The query name is "List of Families" and I want to merge to a blank document, so I can create a different document everytime...as the letters aren't circulars!

We have a database that keeps track of technical orders. We get e-mails on what we are supposed to implement on a particular tech. order. Is there anyway I can attach or make a copy of this email or something to have it in a field of my form?

Hi I have set up some automated e-mail, My problem now is that when i bring up outlook to send email, I want the users to be able to put their business contacts on there from their address book. Meaning my program does not controll the TO, CC, or BCC...
HOWEVER! I need to create a log of these fields, amongst other things whenever a user emails from my application. IS it possible to pull information like that back off of outlook when they send the email ? or am I SOL ?
