View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using access 2007. I click on a table for example. I then click blank report to make a report.
I then insert a text box and then go to control source to select a field from that table. The field doesn't show up when i click view report?
How do I hide the report footer based on the report's data ?
I'm trying to hide if number of users = 1
The report's data is a query built inside the report's RecordSource, not a self standing query.
Is there a way to hide a label on a report if the sub report count is 0?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a report that shows the daily activities. it shows how long it takes to do each task. however some tasks are 8 hours andsome are 10 hours. when all these times are added together it will give the time on a clock. not a total of hours spent.
i.e.
treatment1 : 8 hours
treatment2: 10 hours
this will give 06:00 in short time. in medium time it will give 18:00.
however if I add another 12 hours to that it will give 06:00.
I want it to show either 1 day and 4 hours /or 30 hours.
I am trying to generate a report, or even a word merge doc, that will print only the fields containing values above "0". I have to print a one page benefits report for each employee, yet not everyone has values in each available field. On each report, I only want to show the fields that actually pertain to the employee. Is this possible?
I have tried doing this as a Word merge, but the field names do not show up, only the values...I have been struggling with this for over a day...please help!
I am posting a report to the web, in a pdf format. the issue is I have data that is hidden under conditional formating in which if it meet the criteria the font is white and background white. This is great since it shows up blank on pdf. However if a slick person takes the pdf highlights the page and transfers it to a word document, he can highlight that area change the font to black and see the data. Is there a way to hide the data prior to creating a pdf.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a report based on a query. Sometimes some of the fields on the report are blank because the information is not available. Is there a way to not show the blank fields on the report and to move the next field up into the space?
I have tried using Is Not Null on the query criteria but if any one field is null it doesn't show any of the others on the report.
I have currently got it so that the height is set to 0 and can shrink = yes and this seems to work but the field is still there (although hidden) - I would rather it was removed completely if it is blank as I am hoping eventually to make the output for each field show on a PowerPoint presentation and I don't want blank slides which I think this solution might do??
Currently using Access 2007-2010. I have a text file that I am trying to import into Access. I am having issues with the time fields. I need to be able to sum them in a query or report. When I import it in, Access is put the 12:00:00 am as default and adding numbers to achieve the 11 character field. I need to be able to sum these fields later in the database. The file looks like this:
ACD Calls Avg ACD Time Avg ACW Time ACD Time
Totals 103 3:49 1:07 6:33:45
2 1:25 :00 :02:49
8 2:02 :00 :16:15
2 3:17 3:06 :06:34
17 4:49 6:06 1:21:53
My boss wanted me to develop a way for a department to do a monthly report from Access. In the beginning, I set up a login for the user, then the user would input a start date and an end date to retreive the report. However, I just put part of the report up and will need to put what ever information they needed in the report. So, I did all the queries in Access and it produces correct result. Now I have to some how put it in ASP file including all those queries but dont know exactly how I would do it since I would not have a name for each query that I did in Access. Plus, in Access I used a fix date range to check the query and it works. So, I replaced 8/1/2005 with 'txtStartDate' and replaced 8/31/2005 with 'txtEndDate' and it works for one of the query. Now I when I looked at the rest of the queries I made in Access I would have to make some adjustment including the one that calculate the percentage from 2 queries. Below are several queries I made in Access but will need to somehow incroporate in ASP file.
(I replaced 8/1/2005 with 'txtStartDate' and 8/31/2005 with 'txtEndDate' in ASP file and it works. Need to do that with the rest of the queries)
Query1 (count number of record in group A)
Code:SELECT tblNatureOfCall.NatureDesc, SUM(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)) AS CountofLogsFROM tblNatureOfCall LEFT JOIN tblCallLog ON tblNatureOfCall.ID=tblCallLog.NatureOfCallIDGROUP BY tblNatureOfCall.NatureDesc;
Query1Total (Sum of count number of record of Query1 group)
Code:SELECT Sum(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)) AS CountOfDispositionOfPatientID, tblDispositionOfPatient.DispositionFROM tblDispositionOfPatient INNER JOIN tblCallLog ON tblDispositionOfPatient.ID=tblCallLog.DispositionO fPatientIDWHERE tblDispositionOfPatient.Disposition="TRANS"GROUP BY tblDispositionOfPatient.Disposition;
Query1Percent (This find the % from Query1 and Query1Total. Need a code to format in % form as 34.00 not .3400)
Code:SELECT (SUM(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)))/Total AS Expr1FROM tblNatureOfCall LEFT JOIN tblCallLog ON tblNatureOfCall.ID=tblCallLog.NatureOfCallIDGROUP BY tblNatureOfCall.NatureDesc;
Query1TotalPercent (This find the percent of a group out of the total of 2 groups)
Code:SELECT [Query1Total]![CountOfDispositionOfPatientID]/[TotalQuery]![Total] AS Expr1FROM TotalQuery, Query1Total;
Query2 (count number of record in Group B)
Code:SELECT Sum(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)) AS CountOfDispositionOfPatientID, tblDispositionOfPatient.DispositionFROM tblDispositionOfPatient LEFT JOIN tblCallLog ON tblDispositionOfPatient.ID=tblCallLog.DispositionO fPatientIDWHERE tblDispositionOfPatient.Disposition<>"TRANS"GROUP BY tblDispositionOfPatient.Disposition;
Query2Total (Sum of count number of record in Group B)
Code:SELECT Sum(Query2.CountOfDispositionOfPatientID) AS PatientIDTotalFROM Query2;
Query3 (count number of record of group C)
Code:SELECT Sum(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)) AS CountOfPatientDestinationID, tblHospital.HospitalNameFROM tblHospital LEFT JOIN tblCallLog ON (tblHospital.ID = tblCallLog.PatientDestinationID) AND (tblHospital.ID = tblCallLog.NotifyHospitalID)WHERE tblHospital.HospitalName <> "HCO"GROUP BY tblHospital.HospitalName;
TotalQuery (sum of Query1 count number of record and Query2 count number of records)
Code:SELECT Sum(IIf([dateofcall]>=#8/1/2005# And [dateofcall]<=#8/31/2005#,1,0)) AS TotalFROM tblNatureOfCall LEFT JOIN tblCallLog ON tblNatureOfCall.ID=tblCallLog.NatureOfCallID;
These are the queries done in Access but will need to incroporate in ASP. Query1 is already in ASP, just need to add the rest of the queries. Dont know how I would do it.
I have an Access program that prints various reports with a button.I would like to view the report in full screen prior to printing, how do you do this?

