Email Each Name From A Query Result (separately)

Feb 12, 2007

I have searched and searched... but I just cannot find this. I know it has to be in here somewhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a query called "MyLateProjects" that shows results based on a specific number of days since the "project" was entered in to the database. I need to be able to send a "You are late X days" email to each of the project submitters from the values in the records of the query result. I have the fields, for example, of "emailaddress" and "Projectnumber" that I need to include in the To: line and Subject line, respectively. So, if I get five results, I need it to send five separate emails.

Like I said, I have searched and searched, and I cannot find a way of getting this done. I can send the first one from a button if I show the results in a form... but I don't know to automate the send operation as part of the query, nor how to get a separate email sent for each record (would this be a loop of some sort??).

THANKS!! ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

Tom

Query Result As Email Subject

Jan 8, 2007

Curently run a Send.Object function on a form to retrieve a unique record via a query. I'd like to be able to send a particular field returned by the query to use as the subject title in the email that is auto-created.
The query will only ever be returning a single record but that single record will change each time it is run.

Any ideas people?

Thanks in advance.

General :: Concatenate Email Addresses As A Query Result

Jul 2, 2014

I have a parameter set on the query at run which filters by Region i.e. the box pops up and they enter a criteria..I would like to have a field entered next to Email that would take all the Email Addresses in my query result and concatenate them so essentially I have an email list I can pop in Outlook.

Or alternatively, a solution to allow access to these email lists via a button on a form. It has to be something very simple for an end user to access. For instance right now, to get there list they hit a button to run the query then enter the parameter then if desired, hit another button to export to excel. Today, they use Excel for everything and are used to having the concatenated email addresses in one cell in excel. For this reason, I am trying to have the email addresses concatenated in the query results to mimic what they are used to today. But I am not sold on it if there is a better way that is easy for them.

Modules & VBA :: Create A Form Button That Will Automatically Email Each Row Of A Query Result

Jul 22, 2015

I am trying to create a form button that will automatically email each row of a query result to myself. At first the VBA code worked fine with a standard query. However when I use it with a query that contains a reference to a combobox form such as "<=[Forms]![Reminder]![Monthsleft].[Value] And >=0" I get the 3061 run-time error and "Too few parameters. Expected 1." I have included the VBA code below.

Private Sub Command9_Click()
Dim MyDb As DAO.Database
Dim rsEmail As DAO.Recordset
Dim sToName As String
Dim sSubject As String
Dim sMessageBody As String

[code]....

If you intend to renew the lease, terms and conditions will need to be submitted for ECC for approval (regardless of changes or not in lease rates). If the terms have yet to be confirmed, it is important to begin the negotiation process as soon as possible with a target to provide the ECC submission at least two months prior to the commencement date of the renewed lease. To ensure sufficient time for ECC approval before the contract expiry date, please prepare the ECC paper and obtain necessary endorsements. Submission details can be found here. Queries :: Conditional Query To Post Result In Field And Filter Result Records?

Mar 5, 2014

I am working with Access 2010, on vista. What I have is a query made up of two tables, one product the other inventory. (see below) query.jpg

In the product table i have a field called "minimum reorder level". In the inventory table i have two fields one called "number in stock" and "number on order". What i want to happen is "number on order" to be filtered by the result, if the "number in stock", is less than "minimum reorder level", if it is, have the result placed in the "number on order" field. EG. if the "number in stock" = 2 and the "minimum reorder level" = 5 then 3 would be placed in the field "number on order" and only the second record from the query would be visible (see below) Query result.jpg The result of this would mean that the field "number on order" would be populated with the result and the and query would also use this to filter the record.

Randomize 2 Columns Separately.

Nov 25, 2006

I have read a lot about the rnd function to succesfully randomize the order of records in a db.
I want to randomize 2 columns separately . These are Q's and A's so if the db is 2 fields (the second -small- letter is supposed to be under Field 2!)
Field1 Field2
A a
B b
C c
D d

etc...
I want it to look like
Field1 Field2
B c
A d
D b
C a

I have managed to construct two separate queries which obviously give 2 random lists for each field but how to put them both together to achieve the above?
I have tried applying a rank order to each list and then linking them on that but the rank number keeps changing hence no link there. All I want is to link them and keep each column in the same order as it has been randomized.
Thanks

Queries :: Lookup Multiple Values And Use Both Separately

Jun 24, 2014

I have two tables one with all the personnel (tblPersonnel) I'm tracking, another with different report names (tblReports).

