Changing Command Button Text Colour.

Jun 30, 2006

Hi all,

I'd like to change the colour of the text in a command button when the user click the button, but for the text to return to it's original colour when the botton pops back up.

I'm assuming you use the following commands:

Private Sub cmdClose_MouseDown(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)
*******CODE********
End Sub

Private Sub cmdClose_MouseUp(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)
*******CODE********
End Sub

But I'm not sure as to how I would enter the correct code.

Any help would be appreciated,

Best Regards,

Aaron

Changing Forms With Button Command

Oct 1, 2004

I want to open a new form with information related to the main form.

The code I've used is:
Private Sub GoToContacts_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_GoToContacts_Click
Dim stDocName As String
Dim stLinkCriteria As String
stDocName = "Contacts"

stLinkCriteria = "[Outside Rep]=" & Me![Outside Rep]
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, , , stLinkCriteria
Exit_GoToContacts_Click:
Exit Sub
Err_GoToContacts_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_GoToContacts_Click

End Sub

When I use the button I get an error message for a "Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression.

Any suggestions?

Changing A Command Button According To The Number Of Records

Nov 13, 2007

I have a subform where you can add multiple records. i have a command button labelled NEXT (which obviously navigates to the next record) but I only want this to be enabled when there is more than one record.

I am OK on the enabling bit but how do you specify if the record number >1?

Does someone have time to start me off on some code?

Changing The Forecolor Of A Command Button Accroding To An Event

Apr 18, 2006

Can someone give me a jump start with code for changing forecolor...

On one form (form 1) I have a command button (cmd34) which has its text in Black (forecolor 335543)

On another form (form 2) I have a checkbox (chk45)

When the check box is checked I want the text on the command button to change to red (forelolor 255).

1. Where do i put the code? On the second form (On Close) or on the first form (On Open) or ???

2. Is the code something like

If me.chk45=true then
Cmd45.forecolor=255

Or am i just making that far too simplistic?

How To Input Text Via Dedicated Command Button

Sep 20, 2011

I have 2 text boxes and 1 push button for each text box for input to table. When I click on 'SaveInput1' only Input1 is save onto the Table and when 'SaveInput2' is click only Input2 is save. I want each command button to save each input separately.

I know ACCESS have a SAVE RECORD function, but I do not want to use this because it will save the entire record all at once.

TextBox1 = Input1
TextBox2 = Input2
Commandbutton1 = SaveInput1
Commandbutton2 = SaveInput2

Forms :: Filter Form With Two Text Boxes / Command Button?

Mar 22, 2013

I am trying to filter a form by using two unbound text boxes that a user can enter in their criteria and then clicking a command button to filter the form using the criteria entered into the text boxes. My fields are as follows:

Bound Field: MondayD1
Unbound text box: txtMonday
Bound Field: SundayD7
Unbound text box: txtSunday
Command Button: cmdSelect
MondayD1 = txtMonday
SundayD7 = txtSunday

I have looked up several options using vb for the on click event of the command button but I either get an error message or the form shows up blank.

Colour Changing Fields In List Box

Mar 16, 2008

Hi there guys,

I need a little help on a little situation. Basically, my client for my school project wants to be able to see graphically if orders sent to their bookstore have been processed or not. So i suggested a change of cololour of the fields.

Now I have created a Form containing the orders as they are stored in a list box, (both already processed and unprocessed orders), now I want to be able to allow each item in the list box to be either Red (if unprocessed) or green (if processed) so the user can see which ones they need to deal with. Im guessing this would take some VB, but if anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it :).

PS, if you do provide VB could you please explain a little of whats going on as i have to annotate all the code I use and im not too profficient in VB

Thanks a lot

Dan

Changing Field Background Colour

Mar 31, 2006

I'm opening a form in snapshot view and would like the background colour of all the fields in the form to be a dark colour to show that it is in snapshot. the user then clicks Amend and the background colour would change to something lighter to show they can amend the record. Is there any way of on the OnClick event of the Amend button change all the fields (and there's lots) at once without having to name them all individually, ie:

Me.text1.background = whatever
me.text2.background = whatever

Thanks

Changing Colour In Datasheet View

Jun 27, 2006

Well, I got asked to do this with a datasheet view today, and I found after searching the forum that I'm not sure how to do it, and no one else seems to have done this either.

Basically I need to flag a row in a datasheet subform dependant on if a date field is more than 1 month ago and if the status field is set to pending. I looked at conditional formatting, but that only seems to let me set a condition on a single field at a time.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Forms :: Command Button To Populate Unbound Text Boxes From Subform Only Works Once

May 22, 2015

I have a tabbed form from which the user can select a contact's record from a subform on the first tab, click a edit command button, and the unbound text boxes on the top of that tab populate. The user can then click the second tab with employment history which has blank unbound text boxes and another subform which is linked by the contact id to the first tab.

The user can select a record in the second tab, click a command button and the text boxes populate no problem. The problem comes when the user changes the contact on the first tab, and then tries to edit a record on the second tab. Then I get a run-time error '-2147352567 (80020009)' saying the value you entered isn't valid for this field. Why it would work the first time by not the second?
