Iv'e looked through several date functions but cant figure out which one to use or how. I want to produce all records for a period of 1 year, for 1 year ago. i.e if I run the query during any month of the 'current year' (obvously) if its after August it will show me the previous year of August to following July. My Start date is always August 1st of any year through to the following July 31st. It is relatively straight forward (I think)if it's from January to December because year part is the same but this becomes more complicated when you cover two different Year parts. I dont want to have to use a parameter Query of 'start date' and 'end date' I want to be able to run the query based on the system date now(). Any help would be appreciated thanks.
i know this must be a piece of cake but i'm new to Access!
Anyway, am using a delete query and want an expression that i can use in the criteria to allow me to detect (and delete) records that are 5 years old. i used Date() - 1825 but was wondering if there was any other way or function that would allow me to acheive this. any help regarding this would be appreciate! hope someone can help.
SELECT Loans.CustomerID, Loans.LoanID, Loans.LoanAmount, Loans.StartDate, Loans.EndDate, Loans.LoanLender FROM Loans WHERE (((Loans.StartDate)>DateAdd("d",-32,Date() And ((Loans.EndDate)>DateAdd("y",-1,Date())))));
I want my query to do a monthy lookup of bussiness where a loan is either opened or closed in the last 32 days. This works except its pulling up records from all previous years. I tried to filter the year as shown above, of course its not working. So what do i have to do? Thanks for any help in advanced.
The solution might be in front of my nose but I cannot see it... I have a query with all my records I need to extract only records of the current year, so that now will show all 2006, as we enter into the following year it will show all the 2007. What is the criteria I should put into the "Date" field I have? Thanks
I trying to create a query that just returns all of the records in my database for the past year. I've tried to somehow do it using the date() function but haven't had much luck yet. Any help is most appreciated.
I would like to sort records based on fiscal year for a chart. The fiscal year would be 7/01/2003 to 06/30/2004. I would like to sort this based on oldest date to newest date. This query could span several fiscal years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to create a query to show me records for a given year. The issue I'm having is that each record has (4) dates fields and each record can contain null values.Is it possible to do this in a query with data like the example below?
Field 1 ID (1), Field 2 Date (12/22/2012), Field 3 Date (2/06/2013), Field 3 Date (Null), Field 4 Date (Null)
In this example I would want 2013 data but would need to be able to search any year. I could also have dates in all (4) fields
How do you write a MS Access query criteria that looks for records like the current year only for a date field ? I tired Like *Year(Now()), it did not work.
THEN . . . . I need to also isolate certain periods, for example July- March for YTD (year-to-date) analysis and compare YTD of 2006 with that of 2005.
I'm trying to add a couple of fields to the Contact database in Access 2010.
In the Contacts table, I created a field called "Sobriety Date" that has dates formatted like 12/27/1995
I am trying to add a calculated field called "Years Sober" which should be the current year minus the year in the 'Sobriety Date' field (1995 in the example above).
I am trying to have a query sort out my invoices by year but also to have the possibility to show all invoices.
I have one table "INVOICE" where I have a column "YEAR" calculated with DatePart function from the invoice date.
On my form "INVOICE LISTING", I want to have a combox "Combo957" selecting the year. I have forced the "ALL" selection to the combox using a UnionQuery.
My problem, I cannot get the query to work. I have tried many ways, the closest I can get is :
I trying to figure out how to make this query work. I have a simple database that is being used to show employee employment information - name, hire date, salary, bonuses, etc. Everything is just about done but they want me to show what percentage of the prior year the employee was there. In other words if an employee was hired 4/20/2004 they want me to show the percentage of 2004 they were employed with the company. I've tried just about everything I can think of but nothing seems to give me the right answer. I am also showing the percentage for the current year (2005) and that works ok. Just can't figure out how the calculate it for a prior year.
This is being done in a query and we're using Access 2000.
I have fields [DayOfYear] and [Year] can I somehow produce the dd/mm/yyyy from this. I know how to do it in Excel but the Asscess function Date() is a little different.
I.e. if [DayOfYear] =152, [Year] = 2014 then [Date] = 2/6/2014
I'm going to try using the year, day of year, hour & minute (24 hour clock) as a report number. It's set up in a field on a table. Right now I have....
