Forms :: Add Registration Number From A Form To Email?
Sep 16, 2013
My form forces the user to send an email to me when using the database for the first time.
I now have a registration number on the form that is hardcoded into each copy by me. It is held in (frmRegister.RegistrationNumber). I already have code to get the email to send but now ned to add the contents of this field to the email.
Code:
.HTMLBody = "<HTMLtags>This email confirms that a new user " & _
olApp.Application.Session.Accounts.Item(1).SmtpAddress & _
" has registered a copy of Gundog Manager.
The registration number of this copy is (frmRegister.RegistrationNumber)</HTMLtags>"
I'm looking for some basic ideas on how to change the registration proceedure for my company's conference from a basically all paper endeavor to an online form.
Would it be relatively simple to put a form on our website asking for basic information (Name, Company, etc) that would output into an MS Access file? Are there technical issues / problems that would make this very difficult?
Hello im new to this forum and I just recently became involved with access so please bear with me and my many questions. I work for a mining company in Canada and we have training events. These records must be kept showing who attended and what was covered.
I have used the event template and contact template and merged them into one to I have a listing of all employees and their personal information. I have another table with events that say what was taught or shown and so forth. I am trying to figure out the best way to have them register for these events.
Right now I have right now a registration form that has the employeeID and the eventID. The problem is I would like to be able to use a list view and just select the people who attended and with the press of a button have all the registrations be completed dynamically. As right now for each person I have to create a new entry. Hope I was not too confusing, and thanks for the time. Patrick
I’m adding a new function to our Costumer Relations Management system – Time management. Or maybe “time registration” is a better definition for it. The idea is that our consultants can add their hours into our CRM, either from the “Project”, “Tasks” or “Costumer” part of the CRM. Note: This is a tool to keep track of hours spent on a project, not a planning tool.
I’ve made the input-form for the records (Date, ClockStart, ClockStop, TimeSpent, InvoiceHours, etc.). But now I’m basically without a clue on where to start – I want to make a function almost like the calendar in Outlook, where the consultants can input what they’ve been working on, say between 13:00 and 14:00.
It doesn’t have to be fancy graphically, but functional and give a good overview.
I want to automate an email to include the senders email addres with some text in the body of the email.
Code: Private Sub send_mail_Click() Dim olApp As Object Dim objMail As Object On Error Resume Next 'Keep going if there is an error Set olApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application") 'See if Outlook is open
1.- Have Access open an Outlook message window 2.- Popuilate the To: field with the shipping agency's email address (can be different shipping agencies, in each shipment we choose the agency from an existing table which contains the email address of each one) 3.- populate the Subkect fiel with "Pickup Notice # [ShipmentNumber]" whee [ShipmentNumber] is a control on the form 4.- Populate de body of the message wit some text and values from different records, such as
Dear [ShipAgentContact] Please arrange pickup opf shipent # [ShipmentNumber] There are [ShippedParcelss] parcels to pick up.
[Code].....
code I can modigy to do it?- Currently I use SendObject and send a report in PDF format but it would be much better not to send any attachment and put the information in the message body instead.
In Access 2010 I have built a FORM which has several records of several people. I am trying to email one record only to a certain person from that FORM. If I use the access email button it opens outlook but it sends all the records in the FORM to the person. I have tried even to use the micro, but still it attach all the records in the FORM and send it all as one bundle to other.
I made a form in Acces now i want to make a button in that form that if a user click on it it wel open a new email message with the form in it.. so NOT if a attachement but directly in the email body.
I'm sure there is a way to do this true vba or something else...
I have a form which has a button to email the data out in a standard email message.
Private Sub Command60_Click() Dim MyDb As dao.Database Dim rsEmail As dao.Recordset Dim sToName As String Dim sSubject As String Dim sMessageBody As String
[code]...
This works well enough, however, FIELDS 11 through to 16 contain the venue address. This is all we ll and good if every field of the venue address is populated. here are times when not all of the fields are populated, for instance, the address might only be 5 lines.I know I can do this using IIf statements on a report, but how can i achieve the same thing for the email.
I am using Access 2010 and I want to be able to open a blank email addressed to the contact I am viewing in my Access form. I have been successful in creating a button which opens Outlook, but I don't know what code to put in the 'To' field of the EmailDatabaseObject page so that it picks up the email address of the contact I am looking at.
I have got a form (name: SearchForm) that displays results of a query (name: AircraftSearch). It is a continuous form displaying multiple results of a search done by the query. I need to be able to send an e-mail to multiple recipients chosen from results displayed on the form.
One of the form's field (a text box called: EmailToOperator) is containing e-mail address to an aircraft operator selected by the underlying query. I need to be able to place a check box button (or something similar) that is going to select the e-mail address. The tricky part is to have multiple check boxes allocated for each record displayed on the form and have them working independently.
The second task is sending a one message (via Microsoft Outlook 2010) to chosen multiple recipients (with no attachments) having the recipients' addresses not visible to each other.
I am attempting to modify some code that is used for reading content in an Outlook mail and need to catch and move the email if certain content is duplicated in the email.
