Cannot Load Post From A Specific Date And Time.

Hi, i cannot load posts from a specified date and time
PostDate = now()

I gets an error when posting messages, i think is because: tblPost.PostDate = '"&PostDate&"'
PostDate is no text field, its a Date field and i tried to use this symbol: ' around postdate, i also tried to not use it, but then i gets another error:
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'tblPost.PostDate = 12/11/2005 10:32:50 AM and tblPost.PostBy = 6'.
but that is because the date/time format uses spaces.
How can i fix this?

I have an attendance database and I connect the time attendance machine db to my access db, what i am trying to do is to generate a report that shows the time in and time out for specific date. the type of attendance db is date/time.
Please see the attached screenshot db from attendance machine.
an also some time there is duplicate entry, I need to get the first and the last entry only for specific date.

I have a form for creating projects in a database. I originally set this up with 5 buttons for when the project is due to be at 1 hr, 2 hrs, etc. Now, they "management" want me change two of these for end of shift of on the current day and start of shift for the next day. This is the code I had before for the 6 hrs:

hi this is my first post. This is probably so basic you will think i am stupid but your help would be appritiated.
I have a very simple database which displays the questions stored in a table in a form . The recipent answers the questions generaly yes or No. On answering yes or no i wish to attach values (hidden) to thier answers and then based on the answers produce a simple set of bar charts. I have tried but do not know how to assign the values to the questions . i would then like to produce 5 bar charts 1 for each of the catogories and one as a total (as an overall and also in sub groups of which there are 4 each of which has a field with a specific prefix either b,c,r,s dependant on the type of question. )

I have a weekly list of transactions that come in the format DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS, I need to tag these individual transactions with a week number. The problem is, I can't use the Datepart function etc. as the day is classed as running from 8am to 8am rather than midnight. I have a list of all of the weekly date ranges for a few years (with the time) so I was able to solve this problem in excel by using the Index and Match functions. However, I'm trying to automate this process as much as possible so I'd rather perform this function in Access.

I have a continuous form that is slow on loading a portion of the code. The form is designed to pull students who need to be either warned or terminated based off of their GPA. Below is the code that is delayed in being displayed on the form:

To select data that falls within this criteria of date range between cboDate and cboDate2 (fields on my form). The date in [tblJobDetails]![timeIn] come in this format "08/17/06 10:24 AM", but the cboDate/cboDate2 (takes in date only e.g 08/17/06) what i am after is to evaluate specific hard coded time in addition to the date entered, i.e. even tho, i haven't entered time on the cboDate/cboDate2, I want specific time hard coded where e.g If i select a date range of 08/17/06 and 08/18/06 on my cboDate and cboDate2 it should really be evaluating: 08/17/06 8:00 AM to 08/18/06 8:00 AM.
This is the criteria i curentlly have on my query in design view tha works perfect in selecting date only.

I have a database with date and time each stored in a separate field. Now I want to query the database based on a start date/time and an end date/time. I started with the code below but it only returns events within the same time range on each day when what I really need is every event from a specified date and time through a specified date and time.

so i have an interesting question and im hoping that someone can help on this one. i need to pull date from a specific table, no problem, that's written and working fine, next i need to be able to join the data from another table by a primary key, again no problem. third, i need to be able to select the date (using WHERE) for a specific date range. (i.e. i enter the date range of 01/7/2007 to 15/7/2007) and the query comes back only showing the data from that specific time, not the data from before or after. this is where my problem lies, all the entered data is being shown after entering my date range. i am going to include my SQL statement, just so you can actually see what im really talking about.

Ok, so I have this table (tblPayPeriod) with the fields Start Date, Stop Date, Pay Period & Percent FY. The Percent FY field is a Number field that gives off the percent of the fiscal year (FY) that we are in.
Then I have a report (rptDistrictMgr) that in the header I want it to display what percent of the fiscal year we are in based on the Auto_Date that is in the header.
So, if the Auto_Date is December 17, 2014, we are (according to tblPayPeriod) 24.1% into the fiscal year and I want the 24.1% to display in the text box which called Text99.
I would just like a simple dlookup that I can use as the control source of the text box or an expression to put into the On Load sequence.

I know in Access that you can filter your work load criteria for each employee which is fine using Como boxes to filter down specific criteria for that employee, however I'm trying to achieve it with date filters between certain dates, and it works but ends up filtering the dates for every employee, I just want it to filter that specific employee .