Default Value =Format(Now(),"yyyhhnn") 'which works but not exactly how I would like
yy = Last two digits of the year y = Number of the day of the year (1 to 366) 'can this show three digits all the time? hh = Hour in two digits (00 to 23) nn = Minute in two digits (00 to 59)
For instance, right now for Jan. 10th, 2012, 1306 hours the result would be 12101304 which, for all intents and purposes works, but I would prefer the "day of the year" to always be represented by three digits and not just when it hits day 100 of the year.
Hi I'm have created a video database with a genre field. Is there a way that when i click a button a list is displayed of all the records which are the same genre? Thanks Aden
How would one go about comparing 2 tables and finding those records that are not common to both tables? For instance, I have a table that I suspect some records have been accidently deleted by the user. I would like to compare that table to an older version of the table, and list only those records that exist only in the older version of the table. Thanks.
Hi, I have a table contains 5 fields are shown as below, how I can write a query to find out the duplicate of the records? I have created a couple of queries by using Find Duplicates Query Wizard to do it. But the results are not accurate enough.
Field 1: ID Field 2: Trading Name Field 3: Location No Field 4: Location Street Field 5: Location Suburb
IDTrading Name Location NoLocation StreetLocation Suburb 41350Arabica Café Grey St 263Arabica Cafe` 1GREY STREET 41294Arashi Japanese Resturant41Courtenay PL 150Arashi Kushi Yaki Bar41COURTENARY PLACE
From the data sample, I could like to find out the duplicated records. One of the queries is shown as below. But they cannot pick up these records. Any better way to find the duplicated records? Please help.
SELECT DISTINCTROW [C&B-will].[trading name], [C&B-will].[location street], [C&B-will].Field1, [C&B-will].[location no] FROM [C&B-will] WHERE ((([C&B-will].[trading name]) In (SELECT [trading name] FROM [C&B-will] As Tmp GROUP BY [trading name],[location street] HAVING Count(*)>1 And [location street] = [C&B-will].[location street]))) ORDER BY [C&B-will].[trading name], [C&B-will].[location street];
I have 2 tables. I want to find all the records between the two that match and then replace the contents of another field with a value such as "*" to signal the matched records.
If I were using dBase I would set a relationship between the two and repl all "fieldname" with "*" for seal = seal.
I have no idea where to start with this in Access. I was thinking it may be a query but I am not sure. It seems that if there is an Unmatched Query there may be a matched query. The replace seems to be more what I am trying to figure out how to do. I have searched on Replace but all I come up with is the basic Find/Replace.
I want a report to tell me a percentage of records. i have a report that records "records that are past date". I want the report to tell me the percentage of total records that are past date. I have a query that shows only past date records and a query that shows all records how do i do this?
I have a query based on payment date which I have extracted the Year part as a seperate Field StartYear, but I want to now add EndYear which just adds 1 year to the StartDate. e.g. EndYear = StartYear +1. Anyone kow please I know i's proably simple but I keep getting syntax errors.
Is there a way, aside from using auto number, to find a records postion. I am using a list and want to be able to double click an entry and have it open a form and go to that record. However I can't use auto number because I allow for the deleting of records, and once deleted the auto number no longer corrilates to the records position.
If anyone knows of a different sytem that renumbers after deleting a record that would be great if you could share it with me. Or if there is a way to open a form and use goto record but instead of using record postion use where statement.
If anyone has any other ideas on this please share. Thanks.
I thought this would be relatively simple task to complete but its proving tricky.
I have two tables with the same data: E1 and E2
E1 has two columns and is as follows
A 1 B 2 C 3 D 4
E2 is similar except for one record '5'
A 1 B 2 C 5 D 4
Now the task is to show those records that do not match...in this instance
E1.Field1 E1.Field2 E2.Field2 C 3 5
Now I've used the find unmatched wizard and this is the SQL: SELECT E1.Field1, E1.Field2, E2.Field2 FROM E1 LEFT JOIN E2 ON E1.Field2 = E2.Field2 WHERE (((E2.Field2) Is Null));
this is giving me partially the right answer as in E1.Field1 E1.Field2 E2.Field2 C 3
I have a query which combines several linked tables, the query has about 10 columns, I need to show only the records which have one or more empty fields.
Some records may only have one missing field others may have several.
