Deleting Multiple Records From Access In Datasheet View?
May 15, 2013When I highlight multiple records and choose delete, it only deletes 1 record.
Is it possible to delete more than one record at a time?

Aug 15, 2014I am using the following code to check for duplicate tickets when importing multiple records into a datasheet view form by using the paste append function.

The form is used to insert multiple records into the database at a single time.
That codes works to check for duplicates. And if there are none there are no popup messages.
If there are duplicates though it gives a popup for every single Ticket_Number that is a duplicate.
I am wondering if there is a way for it to give only a single popup once it completes checking all the records to be imported for duplicates.

1 - Does it load limited amount of records on start-up and then load the remainder upon user interaction (scrolling for example)?

Filter Table By Multiple Values In Datasheet View?
Nov 1, 2011Back in A2003, I could filter a table by the In() function with the table open in datasheet view. A2007 doesn't seem to want me to be able to do that. How do I filter a table by multiple values while in datasheet view to be able to delete some records.
Background: I get a datasheet in every month that, due to marketing to the same customers in different month, the YTD file I get has duplicate accounts. I have to delete one of the records, but the criteria for deletion aren't something I can query for. This is why I need it open in datasheet view.
My alternative is to make a table out of the duplicate entries, delete those from the original table, then append the cleaned accounts.

Apr 15, 2015I have a form in datasheet view that has a user directory with a list of each person. On each row you can click to open another form that contains the users details using the below VBA:
DoCmd.OpenForm "User Details", , , "[ID] = " & Me.ID
But once you open to that specific record, no other records are available to navigate to.
I want to be able to stay on that detail form that was opened and go to another record.
How do I continue to pull up that specific user in my detail form, but also load the others so I can navigate to them from the detail form without having to go back out to the datasheet form?

Since there are quite a few cities, I need to select one to display all the records in that city. My questions
Since it is a datasheet view I cannot use Combo Box. What to do then ?
If I use subform with a combo box, and bind the query in the subform with the selected combo text, it does not work.
here is the subform query

May 16, 2015I have a question on number of records displaying in datasheet view on a form. Is there a way to limit the number of records showing on open.I have a command button on a Navigation form that opens a frmEnterPartsOrder using a Macro.
I have set the Macro to OpenForm, View Datasheet then GoToRecord, Record New..Works perfectly, but it does open the form and fill the screen with records, putting focus on the "new" record at the bottom of the form. Is there a way to set it to open this form, but only display say last 10 records and then focus on "new" record.
Totals Row Not Working In Access 2013 Datasheet View
Jul 5, 2013I have been unable to get the Totals row in Access 2013 to calculate any values in Datasheet view. I can bring up the Totals Row to select a function
But when I click Sum (or Count or Minimum, etc), nothing happens:
It is a 100% local table, not SQL, not linked. The problem has been noted on two separate machines using Windows 7 x64 and Microsoft Access 2013.

Tables :: Access 2007 / Data Not Visible In Table Datasheet View?
Dec 10, 2012I have recently been modifying an existing Access 2007 database, everything seems to be working correctly, except that the main table holding most of the data is acting strangely.
If opened in database view, it is completely blank - no column headers, no data. Record count is correct and I can step through/select records, but there's just nothing visible at all.
The data clearly still exists as it can still be viewed in forms / queries / reports.
Only thing I can think of is that I have deleted a bunch of outdated queries & reports and it's possible that one or more of them may be cross-referenced with the table in another query, but still can't see why that should be causing this problem.

I have seen that in some sample db's rightclicking the mouse showed the menu with an option to check or uncheck the dataview option, unchecked the formview was applied, but when i 'just' import the subform, i cannot find somewhere the possibility to change from dataview to formview.
Maybe someone can help me with this, probably very simple(?), question?

When in excel someone doubleclicks a field in a pivot table, it automatically creates a table containing all the lines that field were made up from. I want to achieve the same behaviour in Access.I started to think towards a VBA coda, that could be initiated from the form's double click event. It should go to datasheet view with the prpoer filter criterias.

I even went to the form properties and the default was datasheet and i made it not to allow other views. This still didnt solve it. Getting Duplicate Records In Split Form Datasheet When Using Combo Box With Multiple Selections
Jan 30, 2015How to correct the issue below. I created a split form and I have 2 combo boxes that allow multiple selections. The one combo box for LOB (line of business) works perfect and does not create duplicate records in the datasheet view of the split form. The 2nd combo box with multiple selections creates duplicate records in the datasheet depending on how many selections are made.
I have checked this in the underlying table and there are no duplicate records, it is only in the split form datasheet. I have checked settings and configuration between the 2 combo boxes that are reacting differently and they appear to be identical...

Updating Main Form When Deleting Record From Subform Datasheet
Dec 21, 2006Hi, I have a problem I don't know how to solve it. I have a subform in datasheet view, linked to the main form. There is a running total on the main form based on a dsum on a field of the subform.
When I delete a row on the subform datasheet, the main form calculation is not automatically updated. I had to create a "update" button to do the refresh.
Is there a "on record delete" event available for a datasheet sub form?

The database has been included as a reference:
Forms- Double click Accounts Form By Discipline -data sheet view
Under Current balance,Spent, and Encumbered Columns you get error message instead of the actuall totals.

Aug 20, 2004Is it possible to switch the view of a subform to datasheet when a command button on the mainform is selected?
I know it is something involving acFormDS...but I cant figure out the rest of the code! I appreciate your help in advance!
(P.S. I know you can right click the form and select datasheet. Unfortunately there are not many people here that are familiar with MS Access and I dont trust that they will know this)

Jun 18, 2007I am reviewing a program that in datasheet view has '+' signs in the left-hand column -- it displays rows of companies. When I select a '+' another 'sub-datasheet view' of employees of that company appears, partially covering the original datasheet view of companies.
Is this the way sub-forms look in datasheet view or is something else involved?

Jan 5, 2006I have a subform that is in databsheet view. When the user logs in to the db it sets the global variable with the group level they have.
I would like a column to be hidden for a certain group of users and have tried the following.
On the subform opening event i have
if vlevel = "engineer" then
me.Hours.columnhidden = True
Else
me.Hours.columnhidden = False
End If
And i have done the same on the Main Form open event identifying the subform by Form!Subform![Hours].columnhidden = True
But neither worked.
Can any suggest something.