The code reads the email that is in the attached image format:
As seen, this email contains 2 devices, but the Serial No in both is duplicated.
In the code, I need to capture this and rather than reading the contents, I need to just move this email to a separate "Manual" folder to be dealt with separately, so not to write the information to the database.
The current code is as follows:
Option Explicit Private ns As Outlook.Namespace Private sEmailAddress As String Private sPerson As String Private dReceived As Date
I am using a template database that I downloaded from the Microsoft Access template website and have been modifying it and adding new forms and tables etc. I have used the forms wizard to create a number of new forms to edit a number of the tables. The forms are "split forms".I can't seem to get many of the forms to stay the size that I set them to! They seem to have a mind of their own and often when I think that I have sized them correctly, I then open the form and they display in full screen mode or larger!
I have designed a database where there are several forms that pull information from the back end table and only one used to input data. I have changed the table to allow "Year Group" to be text so that I can input "R" for our Reception. On the input form this is fine, however, on the two forms that are used to compile reports it is saying "R" isn't an allowed value.
I have attached the front end file, back end table and the two affected tables are frm_Report Builder and frm_Analysis Builder. I'm only a beginner and I'm sure this is easy but I can't seem to find where these forms say this should only be a number
I am new to Access and I am developing a form. I have already read and found useful resources on internet but there is something I am not able to sort out.I have seen that the limit of fields I can enter in Access is 255 and my survey is far below that number. So no issue at all when I created the fields in Data view. However, the issues started when I created a form.
I created a form by Create>Form. The last few fields, at the very bottom of the form, are squeezed onto each other as if there was not any space available. Is there a limit to the number of fields I can have in a form? There should not be if I am allowed to enter up to 255 fields. How can I go about it? Should I alternatively create 2 forms? I would rather not to though.
I have a Form with data entry property = No. If a user clicks the page down button accidently, this could move the form to the next record even when cycle property = current record. I want to create a macro that fires a message whenever the user clicks page down and moves to the next record.
Question1:Is there an event that is somehow linked to a user moving into the next record.
Question2: Alternatively is there a way I can store the record number in a form textbox. How can the record number be captured via a simple macro action ?
I have a form that takes input to the first, indexed, field from a barcode reader (and keyboard at a pinch). The data coming in has always been numeric so I have several checks in place to ensure it is numberic (field specification) and also that it lays in a predefined range. All works well! I've now been asked to enable this to work with a single letter prefix e.g. T1234567.
As there are many forms which use this same field I'd like to keep it numeric and as the prefix won't change I can add it later using a query. Is there a way to programatically strip the first letter from the string and use CLng() to convert to numeric using the on entry Event Procedure? All my other validation is here but I can't see a way to do this. Failing that, can I use an unbound text box to take the entry and set the index field?
I have a database that has transactions since year 2009. I want the users to only be able to view and edit transactions that were entered in the last 6 days. I was initially able to do this by putting a filter in the Property Sheet section of the form and choosing Yes for Filter on Load.
However, a user was able to discover that by clicking on Clear All Filters, the filter I set was also cleared, thus making them see all the transactions beginning year 2009.
I have a form containing 4 text Boxes txt1, txt2, txt3 and txt4
I want
txt1 show records from table empDetail having age between 18 to 25 txt2 show records from table empDetail having age between 26 to 35 txt3 show records from table empDetail having age between 36 to 45 txt4 show records from table empDetail having age between 46 to 55
Is there any way to highlight duplicates across a number of records on a continuous form (conditional formatting I presume)? My continuous form is filtered on load to show only the records relating to the specified date (specified before opening the form), and there is one field that I would like to highlight if there is a duplicate value in the same field on another record on the form. Is this possible?
The fields in the form are currently pull downs or manual enrty fields (all based on the columns of the table... "Bound" I think you call it).
I also have fields that I manually brought into my form as text boxes that I am using to populate a series of numbers. I have named them P1, P2, P3 etc. They are unbound fields.
I have a field that I am totalling the unbound fields. It is a column in my table. At one point the control source name was the table coulmn name.
I have changed the control source to read =[p1]+[p2]+[p3]+ etc.
The total does show up in the field on my form
HOWEVER.... When I save the data the total number does not get brought into the table. All of the other fields do.
I want to create a form that incorporates a number of different tables & tabs. When I switch tabs (which represent the information on the different tables) I need it to be consistent with the main table and all the information that follows it from the different tables.I've been told the best way to do that is with a parent form but I haven't been able to find an EASY step-by-step instruction on how to do that.
My problem is the following: when I receive say 5 computers in a purchase form, I want to register the serial number of each of them in another form, bound to another table. If I receive 2 units in the purchase form, my user should only be able to input 2 records in the serial form (a continuous form), if we receive 3, then only 3 records,I cannot quite figure out how to build this second (serial number registration form), so that it refuses input after the correct number has been reached.
I currently have a database where new records can be entered in a "New Part" Form and Records can be viewed(but not altered) in a "Part Search" Form. The forms are the same except one is allowed to edit. I have also created another form where I am trying to search the "Part Search" Form via a tracking number. I want to have a text box where users enter a tracking number then click the button to take them to the record on the "Part Search" Form.
