Hi everyody,
Does anybody knows if there is an add-in to Access to download from AS400?
Thanks.
I am an A2K novice and I need some help with connecting to an AS/400.
I have my ODBC data source created and it works well. I'm comfortable with the SQL syntax I'll need in A2K to fetch my AS/400 data. I have no idea what is necessary in the way of VB code in A2K to do the connection. Can somebody point me in the right direction where I can find some code samples? I searched this board prior to submitting this thread but came up empty. Time is ticking on this project.
All help is greatly appreciated.
Hi All
I need some help with configuring an odbc connection.
The issue is that when I go to another site I cant access the AS400 tables
I think this is due to the drivers being different on each site.
I have tried using "NS/ODBC" on system DSN this worked once and then crashed.
On the site that works all the time we use "Netmanage ODBC R/W Optimized 32 bit"
does anyone know if it is possible to connect using "NS/ODBC" or do I need to get "Netmanage ODBC R/W Optimized 32 bit" installed in the other site?
If it is possible to use "NS/ODBC" does anyone know what the RDB name should be ?
Any Ideas?
I have a table with a load of hyperlinks to documents on the company Intranet i.e
http://aanet/IMPROVE/02-02/IMPROVE-02-02-03.doc
is there a way using VBa to download the file to a local drive?
I have tried the following to no avail, and searched on MSDN, but can't seem to find any help.
Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
fs.CopyFile <Hyperlink>, "c: empfolder est.doc"

I 'm downloading the excel data from the site and connecting it to access.
In excel the particular column (Time Taken) is in the format of "00:12:26".
After connecting it to access and appending it to the table, the format changed to "12:12:26", the first two digits changed to "12" and the remaining are as it is how it looks like in the excel. I need to change it to format what it looks like in the excel.