I am building a replacement Access 2013 database for our ageing Access 2003 database. I have an invoice form with a subform with a combo box that allows me to select which jobs to invoice based on the customer selected in the invoice form, which is working fine. I have designed my invoice and have the criteria [Forms]![Invoice]![ID] in the report query so that it just selects the record that is open in the invoice form. I have an ID (which is the invoice number) group on the report and it is then sorted by date and then job number. I thought it was all working fine when I tested it, it is the same method as I used in the 2003 database. However I have a problem, when I make up and print the customers first invoice it works fine, but when I go to make up a second invoice for the same customer the invoice includes all the jobs from the first invoice as well, and if I then go to reprint the first invoice all the jobs from the second invoice as there as well.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an odd thing happening with my reports. There is a main report that gives class information (from query). There are two subreports (from queries also ) with scores (one for each type of test). There are some unbound controls on the main form that display a count of how many scores are recorded which are totals from the subreports. The controls all report the correct numbers however, when I scroll down to view each record, some of them change to #error, or #name, or similar for a moment. Sometimes they will stay in error form when I stop scrolling but change to correct if I scroll up just a bit. Is this because the controls won't calculate unless that report record has focus?

I have report in which I have to do some custom calculation in the detail section (using VBA) of the report. How do I access the fields provided by the report, which should come from the query or table fields of the query or table set in the recordsource property of the report in design view. I am able to access some of the fields but not others. Could someone explain to me how this is done.
thank you
I have create a report which contains a check box. What I want to do is to hide the box if it null. I have attached an example database to show what I'm trying to do. I have tried using:
Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
If IsNull(Me.[Written Work Seen1]) Then Me.[Written Work Seen1].Visible = False
If IsNull(Me.[Written Work Seen2]) Then Me.[Written Work Seen2].Visible = True
End Sub
in the OnFormat event of the Details section of the report.

I have a routine that outputs an MS Access report as a pdf file which works OK. It does not open the file which is what I want.
DoCmd.OutputTo acReport, "rptTransactionInvoiceExcVAT", acFormatPDF, "C:UsersJEFF1Documents
ptTransactionInvoiceExc VAT.pdf", False
What I would like to do is output the pdf file with a Customer name and number from the field Me.txtAmazonBuyer. I have tried:
DoCmd.OutputTo acReport, "rptTransactionInvoiceExcVAT", acFormatPDF, "C:UsersJEFF1Documents" + ([Me.txtAmazonBuyer]) + ".pdf", False
But no joy.
I have a form that has a drop down box with all of my project numbers in it. when I choose a project number, I can then choose from several report buttons on that same page that opens a report just showing that projects info (easy enough). I then have different report buttons that open those same reports, but showing every project (no filter).
The reports have a cover page that has the field, 'project number' in the front, so when a particular project is chosen from the drop down, that project number will show on the cover page (still pretty easy).
My question is, when I open the full report(no filter), is there a way to tell the report not to show the 'project number' field? since the full reports show every project, the 'project number' field will show the first project number, which is not what I want to do.
I want to hide on my report unchecked checkbox ?
How can i do that ? If i shall write a code, in which event ?? Or can i use in Query Build option ?
I searched on internet and found some answers but they are not useful
(i found this code and updated for my report but still did not work)
Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer) (<- what is that ??)
If Me.Skyliner = 0 Then
Me.SkylinerCover.Visible = True
Else
Me.SkylinerCover.Visible = False
End If

I have a report in which I'm trying to hide some elements from view in case a specific value is Null. Access seems to do this automatically if the report is in print-preview-mode, but not in normal view-report-mode.
I've tried something like this, but it's not really working:
Code:
private sub report_load()
if nz(txtfield, 0) = 0 then
txtfield.visible = false
end if
end sub
Is there some way to achieve this, maybe?
