I want to be able to create a email list from a query. I.E Say you need all the company's that meet certain criteria and then you have a list of company's complete with all the emails under 'email'. Is there a quick and easy way to export all these emails into the TO: field of outlook?
I have a Access training database which tracks employees trainings as well as their annual recertification dates on particular trainings. Is there a way to have an email sent to the employees automatically when their recertification date is 1 month away?
I'm sending an email from a form to Outlook express. But before it opens Outlook I get a question that states "a program is trying to access email address you have stored in Outlook" I then have to click ok and then another window opens and askes the same question. How can I eliminate these warning messages?? Thank You
Hi I have written a code that composes a new mail from MS Access. It does what i need. It also gives a question before displaying the mail body : "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses yo have stored in outlook. Do yo want to allow this ?"
If I give yes, it proceeds with composition. If I give No, it gives an error "Application-defined or object defined error". Is there any way I can avoid this error.
I send a report in an email in rich text format and it works. But when you open the report there is no image, lines or rectangles. The format is ok but image on top of the report and lines are missing which I used for column captions. If anyone know how to handle this problem, I will really appreciate.
I have code to open a new email and populate the BCC field. My problem is the company usually uses a template for all emails they send, from access how to I het outlook to use the the usually template?
Can anyone suggest a good program that will handle scheduled emails to people in our Access database? I need to send an email automatically to each of our employees on their birthday. I need the program for much more than that but that is what I am working on at this time.
Is there a way to send an email using outlook, have that email filtered into a specific folder, and then have an access program extract that email. The situation is that I have sales reps in the field that would like updates on projects that are stored in an access program I designed. The program already sends out auto notifications through outlook, but that is only when I update the specific project. All of the sales reps in the field use blackberry's and do not have time to call in to request an update. So I was wondering if it were possible to have a sales rep send a preformated email that has included the primary key ie Account number, and have access recieve that account number to turn around and send out an auto response.
I currently have a database which logs issues that come in to me from the business. The database has been designed to keep all stakeholders informed of there request and for the user to write to the stakeholder with a responce through Access. (The reason for this is so the database keeps track of all responses sent back to the stakeholder.)
However even though i am using a memo box the database will only send about 255 characters and no more. I understand this is the max value for a text box however this should not be the case for a memo box.
Is there anything i can do i am currently using the following code:
I'm updating a database that automatically sends an email to the drafts folder of Outlook. The developer that created the database used VBA code to call html code written in a table. The html code contains the body of the letter. I've figured out most of it but I need to include a date (one month from the current date) in the body of the letter. Unfortunately I've been researching java script and html all weekend and still haven't managed to figure that one out. Can anyone out there help with this? Also is this normal to include html and javascript in Access, I have never seen it before. Are the benefits good? I have serious studying to do if this is the case.
using Ms acess 2007 this code is working fine buuutttt....
This one worked, but sent everyones records DoCmd.SendObject _ acSendReport, _ "Contact Report", _ acFormatHTML, _ "realridergmail.com", _
[code]...
I need it to send just the records belonging to the customer, they shouldnt be able to see anyone elses.how to send the dates that belong only to each customer?
I have a system automated that, when our warranty team receives a warranty part that somebody else has requested information for, will email that person letting them know it has been received.
I want to include a hyperlink in the email that points to the database, opens it with 2 argument containing 2 variables in which one of the forms can auto populate and the information be shown immediately.
So first, I would like to know how to create a hyperlink within the code that sends the email. Second, I would like to know how have the database check for arguments upon opening. I can do the rest.
For instance, John Smith requested part number 123456 on claim number 55555, serial number 7777777. The database is located at "S:SharedWarranty ReturnsWarranty Returns.accdb". Therefore, the hyperlink would aim at the location and carry the arguments 55555 and 7777777.
Current emailing code (obviously variables are passed into the function):
Code:
Function sendemail(msg As String, subj As String, recipients As String, ccrecipients As String, xclaim As Integer, claims() As Variant, serials() As Variant)Dim rsnote As Recordset Set cdomsg = CreateObject("CDO.message") If recipients <> "" Then With cdomsg.Configuration.Fields
I am trying to run a script to look for the latest file in the path: "C:UsersmeDesktopReports and grab the latest file and email it to recipient? Right now my script out put the .txt to a the folder but can figure out how to send that file as attachment?
