Continuous Models And Hide Some Fields
Oct 14, 2014I have a continuous form. Is it possible to hide a particular field in one record only. Where I put in front of each record checkbox, which is hidden for example field (age).

Forms :: Hide Number Fields Of Specific Record On Continuous Subforms
Mar 8, 2014I have a continuous subform recording the information of various wireless products for an employee embedded in an employee main form. Please see screen shot enclosed.
There is a check box "BYOD/Personal" on the subform. I want to hide a number fields when this check box on independent record is checked. However, if I use the following codes, the changes apply to all records under that employee.
Private Sub BYOD/Personal_AfterUpdate()
If BYOD/Personal.Value = True then
Me.Provider.Enabled = False
Me.XXX.Enabled = False....etc.
Else
Me.Provider.Enabled = True
Me.XXX.Enabled = True....etc.
End If

How can I just disable those fields on the subform of a specific record when the BYOD/Personal field for that record is checked?
Hide Combo Box In Continuous Form
Jul 12, 2005Is it possible to hide or show a combo in certain records in a continuous form. i.e if certain certain conditions are met.
At present I have if Check1 = true then Combo1.Visible = true
The trouble is it then displays the combo in all records.
Hide Combobox On Continuous Form
Sep 22, 2006I do not like the look of combo boxes on continuous forms. I think that they really take away from an aesthetic I am trying to create. However, I really like their functionality.
What I would like to do is have a text box for the field when the control does not have focus, but switch it to a combobox when it does. Now, this is pretty easy to do - however, it ends up switching all of the text boxes on the continuous form to a combo box and back. I only want to switch the currently selected record.
Does anyone know if this is possible, or have any ideas as to how to accomplish this?
Continuous Forms - Hide A Control In A Record?
Sep 20, 2005I have a form that displays its records in a Contiuous Form. The controls on the form are: txtRecID, txtStudID, cboTrimester, cboType, fld Comment, and blnReqConf.
My issue is that I need the blnReqConf (Request Conference) checkbox and label controls to only show on the reocrds when/if the cboTrimester = "Tri-2" and the cboType = "Parent" or "Teacher" are selected or displayed.
I have written:
If cboTrimester = "Tri-2" And (cboType.Column(1) = "Teacher" Or cboType.Column(1) = "Parent") Then
blnReqConf.Visible = True
lblReqConf.Visible = True
Else
blnReqConf.Visible = False
lblReqConf.Visible = False

The problem is that the controls display on all records throughout the form. How do I make it so that the controls are hidden on some records in the continous form and are shown on others based on the criteria? Is it possible?
Criteria To Show / Hide Box On Continuous Form?
Oct 27, 2015I want to show or hide a box on a continuous form. If there is a date in the ShopOut field i want the label to show up , if not then it will not appear.
I am trying
If IsNull(Me!ShopOut) Then
Me.StillinShop.Visible = True
Else
Me.StillinShop.Visible = False
End If
however, it shows the box whether there is a date in ShopOut on not. Is it possible to do this in a continous form or do i need somekind of me.record#.ShopOut or something.

Auto Rearrange Fields Or Hide Fields In DataSheet Based On Criteria
May 17, 2007I have main form and that has one sub-form , this Main form governs/determines the data in the sub form.
This Sub form ( DataSheet Mode) has approximately 130 columns and based on the Main form criteria only ~ 20 columns has to be filled.
What I want to do is based on the main forms criteria I want to show only the columns that are applicable to main form criteria.
If I use Columnar or Tabular single form for the Sub Form I am able to hide the fields that are not required BUT IT LEAVES A SPACE/GAP on form ( for the hidden fields that are not required)

Or is there a way by VBA program to select fields ( Columns) from a table to be displayed on a sub form based on a criteria

I was wondering if there is a way to stop displaying fields on a form which contain spaces or blank values. I m using a query that takes data from a table named School
I have a table which have 5 fields. lets say: Field1, Field2, Field3, Field4, Field5
My fields from 1 to 3 have data but field4 and field5 do not have a value in it. What i wish to achieve is to show only those fields which have a value in it. Blank or field with spaces must not be displayed. Is It Possible.

