View RepliesI have a continuous form with a button 'Cmd1' & a textbox 'txtMail' which is set to visible no.
When the user clicks Cmd1 - then txtMail becomes visible.
I can do it using vba on the buttons click event but when it executes txtMail for all the records become visible.
How do I use a button's click event on the form's current record - Private Sub Form_Current() so that when the user clicks Cmd1 on the current record only txtMail for that record becomes visible.
I'm using Access 2007.
I found a few regarding continuous form data but its not the sample that fits.
Attached here is my screen shot and my accdb file (MSAccess 2013)
How do they populate unbound continuous form from msaccess connecting to mysql server.
It should display 5 data but in my case it does show only one data.
I have a continuous form based on a orders table and a details sub form.I list all the records in a continuos form in date of order.i need to change the colour of a single record based on the condition of a tick box on the original orders form
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have a continuous form and I have a button that is pressed when a job is released and it record a date in a field. I wanted to turn that button to disabled after pressed but after lots of reading found that it couldn't be done in a continuous form due to it disabling all buttons . So I decided to just make the code populate the field only if it was a null value so that it wouldn't overwrite a value if someone pressed it more than once. Well the null is my downfall in all this. I cannot make it compare and populate the date when the button is pressed. I have tried all I can find on the net and all I can think of.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a datasheet view where the 1st field has an event.
Private Sub WorkOrder_Click()
DoCmd.OpenForm "Engineer Entry Update", WhereCondition:="[Workorder]=" & Me.WorkOrder
End Sub
The form "Engineer Entry Update" opens but the require data in not there until I press the WorkOrder_Click() again.Then it is populated. Why do I have to double press?I would like a single click to open the form a populate.
I have a Project form, which holds StockArtProduction_Subform in datasheet view. I need for them to be able to click on the ID in the StockArtProduction_Subform datasheet and it open a single view form (StockArtProduction) with the correlating ID.
Ideally, it would also work for new entries in the StockArtProduction_Subform, but the StockArtProduction form would have to "auto populate" (did I use it right?) with the ID of the currently open Project form.
Trying to pull information from a text box on double click to populate a combobox on another form...
keeps coming up "type mismatch"
I call lngAccount as recognised on mouseover... ("Business Account" is the value I want)
I can't get it to work!
For info, the form I'm calling from is a subform located FrmMainMenu/FrmAccountsMainMenu and the control source is [Account]
the form I wish to populate in on FrmTransactions (it is a main form only) and the combobox is cboaccountselect - **I've seen the obvious mistake with no reference to this whatsoever, corrected it, and still not working**
I have continuous form in Access 2010 and I would like when user will click on record, the image, for instance, imgTest become visible for that record. But for other records the image not visible. How it to do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a continuous form with button for every record, wich has a VBA code. I want to put Button in header form, when i click it, then should run all button in continuous form. How can I do that.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to get my head round this one , but i'm just to thick to get it.
I have a continuous form that lists all items at a certain location.
The user selects a record by clicking on the record selector and then clicks on a command button with this code:
stDocName = "DivingInspectionCert"
stLinkCriteria = ("EquipmentID = " & Me!EquipmentID)
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, , , stLinkCriteria
The user then enters inspection details in to the "DivingInspectionCert" form which i want to store in a table (DivingCert) which will relate to the item. On completion of this form the user then clicks on a command button with this code:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord
If Me.RecordsetClone.RecordCount = 0 Then
MsgBox "There are no items to Print", vbInformation, "EquiTrac"
End
Else
DoCmd.OpenReport "DivingInspectionRpt", , , ("EquipmentID = " & Me!EquipmentID)
DoCmd.Close
When i click on this button, the report doesn't print and i get a message "No current record".
The inspection details are not stored in the table.
I did have the forms RecordSource based on the table "DivingCert" but that didn't work and i have just tried a query but it is still not working.
Would be much appreciated if you can help me.
Thank you
Can I populate unbound fields on a continious form, if it is possible would you give me some code to look at or direct me to an article

I have a form that I have exported certain fields into a word doc (it is up and running just fine). I created bookmarks in word and put some VBA into my access form, so when I click on 'Create word report' it pops up and automatically populates the record I am on. Here is the tough question,
How to make this work with a continuous form? My main form has several subforms, one being a continuous form. The main form shows one bridge at a time. The sub continuous form shows information for all of the bridges spans (could be anywhere from 1 to 9).
In the past a Teacher would manually create a Form (Student Form) containing Student information, (Name, Gender, Birthdate, Homegroup) as well as additional issues on the student. This would all be saved into a table.
I would like to change this manual process of typing in individually to each text box, therefore, I have been able to run a report from a external program that obtains (Name, Gender, Birthdate, Homegroup). This saves as CSV and I am able to import into a separate table within the database.
This works no problem.
What I have set-up is a form that contains a listbox this contains the Student name and Homegroup from the imported table contents. Again this works fine.
What i would like to do is when a student is selected from the listbox and dbl clicked on, how can i make information (Name, Gender, Birthdate, Homegroup) populate the textboxes in the Student form that the teacher previously used? could this be an update query where the imported table information will then go into the Student form? If so, how can I tell the dbl click of highlighted name is the data i want to populate?
I would like to highlight record when user will click Record Selector in the continuous form. How to do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I right click a row on the data sheet side of a split form an select "New Record" I want the curser to go to the first field on the single record side. I've placed this in the OnCurrent but it did no good.
Code:
If Me.NewRecord Then
Me!Descrfiption.SetFocus.
End If
Any way to set the focus to the single form Side of a split form?