I’ve recently added form functionality on my website, which runs with the aid of a perl script and sends the results via an email message.
I’m currently able to import, or link, data from a specific mail folder (Outlook 2002) to an MS Access database (Access 2002). However, my problem is the message body, which contains the data I’m interested in, is all placed in the one field.
I would like the data contained in the message body to be imported into separate fields but I have not been able to figure out how this is done.
I can arrange the data within the email message body to conform to a particular format if needed, even HTML, but I can't work out how to import the data into separate fields.
Tried searching this forum but couldn’t find the answers. Perhaps there is a better way of processing online forms, one which I’m not aware of.
My web service does support mySQL and also has ODBC dirvers for Access but this to me seems like an over kill approach particularly since I don't need access to data from the website (active pages)
I'm creating a contacts database in Access. My emails are saved on Novel's GroupWise (web-based, not a client application). My database is on my hard drive and contains the usual: name, address, preferences, etc.
Is there some way to link the actual text of a customer's email to the entry in my database that deals with that customer (for example, field 1= name, field 2= phone number, field 3= actual text of email)? If the web source is a problem, would there be a way to do it if I imported the emails to Outlook or Outlook express?
after spending wweks perfecting a database which centres on the ability to email the contents of what you have just entered i find that our stirling IT dept haven't actually setup any of my intended users with outlook profiles and do not intend to. Therefore whenever they try and send an email they get the dialog box you get when trying to connect to the internet for the first time. Which is obviously a problem.
Is there any way around this or is there any alterntive i can use? my IT dept dont promise to setup any outlook profiles soon and im hoping there may be something else i can do before the project gets binned.

I have tried using .Priority = "High" and .Importance = "High", but I keep getting an error stating this object property is invalid. What can I use to set a priority (Low, Normal, High) on the e-mail using the above code?
I wish to attach to an email a specified "Shortcut" such that recipients will be able to simply click the "attachment and the Access application will open.
I have searched the forum quite extensively but the perspiration has overtaken the inspiration so any assistance would be appreciated.
Below is the complete code that I am using
Private Sub Combo206_Click()
Maint_Sup_Close = Now()' Update a field Dim Attachment As String Dim MailDoc As Object Dim AttachME As Object Dim EmbedObj As Object
Dim s As Object Dim db As Object Dim doc As Object Dim rtItem As Object Dim Server As String, Database As String Dim strError As String Dim PI As String Dim Description As String Dim Work As String
Dim Email As String Dim Docket As String
PI = Me.PI_No_1 Description = Me.Desc Email = Me.Created_Email Docket = Me.Docket_ID Work = Me.Work_Required
Set s = CreateObject("Notes.notesSession") Server = s.GETENVIRONMENTSTRING("MailServer", True) Database = s.GETENVIRONMENTSTRING("MailFile", True) Set db = s.GETDATABASE(Server, Database)
On Error GoTo ErrorLogon 'see if user is logged on Set doc = db.CREATEDOCUMENT On Error GoTo 0
Set doc = Nothing Set db = Nothing Set s = Nothing Set rtItem = Nothing
MsgBox "Message Sent"
ErrorLogon: If Err.Number = 7063 Then MsgBox " You must first logon to Lotus Notes" Set doc = Nothing Set db = Nothing Set s = Nothing Set rtItem = Nothing End If
End Sub
I am a bit out of my depth and would appreciate a guru correcting the error of my ways
I'm not sure which Form topic this post should go under ...
I have an Access Database which contains contact information including email addresses in a number of tables. Each table is a reference group of individuals interested in a particular topic and has three fields (contactID, name and Email). All tables relate back to a master address list.
This allows me to have different (or multiple) people from within the same master address as contact persons for different reference groups. When I am doing labels, or printed reports for labelling I simply combine the address from the master list with the conact from the reference group list.
I would like to be able to replicate this approach for e-mail messages.
Ideally the databse would create distribution lists and export these to outlook global address list where they would be available to all users.
Alternately, I would write a module that automatically generates a new email message with all the Email Address entries from a user selected table in the To: field. The user would then edit the email message and press send.
It seems to me that eitehr way I will need to somehow concatenate all emails addresses in a table into a list separated by semi-colons.
