I'm trying to figure out how many day are between now and a date on my form.
I've done a search, but I can't find much that talks about DateDiff().
Here is what I have so far and it's not working. I'm typing this value into a text box on a form.
=DateDiff(Day,Now(),"ASSIGNED_DATE_TIME")
I want the interval to be in days.
Thanks.
I'm trying to find the difference between 2 dates [Start_Date] and [End_Date], however I want to strip out out of hours work, which is [OOH_START] eg, 17:30 and [OOH_END], eg, 08:00. Also I need to strip out the weekends as well.
I need to calculate (in a query) the Actual Time of a job. I have the start date, start time, end date & end time (all separate fields). This seems to works ok by subtracting the start from the end.
Then I need to calculate the Estimated Time (time it should have taken). This is done by taking the Quantiy divided by the Rate-Per-Hour. This seems to work out ok in the Query, e.g., 101000 / 15000 = 6.66667 hours. But when I display this result in a report as a "Short Time", I get 16:00 instead of 6:40. How can I get the correct display? The other problem is that I need to divide the Estimated Time by the Actual Time. This also gives me wierd results - I suppose because one is a decimal format time and the other is a "Short Time" format. How can I get the correct answer?
I'm trying to work out the difference between 2 records both of which have a call out date [bas start date]..basically the structure is
equipment number call number bas start date 12345678 112255 1/7/14 12345678 112256 3/7/14
What i'm after is the 4th column to work out the date diff... in this case 2 days the equipment can be multiple times so i might see equipment number 12345678 - upto 10 times with consecutive dates - all of which i need to know the difference between the current call date and the previous call date..
I have two fields in a table, both containing dates. I would like to write a query that returns the difference between the dates in an year, month, day format (i.e. 26y 2m 3d). If that isnt possible, can the difference be returned as years, days (i.e. 26y 63d).
everything has been working perfectly except for date diffs.I am simply using an unbound text box with a date diff as a calculator of sorts, which meets the form's purposes. Everything works fine when the two dates are on the SAME tab using the formula ' =DateDiff("d",[DOB],[date of treatment]) ' entered in the textbox.
The number of days between treatment and DOB pops up immediately.
However, when trying to create a second date diff between two source text boxes on SEPARATE tabs, (i.e. DOB on Tab 1, and date of treatment and the unbound date diff calc box on Tab 2) the date diff does not work unless the form is opened, and closed again. As in, the only time the number of days pops up is if the form is closed and opened again.
I have the below query (A). How do I calculate the Day of Therapy as shown in B
A MRN Last Name DOA Service startDate INR Dose WarfID VisitID 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 6/29/2013 1.20 6 mg 10 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 6/30/2013 1.20 6 mg 11 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/1/2013 1.3 6 mg 12 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/2/2013 1.40 6 mg 13 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/3/2013 1.40 7.5 mg 14 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/4/2013 1.70 7.5 mg 15 138 12001 Smith 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/5/2013 2.00 7.5 mg 16 138 11002 Brown 7/1/2013 Warfarin 7/1/2013 1.00 2 mg 17 139 11002 Brown 7/1/2013 Warfarin 7/2/2013 1.3 4 mg 18 139 11002 Brown 7/1/2013 Warfarin 7/3/2013 1.50 2 mg 19 139 11002 Brown 7/1/2013 Warfarin 7/4/2013 1.8 2 mg 20 139 11002 Brown 7/1/2013 Warfarin 7/5/2013 2.20 2 mg 21 139 1205972 Jones 6/28/2013 Warfarin 7/6/2013 1.0 6.5 mg 29 138

What I really want is to calculate the time (# day) it takes to reach a target goal INR (2-3) I have tried DateDiff between DOA (date of admission) and Start date but this obvious won’t work because some patient won’t start on warfarin until later.
Another possibility is to calculate date difference between two rows in same column but I don’t know how For example Pt 1 = It take 7 days to reach an INR of 2, Patient #2 = it takes 5 days to reach an INR 2.2 and Patient #3 takes 6 days to reach an INR of 2.1. Average = 6 days.
How to implement a functionality into my access database. The related tables required for this functionality can be found as an attachment.
When the information has been entered into the tables by the user, I would like to calculate the difference between the information for each part within the same table. The main columns for which the difference have to be calculated are: [RefObsInfo->RefSources] and [AltObsInfo->StatusAltSource] and [GenObsInfo->GenSources]. The values for these fields are restricted to 3 or 4 different ones. I also would like to show if the GenEstAvailable columns are changed, but that's for later.
In order to calculate this difference a query has to select for each Part the information related to the last date AND a date which has been specified by the user (with the previous date as max). For this the user is asked to give a from date, which she/he can select from a combobox. This combobox has a standard selected value which is the MaxDate-1, i.e. the previous date. The difference should be calculated from the previous date to the last date. I would prefer to give each (predefined) difference a specific action to show the user the difference in a matter of seconds.