For each report, there are different years that it's valid for.

On the reports table, I have three columns, ReportID, Report_Title, and Years_Valid

I'm using a lookup on the personnel table that stores the report name as the ReportID.

What I want to do is in a query use the Years_Valid column to automatically generate review dates bases on dates already in the database.

Hello, I have a combo box on a form which lists some names generated from a table.

I would like the selected name to be inputted into the 'critera' of another query called 'qryPBCustLevel' and for that query to be run.

I have tried to code this, but it is crashing at the point it trys to add the name into the query.

Can anyone help? Code listed below.

Sub cmbPB_AfterUpdate()

'Set the Dimensions of the Module
Dim strSQL As String, strOrder As String
Dim dbNm As Database
Dim qryDef As QueryDef
Set dbNm = CurrentDb()

'Constant Select statement for the Query definition

strSQL = "SELECT DISTINCT tblTempPB.PB_NAME" & _
"FROM tblTempPB"

strOrder = "tblTempPB.PB_NAME;"

' Find the record that matches the control.
Me.RecordsetClone.FindFirst "[PB_NAME] = '" & Me![cmbPB] & "'"
Me.Bookmark = Me.RecordsetClone.Bookmark

'Pass the QueryDef to the query
Set qryDef = dbNm.QueryDefs("qryPBCustLevel")
qryDef.SQL = strSQL & " " & strOrder

'Open the Query
DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryPBCustLevel", acViewNormal

End Sub

Thanks, Steve. :confused:

ADO Query Result Set

Sep 5, 2011

I am trying to create a VB script to automate a mailing based on several query result sets from access. I have gotten to the stage that the output is correct but have a problem with the 5th and 6th record set query as they only return one record (When in fact there should be at least two for each).

I don't really understand why this is happeneing as the SQL is exactly the same as in the 2nd record set - which works perfectly. Also I've tested the SQL directly in an access query & there are no errors in the formatting that I can see... correct number of records returned.

Code:
Public emailaddress, ccaddress, Subject, body1 As String
Public baserow, toprow, countnumberofrows, emails As Integer
Public tempdir, projectlistdir, WBPATH As String
Option Compare Database
Option Explicit

[code]....

Queries :: Use Result Of One Query To Generate Another Query

Apr 15, 2013

I have 2 tables, Event and Person Particulars.

In an event, groups of 2-5 persons may be tagged to this event by a randomly generated number (using autonumber).

Let's say Tom (social security number: 12345X) is tagged to events 2, 5 & 6. There are of course other persons together with Tom in the above 3 events.

If I would like to find out who are the persons who are in events which Tom had participated in, how do I find them using a query?

Currently, I'm thinking of using a searchform where it would return his "associates" if I just query using his social security number, i.e. 12345X.

Single Result Query

Hi

I am new to VBA with access. Im wanting to get the result of a query called "qLastRotaDate" into a variable called "datLastRota". The query returns a single date, it is not possible to have more than one result for this query. I have tried different variations of : datLastRota = qLastRotaDate but cannot get any to work. I'm assuming this is very simple yet I cannot figure it out as am very new to VBA.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been dealt with in previous posts but I could not find any info by searching the post.

Same Query Different Result Win2k / Xp

Apr 13, 2008

Hi,

I have the following query in a access 2000 db

SELECT [5k1].[Race Number], [5k1].[Name], [5k1].[Club], Date()-[Date of birth] AS Age, [5k1].[Handicap Time], [5k1].[Male / Female], [5k1].[Date of birth], [5k1].[handmin], [5k1].[handsecs], [tblRaceEntries].[intEntryRace1], [tblRaceEntries].[intEntryRace2], [tblRaceEntries].[intEntryRace3], [tblRaceEntries].[intEntryRace4], [tblRaceEntries].[intEntryRace5]
FROM 5k1 INNER JOIN tblRaceEntries ON [5k1].[Race Number]=[tblRaceEntries].[RaceNumber];

it is used as a means of input from a form.
When it is used in windows xp then all is good.
When it is used in windows 2k it doesn't work as I intended. The problem being that [5k1].[Race Number] field is reset with a default '0' value of [tblRaceEntries].[RaceNumber]

Whats the difference between the 2k/xp system that causes this.. what the solution?

many thanks
