I have a form that the user enters employees daily duties. I have code to run sql after the BoxNum field has data in it. I want it to look at the BoxNum field and the dropdown box for the task to see if the entered box number has already been completed for the task selected on the form. Here is what my code looks like now. The code runs but gives me the msgbox no matter if it is a made up box number and I also get a syntax error 3075.

On my data entry form I have a tab control with three pages
At the bottom of the first page I have a sub form with 3 fields
Currently, when tabbing, the focus runs through the fields as per the tab order
BUT
Once it gets to the subform (datasheet view) it jumps into the first field of the first record rather than the first 'empty cell' thereby starting a new record in the datasheet.
Once the three fields in the datasheet are completed the focus tabs back to the top of the first page of the form rather than onto the next page of the form
How to correctly reference controls using VBA so I could SetFocus where I want?
The Main form is called frm_Admissions
It has three pages called Patient, Treatment & Service Providers
Patient has a subform called sub_Cluster (which may or may not hold Cluster Information)
I would like the tab order to jump from the last textbox on the form into the first field of a new record in the datasheet (rather than the first field of any existing records)
Once it has finished in the datasheet I need to tab to the first field/textbox in the Treatment's page of the form rather than back to the first field/textbox in the Patient's page.
I've got a form, user inputs a whole bunch of data and the data is stored into 2 different tables (using a form and subform), however i also need to copy a few fields from the subform into another table (as a new record) the table i intend to insert this data into (tblAdjustments) has four fields (that im interested in) Type, Reason, Quantity and Product (not the exact names) Type and reason are both just straight strings and will be the same each time, regardless of what the other two variables are, so i need type to equal "Finished Goods" and Reason to equal Produced further to that, the subfrom has 2 fields, batchPackedQTY (which will be quantity in the new table) and fgID (product in the new table
so i need an insert into statement that does this, ive tried INSERT INTO tblAdjustment (adjType, adjReason, fgID, adjQTY) ("Finished Goods", "Produced", Forms!SubFormBatches.fgID, Forms!SubformBatches.batchPackedQTY)
I have an unbound control in data input form requiring to input a 6-digit number. I have put a validation rule restricting more than 6 digits. Most users prefer to enter, say 123 and the system can enter the 3 leading zero for them.
I have table that I had to add a new field to which we update with a form. I tried to add a control for the new field but the field does not show up in the list for the control source. I am trying to add a list box to the form with a blank and 5 options.
I have attached screen shots of the table design and the form. The table has the field in datasheet view and I have manually entered a few entries in it but it still will not show in the control source for the form control. The top section of the form is where we enter and select the data for the new records. The bottom section (circled in red) autofills the matching record, from separate tables, for updating with the new entries.
I have added form controls for modified fields in the past so I am confused about why this is happening.
If I have a tab control in a form, with a form on each tab, will the data from all the tab's forms have to be loaded when I open the 'host' (don't know what to call it) form? I can't tell if the load time is increased, as there isn't much data there yet, so it's pretty much instant anyway...
Hopefully a simple one that is eluding me at the moment. I have a control on a sub form that refers to a value on another subform. When I enter data in the controls subform it will display the correct answer. However, when I close the form and return to it later the control is blank and will only display the answer if I go into another field on the form and make a modification to the data. It seems that the control will only calculate on an after update event but I need it to be visible at all times when the form is open. I have tried requery on open and on load with no effect. Any thoughts out there?

