Find Info For Specific Month

I have many queries for separate types of income that when criteria is entered on the switchboard, a report is created for either a specific month or range of dates. This works fine. Now I need to create one report that shows all 7 types of income in one spot, but once again based on a specific month or range of dates. I have a query that produces the entire income for all dates, but can't get it narrowed down to the specific criteria.

how to read a specific line in a CSV file (using VBA), to see if the phrase "There are no records available." is present.

If it is present, then I'm going to do a debug.print stating that there are no records to load - and then the script will move on to the next file. If the phrase isn't present, then I'm going to upload the file to Access, parse the information, and then upload it to a CRM. (I already have the latter portion of the code up and running....I just need to account for the first part, where I can determine if the file has data or not).

The structure of the file never changes. The first row is composed of eight column headers (Post Date, Card Number, Card Type, Auth Date, Batch Date, Reference Number, Reason, Amount) and (if) the phrase "There are no records available." is present, it will show up on the second row, in the first column (under Post Date).

Specific Table Info To A Form

This may be a bit detailed, so stick with me. Is there a way to have a form which you can pull tabel information into, but look at a specific line? I am trying to create a database that will pull up the first line of a specific tabel's information, then when a command button is pressed, it will pull up a seperate form with the information from line 2 of that SAME tabel. I don't want this to be done by clicking the arrows at the bottom of the form. I actually want this to populate seperately.

Lets say I have a Loc_ID box that is pulling the Loc_ID from a tabel.
The tabel I am trying to pull from has an autonumber format and is sorted in that manor from a-z. Is there a certain type of logic that I should use however? As of now, each time I have a form come up, it starts at the first record, which is not what I want it to do. I want it to come up with the first record, then click a few buttons, then the next time a new form comes up with the same info on it, I want it to show the second record's information.

Any information anyone might have will be MOST helpfull! :D

Get Specific Info From Range Of Data

Hi I could do with some advice on how to start the following and if best to use both excel and access to achieve it.

I want to enter a range of data when I receive a bill such as date, supplier, bill amount, description, quoted price, customer job and retail price. Once I enter this I want to be able to do the following,

1.Pick a customer job and date range and get a report for all the details of bills received in relation to that customer in that time so that I can send the customer a list of items they bought in that time period and what each item cost.
2.I want to be able to compare cost prices from different suppliers and print a list of all items which shows who the preferred supplier is for each item based on the cheapest.
3.The quoted price from suppliers should automatically appear when the description and supplier has been entered.
4.There needs to be some sort of warning if the quoted price doesn’t match the bill price
5.I need to be able to get a report which gives the details for any bill which was entered that was not bought from the preferred supplier.

Some advice on pointing me in the right direction to get started is what I need and would be greatly appreciated

Unmatched Query To Find Changed Info Between Tables

I am importing the updated Employee Roster information from Excel to a table called "Weekly Roster Check" (contains new info). I have a table called "Current Chit Board" that has an Employee Roster that I update every week (contains old info). I want a query to find employees who are promoted and their title has changed. then I want to run an update query to update these results to the Current Chit Board table.

Every method I try, returns either no information or information that is not what I want.

I have spent the day using Access 2010 and attempting to move information from a parameterized query into specific cells in an excel template. It runs smoothly until I attempt to reference the query at which point I run into th error "Too few parameters. Expected 1." Currently my reference code looks like this:

How To Get Specific Number For Current Month

Is there a way to look at only data from a specific month? It's June now so let's say I want to look up only data from June without having to hardcore the number 6 or letters "June" in my query. How would I go about doing this?

Another question would be how can I convert this to a number to multiply the numbers in my data with?

So I want to retrieve only data for the current month, June, and then multiply numbers associated with that data with the number of the month for June (that is, 6). How would I go about doing this?

I'd like to further automate our invoicing system and need a field which has the last day of the month an item was completed.

Currently we have a field in the table called [Date Done]. I'm planning on adding a further field [Tax_Point].

I'd like the field to select the [date done] value and enter the final day of that month, unless, the final date of that month is in the future. in which case it would need the current date.

We create invoices at sporadic times of the month, and in the next month for the previous month; hence the need for a system date check.

I am trying to create a query with a parameter on it, but on a date box, but only searching for a specific month, without regards to the year. So what I want is for me to run the query, a pop up box asks "which month?", I then put in Jan for example, and the results will show all records with the month Jan regardless of the day or year.

How To Find Specific Database Object

I am wondering if there is a quick way to find a database object (table, query, form, report) other than having to scroll through them in the database window.

E.g. I have many many queries and when I need to find one to make changes to it, it often takes me a while to find it when scrolling thru the queries in the database window.

Has anyone ever programmed anything whereby you can type in the object type and name and then it will be highlighted in the database window?

This would be a great time saver.

I have a table with various customer items, a current price and the date the price changed.

EXAMPLE DATA

CustID/ItemCode/DateChanged/Value
AAA 21 01/01/2004 £3.00
AAA 21 01/06/2005 £5.00
AAA 21 01/03/2005 £4.00
AAA 22 01/01/2005 £6.00
AAA 22 01/06/2005 £7.00
BBB 25 01/01/2005 £8.00
BBB 25 03/07/2005 £9.00
BBB 26 01/06/2005 £1.00
BBB 26 01/09/2005 £2.00

Note: Dates are in "dd/mm/yyyy" format. Also, not all data is in order in the table. It’s not how I would have designed it but that’s what I need to work with!

I would like to run a query that groups by custID & itemcode and also the most recent date for any price change. I would then like the query to display the relating price for the record it pulls out. (EG for custID 'AAA' and item 21, it would display the price of £5 as that is the value for the most recent price as of 01/06/2005)
I then want to link the custID & itemcode to another table that has sales in, to check that we are using the most recent price.

Is there a way I can do this via a query or do I need to put some code together?

I am trying to create a mailing list of patients. Let's say I am creating a mailing list for February. I need the mailing list to consist of people who have had surgery in February from the beginning of the database, and people who have had surgery three months ago, so anyone who had surgery in November. I have created a form that has a button which is connected to a query, the form has a unbound textbox where I can enter the month in (2 for February). Then the query uses the datepart function to search for this month in their date of surgery. But this only gives me people for surgeries with february, how would I get people who have had surgery three months ago in the same query.

Find Unique Products To Specific Build ID's

I have a table with 5 fields:

Build ID Process Product Product_De Operation_

What I am trying to accomplish is as follows:

Each Product can be in the table mulitiple times depending on how many Build ID's it has. So if Product 123456 has Build ID's G004, E818, N005, F813, D024, C879 it will show up one time each for each Build ID. What I want to query is unique Products that are for Build ID's D024 & C879 only and not for G004, E818, N005, & F813.

How can I accomplish this with a query. I am sure I am making this harder than it is but I sure need help.

This query returns a running asset balance for 60 months. Each month is 1 column.

1) I need to create a query based on those results that can cycle through each column and determine if it is NEGATIVE. Then if it is negative, I need to perform some math on it to determine how to get it back up to being positive.

2) I need to loop through X columns based on the assets lead time. Each lead time varies and I have a master table that contains it. So if the assets lead time is 3 months, I need it to move over 3 columns and return that value. If it is 6 months then I need it to return the value in the 6th column.

I need to find whether a memo field contains a specific word. I know how to find whether it contains a specific string.

Let's say I am looking for the word "run." I would not want a positive result when searching "I don't like gerunds," but I WOULD want to find the records with "I know how to 'run' a search."

So I am looking for WORDS, not matching strings.

I am perfectly willing to use a user-defined function, to put involved processing into the query, such as
