Aug 11, 2006I'm trying to make a form where the final user can type in two dates (date range) and the result will generate a report on all activity between those two dates, any ideas ?

Print Date Range On A Report Based On A Non-date Field

E.g. I generate a report based on Food, and it'll list the days that this food is associated with. Is there a way to show the first and last day that appears in this report (i.e. the range of dates that the report shows based on the food selected)

Report Date Range Problem
Oct 25, 2004I have created my report for a table and how I want it to look. The problem is when I enter my dates the report pulls however at the top of the page the range of dates just says #name rather than the dates I entered. I used sample information from a database access creates to make my report and the dates not showing up are the only issue so far. I entered sample orders into my table. The dates to enter into the date range would be 11/01/01 through 11/30/01. I have attached this sample, can someone help me with what i am doing wrong please. I'm just not sure, I have been having a lot of problems creating this database.

May 31, 2006I created a query with: Between [Forms]![Dummy]![StartDate:] And [Forms]![Dummy]![EndDate:] in it.
I created a Form with two text boxes named StartDate and EndDate and appropriate labels and buttons.
I then Created a Report, which prompts for dates and finds the data between the given Dates correctly.
Now the problem: When I create a text box in the report of the following form, I get ?Name? error on the Report: =[Forms]![Form Name]![StartDate] This should work?
Can you help me solve this last problem and acheive a good working program?

Mar 26, 2007I am using a simple " >= [BeginDate:] and <= [EndDate:]" in the criterion section of a query to allow a date range to be selected in the query which is used in a report. How can i get that [BeginDate:] and [EndDate:] info available to print on the report so it shows the actual date range being displayed in the report ? thanks.

Jan 10, 2014I have operators that enter equipment downtime information into the database. I need to create a report that pulls all records that have a start date and time based on a start date (field name FromDate on form) at 7:00 AM to an end date (field name ToDate on form) at 6:59 AM and shows the total duration in hours for each record.I'm having difficulty getting my query to display the correct results for the date and time range. Duration calculations work perfectly.Here is my main table only using fields pertinent to this post:

Reports :: Date Range Filter For Report
May 27, 2015The data the query pulls is employee name, course ID, course name and course completed date. I have added criteria in the query that asks for the Course ID to filter on a given course and a dynamic field in the query AnnualReqDate: DateAdd("d",+365,[TrainingCourseCompleted]). What this returns is a list of employees that have completed course X the date they completed and the date (12 months) when the course is due. This works great, have created a report that reflects this very well.
The issue comes in when I try to add the ability to filter by date range on the AnnualReqDate dynamic field. the AnnualReqDate dynamic field does not exist until the query is run the Between [Start Date] And [End Date] criteria add to the AnnualReqDate dynamic field wont work.The query fires off but returns zero records.

Users enter in a form the employee name/date/hours worked/role/overtime (yes or no)/rate... on a daily basis. At the end of every week, they must create a report depending on the dates given in a query.
I have only one table (tbl_EmployeeHours) and a query to calculate the number of hours between two dates.
At the moment a report gives me all the information above (employee name/date hours worked etc..) but what I am trying to is a bit different.
I need Access to create a report (based on a date range given by the user) that would give me: per unique name, the number of normal hours worked in total, next column, the number of hours worked as overtime (rate 1.5), then, the number of hours worked as overtime (rate 2).
This means there are 3 different totals. For example, in the date range given, someone might appear twice but in the report he will appear only once with 3 different totals...
My guess:
I would say I need to create a different query for the 3 different totals (normal hours, overtime 1.5 and overtime 2). For each query you would need to ask the user to input the date range (which would not be so user-friendly I agree...). Then, I am not sure how access would create that list of names and combine the 3 different results from the queries...?

Jul 10, 2014I have an access table stored with information of different people. Each person has his own personID. To print that information i need 1 page per person. So I made a report grouped based on the PersonID and inserted a pagebreak after that section. It worked perfectly untill I needed to customize the layout of each page based on other information of the table.
For example; I want the textboxs for person1 on the form to be put closer to each other than for person 2. I use VBA to control the layout of the report which worked perfectly, but i dont know how to control the layout with VBA for each specific page.

Feb 26, 2014I have a query that reports the number of students that are currently enrolled in a given number of schools within an area for that given day that the query is ran. This number can fluctuate greatly day to day, so is there a way to create a table which can hold this information so that I can go back in history and look up what our numbers were on whatever given day (date). (The example below is just a representation of what I actually have.) The School number would be unique, as would the date (I assume), I would like to see all of our school on whatever given date to see what our numbers are or were.

Applying A Date Range From A Form To A Query...
Jul 13, 2005I have a simple form where a user selects a query from a drop down list. I need to have the query apply a date range that has also been selected in the form.
Would I call to the date form fields from the query as a variable somehow?? If so, could someone show me the syntax? I am extremely new to access.

Jul 1, 2014I'm using a form to select a date range. Using the following, and entering start date of 6/1/14 and end date of 7/1/14 I would expect to pull the records with a date of 7/1/14; however it doesn't. I have to enter and end date of 7/2/14 to pull 7/1/14 records.

I have it set up so that every window does not need to be filled in for the filter to work. Now I am trying to figure out how to put the option of a date range on my form as well. Forms :: Date Range Form / Query
Dec 2, 2013I have a form [ReportForm] with two unbound text boxes to select a date range.
[BeginOrderDate] & [EndOrderDate]
These two boxes look up a query with the following expression:
between Forms![ReportForm]![BeginOrderDate] and Forms![ReportForm]![EndOrderDate]
However in my query I have several other columns with dates [InterimOrderDate] & [PostOrderDate].
How to modify the expression above to look up these dates as well so that when typing in a date range in the form the query will return records where the date range filters records for
[BeginOrderDate], [EndOrderDate], [InterimOrderDate] & [PostOrderDate].
Problem With Querying Date Range In Query Form
Jan 2, 2006I am working on a query form, in which user can enter three parameters: date range (datefrom field, and dateto field), 1st selection of category (a drop-down menu, multi-selection enhanced), 2nd selection of category (a drop-down menu, multi-selection enhanced. By clicking command button, user can choose whether the result show in query table, or in a report. It didn't work... the error has something to do with the date criteria. If I remove the date criteria, i.e. just allowing selection of two categories, it works perfectly fine.
I've checked out many postings in this forum, but it doesn't take me far... below is the code, please please help....
Note: the cmdOK is the name of the command button for presenting results from query table.

Filter Query Results By Date Range In Form
Jan 3, 2006I have a query form that allows user to search by two criteria (in which, user can select "And" or "Or" clause for the two criteria). I also allow user to filter the results by date range. On the form, I have two command button, one will prompt the results in a query table, and the other will prompt a report.
Problem 1
I manage to prompt report with a date range (i.e. two unbound text boxes for start date and end date). But, I dont' manage to disable the filter if the date range is null. Below is the code for this report command button. Should I use a toggle button to make a select case?

Make A Form Which Search Between Beginning And End Date Range

I want to make a form which searches between a beginning and end date range, Sales Rep Name & Sales Region that can be pulled from these 3 queried selections all from the same form.