Using 3 tables, for products, orders and sales. Hi All. I have a query that is based on 1 table. I am using a form with a calendar control for the users to select the date range. In my table the date format is mm/dd/yyyy. My calendar control is pulling the date format mm/dd/yyyy I need my query to only look at the mm/dd part of the field. In my criteria field inc_date I have Between [Forms]![frm_LookUpEnquiry]![txtSelectDate] And [Forms]![frm_LookUpEnquiry]![txtDate2] I have tried the datepart but Im not sure I am doing it right. Basicly Im not sure how to parse out the date to only look at the mm/dd. Or would this be better done in a SQL query Any Idea's for this would be very appreciated. Im kinda in a bind on this one and its the last thing I have to do to finish this database.
I have a search page and would like to display the search results in a grid/table format. User will be able to select a row to go to a detail screen. What is the best component type to use for this?
I know some basic code to disable a control after updating but, I have 20 or so controls that I want that to happen to as the record is updated over time. Is there a way to group all those controls and have them evaluated after going dirty instead of having to code each control?
I am using the following control source for a text box on a report: =nz([Raw_Turb], "---")When I do, it pulls data from a different field from the data source. I am pulling the data directly from the data table. I have tried creating a query and get similar results only from a different data field!I have tried the same control source on a different report and it works correctly! Why does it not work on the current report?
i have a total in an invoice with is a tabulated form with totals in the detail footer I want to post the calculated total (control) to a table. How ia this done.
I understand the IIF(), but what's happening with the crazy characters? (It works the text changes from yellow to green). I tried replacing it with conditional formatting on the actual data control. That only changes color when I click on the control. The above shows the color all the time.
When I right click a row on the data sheet side of a split form an select "New Record" I want the curser to go to the first field on the single record side. I've placed this in the OnCurrent but it did no good.

e.g If I open form x then from this form I open my modal form "frmZlecenia" and then I will click "menu" button - now form "x" is open :/, but should be "frmZleceniaMarzenaNawigacjaPD"

Almost after a year of perfect working i am facing a problem.When i save the record , in date field my date and month values are reversed if date is between 1-12.although my database stores perfectly valid date. for example if date is "10-09-2014" (dd-mm-yyyy) after saving form date field becomes "09-10-2014". but if date is "13-09-2014" The date form field retains this value .
I am trying to open TabCtl86 forms in AddData mode if there are no records in a table for a user chosen form cboClientSearch. The tab control has three pages on it. At the moment I am getting an error saying "the form named '0' is either misspelled or doesn't exist".

I have a form, with a tab control on it. Each tab has a subform to display data. One tab is meant to be a summary tab of the rest, so I want to pull data from certain controls on each of the other tabs to display on the Summary tab.
If I set the ControlSource to Forms!subfrmLABOUR!txtTotalHours.Value the control just displays #Name?
I assume that means it can't reference the ControlSource. Is it just a syntax thing? I've tried various methods, but no luck.
I have a form with a tabbed control on it. The tabbed control has 4 tabs that each have a report on them. When I select a company name on the main form, I requery these 4 reports to show data related to that company.
For some strange reason, 2 of my reports requery with no problem, and 2 of them give me a message that the report can't be found. Here is the code:

As a side note, if I chose the company, say "ok" to the error, and then go run the queries that these reports are based on, I get the correct records. Also, if I chose the company and run the 2 failing reports standalone, they work fine, so I know the problem isn't the reports or the queries themselves.
I have also checked and rechecked for any spelling mistakes and have found none. I should mention that the error message is "Programs cannot find the field 'SubrptCompany_Payback' referred to in your expression".

When the user selects an option in the option box, "FilterListBox" is updated to either "1", "2" or "1 or 2"..One of the fields in the query for "lstCustomer" is "CustomerType" and its criteria is set as follows:
if "FilterListBox" = 1 the query for "lstCustomer" returns the correct records if "FilterListBox" = 2 the query for "lstCustomer" returns the correct records
But if "FilterListBox" = 1 or 2, no records are returned.
I have a form where the user types in a part of a name and then he can view the details of all the people that their name has that string.
But I am having trouble writing the query that will do this...I have tried using: WHERE fieldname LIKE '*[forms]![formname]![controlname]*'
Hoping that if instead of the string I would give the control that has the string it will work. But of course that doesnt work (the simple solution never works :o). and I guess that the syntax is different when using a control. so... What do I need to Write in order to make it work?