I have a form (Access 2010) in which i insert contracts; each contract has a start and an expiry date, but instead of dd/mm/yyyy i would like the user to be able to insert just the year, while the day and month are predefined values and they are automatically inserted (i.e. 01/10/yyyy; the year being the only value that changes, and it is manually inserted by the user).
I would like to set a pop up remainder (on form load) x days before the expiry date, but, because too many of them have the same expiry date i am wondering if the reminder can be set on different days, based on another field (i.e. partner location [country]).. i.e. reminder for contracts with Austria to pop up 60 days before expiring, for UK = 67 days and so on.. or even a specific day for each, i.e. for Austria = 01/08/yyyy, for UK 01/09/yyyy).

I have a database that stores information for lab testing. Each time a tech does a "step" in the test process he logs it in the table, using an input form. There are different categories, for example preparation, testing, analysis, etc, and each of those steps take time. I have the form autopopulate the date and time with NOW() evertime the form is updated. What i want to do is calculate the time it takes to do each in days. I can easily get how many days it was from now since they logged the test, =NOW()-TestDateTime. What I want to do is get the number of days it took to do each step, ie the number of days between each event. Is there a way to do this?

I have a date/time text field on a form with the General Date format and a combo box next to it that has sequencial times as the row source (IE. 12:45 AM, 1:00 AM, 1:15 AM, 1:30 AM, ETC.) When the user chooses a time in the combo box, I want the time portion of the text box to be updated with the chosen time in the combo. I have tried a few things but cant seem to get it right.

I would like to have a macro run at a set time each day. I hoped to use .ontime but apparently that doesn't exist in access.
The macro must run at 10:00am each day, the db will be open from 8:30am until 16:30pm so no problem from that point of view +/- a few mins when the staff arrive.

Ok let me explainI have a list of 50 people who may have accessed events A,B,C at different times but what I want to do is to put a date in my form, run the quaery which will list all people who have Attended A,B or CWhen I do my normal query, I put the fields in, but if I put a date filter in Event A, it will not show up any person who may have attended event B but not Event A.I thought about running an append query but this would mean running the data several times with possible duplication of client names.Ideally I would like to have my report to showDate: 31/07/2006Name A B CK.Brown Y YJ Blogg Y YK Smith YK Ellum Y Ythen I can just use a count at the bottom :)The methods I have tired will filter event date A, but will not show J BloggIf I create another append for Event B, and append that data to a table, then I will have duplicaion of K Brown.. I'm trying to create a query that will sum the total time of a specific field. It seems to be doing it, however the value is off by by a couple minutes on all my examples.
Table
- BusArrivalTime
- BusDepartTime
Query
In my Query I'm making a new field like this. It correctly figures out the difference.
BusWaitTime: DateDiff("n",[BusArrivalTime],[BusDepartTime])
Report
Next I'm displaying that Query information inside of a Report by putting this in the Text Box on the Report. It correctly displays the time in the Hours/Minutes format.
=[BusWaitTime]60 & Format([BusWaitTime] Mod 60,":00")
Lastly, I'm using another Text Box on the Report to Sum the Grand Total of the Wait Time for all my records. Here is what Im putting in the Control Source
=Sum([BusWaitTime])60 & Format([BusWaitTime] Mod 60,":00")
...and it's summing my records, but the value is off by a few minutes and I cant figure out why.
In my example, I have 3 records with times of 3:14, 1:35, and 3:20. It should be totaling a figure of 8:09 but its coming to 8:14 instead.

Any way I can set a table up with an intrinsic limit, specifically that only ONE record at a time (this will vary) can possibly have value X selected from a lookup field containing assigned values X, Y and Z. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?

I would like to design and build a database that can match one to one meetings between companies with specific time slots.
For example, we have two sets of people: buyers and sellers. A buyer could specify which sellers they would be interested in meeting. The database would then work out which buyers could meet with which sellers, and when.

Wonder if someone can help please. I'm quite new to Access so please bear with me.
I have a data field in my database consisting of both a date and time.
I then have a form containing two fields where the user can type a 'To' and 'From' date to extract the records that they are interested in. The query behind this uses the 'Between[Enter The Date] And [Enter The Date]' coding.
The problem is that because the field contains a time it doesn't return any records when I run the query.
Can anyone offer a bit of guidance on how I could ignore the time part of the field perhaps by adapting the above.