I need to be able to have user run 5 different queries,
I think, and have the results from those queries show
up one under the other on one form footer.
Ex. fld 1 fld 2 fld 3 Date Range
fld 1 fld 2 fld 3 Date Range
fld 1 fld 2 fld 3 Date Range
Each of the rows would be based on a different query.
Also,
part of the query has a date range, and I would like
to have the Date Range from query show up next
to each row.

Remove/hide Unwanted Fields In A Query
Jan 11, 2005I have a query which contains about 19 fields in it and some of the fields contain parameters. What I'm trying to do is to run the query using the parameters I've set, but at the same time remove fields that are empty (therefore only fields that are populated will be shown). I've tried using the 'is not null' parameter but it seems to interfere with the other parameters that I've set and as a result the query doesn't show any information. Also the field containing the 'is not null' parameter is still being shown. I'm not really sure what else to try!! Any suggestions would be most appreciated!!

How can I get access to hide certain fields or controls on a form if a certain field has no data?
Allow me to explain further:
I have a form that displays data = frmPlantMain
and a associated image = Image1
The image is stored outside of the db as a jpeg and the field in the record source table (Image1) contains a link to the image. For example: C:databasePicture1.jpg
There is also a hidden text box that contains the message "No Image available" = lbl_NoPix
This would be displayed in place of the image if no image has been inserted.
I also have a seperate "insert new image" command button = cmdInsertPic
If the current record has a image then I want to have the controls Image1,lbl_NoPix & cmdInsertPic hidden. This seems fairly easy but it gets more complicated now.
If there is no image I would like these controls visable so that the user can add a new image. I would then need the record to be requiried or refreshed to reflect the fact that a new image has been added.
This is where I fall down - I do not know how to tell access to look at the field in the table (Image1) and if there is no linked or associated image then set the visable propertys of controls a,b & c on the form to true.
I hope I have explained my problem correctly and I thank you for your time in advance.

Modules & VBA :: Hide Fields When Field Is Cleared While Typing?
Jul 13, 2015I am working on a database. I created a list box (ListBox) that filters record for a form. This list box is controlled by another field (SearchBox) where I type search string.
The ListBox visibility is hidden when the form loads. It only becomes visible when the user starts to type in the SearchBox. The records gets filtered and when the user clicks on the selection, the form goes to the record and the ListBox becomes hidden again. All this works fine. My problem is for some technical reasons I want the ListBox to show only when there is character in the the SearchBox. When I try to type in the SearchBox the ListBox shows but when I try to clear the SearchBox with backspace the ListBox is still visible

Accessing Fields In Continuous Forms

I currently have a subform which relates to the primary key of the main form.
This subform contains possible 'Answers' which related back the main form/table 'Question'. Each possible answer has a true of false field to show whether or not it is the correct possible answer from the question field.
Currently the subform performs correctly, in that it shows up the 3 possible answers for each question... (in continuous form view)ie all three appear at once in 'form view' - but in the subform the only one answer and one true or false attribute appear at once.
Here is where the problem is - i need to be able to access the individual field values for these 3possible answers (in VB code). I cant work out how to do this? Does anyone know how access calls them? What will the checkboxname be? The problem is because there is only one checkbox on the form in 'Design View' (to see if the answer is the correct one), but then 3 in 'Form View', I cant work out how access distinguishes between them.

Sort Continuous Form By Two Fields
Jun 25, 2006Is it possible to sort a continuous form by two fields?
ie. If two records have the same value in one field, look at the second field to see which one is displayed first.
I was thinking that it might help to combine the two text boxes into one (a not visible text box) and sort it by that, but I don't know how to sort by an unbound, not visible text box either...
Any suggestions?

Ive written the following code to an onclick event for a check box labeled "assigned" on my form, the problem is it executes on all the records in my form.

first - by App_Flag (a yes/no field) - have all the clients with "yes" on top
second - by App_Date - from the earliest to the latest
The query sorts it fine but the form does not - even if I requery the form (added a requery button).
Can a macro or coding make it sort it the way I need it?

It appears that the code works partially - the values in the "AOBJ" field are as they be and so are the values in "AVAILABLE" field. The values in the "ORG" and "AGFND" fields will not sort.
Is what I'm trying to do even possible?