Is there a way, in a query or via the use of a module, to calculate the workdays between two dates excluding holidays without needing to maintain a separate table with the holidays listed out?
For example, I would like it to calculate 21 work days for the month of May. However, I don't want to have to go in the first of each year and manually list out all the holidays for the year. Is there a way for the Holidays table to just contain the number of holidays in a given month (i.e. in December we get 3 holidays (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve).
I am trying to use a query to find the previous record of a transaction and provide an additional field that computes the difference in the dates in days. (The days from TransferID 23 to TransferID 24)
i want to write a ms access query for date difference.i have the excel formula for that.in attachment i have shown wot i really want as output.i want to make a IIf query for these conditions.
in excel i did this like: =IF(J13="",IF(INT(B13)=INT(AE13),C13-DAY(I13)+1,C13),IF(INT(AA13)=INT(B13),IF(MONTH(J13 )=MONTH(I13),J13-I13+1,DAY(J13)),IF(INT(AA13)=INT(D13),DAY(J13)-E13,0)))
I have to create a query in access that will calculate two Date and time fields [Date & Time Left]/ [Date Returned], need to figure out between the two fields. Trying to identify when the rep returned the call and the number of business hours (6:00am - 4:30pm) it takes to return a message in Ms Access 2010.
The only issue is the calculation has to be done by time and so I have to calculate what time they left the message(so the difference between [Date & Time Left] and [Date Returned) [Date & Time Left] and when the rep returned the message which is suppose to be [Date Returned] but the problem with this field is the data entry is in date format (10/9/2014, 00/00/0000) of Date and not Date and Time like the [Date & Time Left] field, so I don't know what to do now. Not sure what to do now not a database that create or have allot of control over.
I want to be able to display the result of a difference between Date/Time values in "HH.MM" format (i.e. yes I want the result in decimals and I don't want Access to round up or down just because it feels like doing it!). I have used the following:
Example 1:
Dim ActualManHours as Long ActualManHours = (txtEndTime.Value - txtStartTime.Value) * 86400 txtActualManHours.Value = ActualManHours
Example 2:
Dim ActualManHours as Long ActualManHours = DateDiff("h",txtStartTime.Value, txtEndTime.Value) & "." & Format(DateDiff("n",txtStartTime.value,txtEndTime. value) Mod 60, "00")
Example 3:
Dim StartTime as Double Dim EndTime as Double Dim ActualManHours as Long StartTime = CDbl(txtStartTime.Value) EndTime = CDbl(txtEndTime.Value) ActualManHours = EndTime - StartTime txtActualManHours.Value = ActualManHours
Could someone clarify the difference between DAO and ADO?
We migrated to Office 2003 last year - some large organizations move at the speed of continental drift. The database is written in Access 2002 (finally have most of it up and running - with thanks), but I need to really understand the difference for the documentation - to see if there are any issues that might undermine the database during the upgrade.
Hi, I have two tables, one being a subset of the other. What I want to do is write a query that lists data in the larger table that is not in the smaller one. In effect I want to subtract the data in the smaller table from the larger table and list the remainder. I have tried something like:
Select a.oem from a,b where a.oem not in (select b.man from b);
This query does not complete and I get 100% CPU usage :( . The largest of the tables has roughly 4000 records in it. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?
I have a Transactoin Table that holds the following fields:
TransID (*Primary Key Numerical Value) OrderID (Non Unique Number Value, One Order can have multiple Transactions attributed to it. Status (Numerical Value ranging from 0 to 32, each is a different phase in the life of a transaction such as 0 means Transation Created, 1 through 31 are various actions with 32 beign the transaction closing) Date (The date in which a particular phase of a particular transaction happened.) Reason (The Description of a phase. This is the only text field whose contents are relative to the Status field in the same table.)
I need to find the amount of time passed from the first Transaction to the last transaction of each individual order, which will be displayed in a report. Unfortunately not every order goes through all 32 phases, in fact most dont. The individual orders have a random amount of phases that they go through but each have a starting one (which ranges from 0 onwards) and an ending one (once again it is not necessarily 32). The dates correspond to the numbers in an individual order which means that if an order has the following phases:
1 2 4 6 Then the dates of each phase will be one after the other like the Status Number as shown above. Anybody knows how to do this? I need to find how much time passed from the first transaction to the last for each individual order qand display it in a report.
hey guys im not even sure if i have the heading right for this one. I have a table example data attached,
what i would like to do is return all transfers from that table where all the item numbers in a batch dont equal each other i.e if you subtract them all in a batch it doesnt = 0
i have know idea how to do this and dont know if this is even the right way of doing what i need which is to show transfers where some1 has transferred a product to a different one which we do want to have happen we just need to know when it was done.
I have an existing table with a field labelled Job Number (17 Job Numbers). Each month I import a new table and match each record via another field (serial number). For each new record, one or many, I want to attach a sequential Job Number. In this example the new job numbers need to start at 18 then 19 etc. How is this possible? I am fairly new to Access so please be gentle!. Cheers