I want to use buttons on a form to change the sort order on a continuous form. In the buttons click event I am using a public function (named Sort_1) to change the sort order. The first element of the event call is the name of a generic query (named Sort_1_Query1) and the query field to sort (LAST_NAME OR FRIST_NAME, depending on the button.)This is the Click Statement.
=Sort_1("Sort_1_Query1","LAST_NAME")
This is the Public Function
Public Function Sort_1(SortName As String, FieldName1 As String)
DoCmd.ApplyFilter SortName, FieldName1 & "between 'A' and 'Z'"
End Function
I think the problem is in the use of quotation marks or trying to pass the query field name to the Do Command or the use of an ampersand.
I have a continuous form in which I put a command button for each record called "detail". I would like to click on the "detail" button and make it open another form containing all (and only) the info on this record.
At first I refused to use an "id" to link both forms, but finally I added the "id" in the table... however still does not work.
continuous form: "04 - GASTOS_BUSQUEDA"
id field on continuous form: "Gastid"
pop-up (details) form: "GASTOS_EDITAR"
id on pop-up (details) form: "editar_id"
This is what I have tried on the "click" properties of the "details" button field (called "btn_editgs"):
1)
DoCmd.OpenForm "GASTOS_EDITAR", acNormal, , "[editar_id] = " & Me.Gastid
2)
DoCmd.OpenForm "GASTOS_EDITAR", , , "[editar_id]=" & Me.Gastid
3)
stLinkCriteria = "[editar_id]=" & Me![Gastid]
DoCmd.OpenForm "GASTOS_EDITAR", , , stLinkCriteria
4)
Private Sub btn_editgs_Click()
On Error GoTo btn_editgs_Click_Err
Dim strWhere As String
strWhere = "[editar_id] = " & Me.Gastid
DoCmd.OpenForm "GASTOS_EDITAR", , , strWhere
btn_editgs_Click_Exit:
Exit Sub
btn_editgs_Click_Err:
MsgBox Error$
Resume btn_editgs_Click_Exit
End Sub
How to populate the parent form's PK to multiple records in a child subform set to a default view continuous form?
In other words, how to auto populate the primary key to multiple records displayed the subform?
I'VE objects in ACC2003 as per following :
Form name : INVOICECreate
Query Name : db_InvoiceSet
Reports :
1st Report : Report_Inv1
2nd Report : Report_Inv2
3rd Report : Report_Inv3
All Reports based on Single db_InvoiceSet due to some cross and different manipulation of data for different office department
So, I need is:
Open All Reports in Print Preview Mode with Single Click of Button in Form INVOICECreate
I am trying to create a proposal log for my company to make things easier to track. I have made a multiple items form to list the proposals. I want to be able to double click the record to open up another form (that i have already created) that shows the information from the proposal table and the proposal details table. So.....
I want to double click the field named "Proposal Name" and have it open up to form i have called "proposals details form".
I have a continuous subform with an unbound Concat textbox and would like to populate another field for each record with the results with a main form button onClick event.
How do I accomplish this?
There are two forms invoolved in thi
pfrm_AddClientPrimary
pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck
On a command button in pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck I have the following code.
Code:
Private Sub cmdAddNewClient_Click()
DoCmd.OpenForm "pfrm_AddClientPrimary"
DoCmd.Close acForm, "pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck"
End Sub
This works great
On the onOpen event of the pfrm_AddClientPrimary form I have this code
Code:
Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
Me.FirstName = Forms!pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck!txtFirstName
Me.LastName = Forms!pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck!txtLastName
Me.SocialInsureanceNumber = Forms!pfrm_AddClientDuplicateCheck!txtSOcialInsureanceNumber
Me.FirstName.SetFocus
End Sub
This fails on the first line with this error
Run-time error 2147352567 (80020009)
You can't assign a value to this object
I am aware of the incorrect spelling of Me.SocialInsureanceNumber this is the way it is in the db.
I have two tables - Interviews & Placements.these tables have multiple foreign keys which pull information from other tables (CandidateID,ClientID etc). I have designed queries and forms (datasheet view) which display all the values that I need, For example:
The interview form shows the following fields:
CandidateName;Company;consultant;1stInterviewDate; 2ndInterviewDate;Offer;Accepted
the placements form shows the following fields:
PlacedCandidate;Company;Consultant;PlacementDate;F ee;
This query "qry_Interviews" populates these forms using the foreign keys:
CandidateID from candidates table
CompanyID from companies table
consultant from consultants table
Ideally what I'd like to happen, is when the "accepted" field is updated on the interviews form, the placements form opens as a pop up and is auto populated with the values (CandidateName;Company & consultant).So far I have tried setting the value directly, i.e on the "on Open" event of the Placements form I entered:
Me.Txtcontactname = Forms!ISISnavigationMain!navigationSubform.Form!DS .Name
This does not work. Should I be populating the placements form with the actual Foreign key values rather than the resolved names? Ideally I'd want the pop up placements form to display the actual names rather than just ID numbers.
I have a continuous form sfrmAddress which is based on my table tblAddressList. What I am trying to achieve concerns the date fields DateFrom and DateTo.
DateFrom is a bound text box txtDateFrom
I am trying to put an IIf function in the Control Source of unbound text box txtDateTo
=IIf([txtDateFrom]=[qryAddressHistory1]![LatestFromDate],Date(),[tblAddressList]![DateTo])
qryAddressHistory1 returns the LatestFromDate , so the most recent address.
The idea being if it is their most recent address, they have lived there until today, if it is not their most recent address it will display the date contained in the table (when they moved out or DateTo).
I have tried this a few different ways, double and triple checked my references and I'm usually OK with IIf so I don't understand where it's going wrong!
I should add I'm getting the #Name? error all the way down the column when I open the form.
I have the following code that is intended to use the three fields obtained from a record on a continuous form and display the details of the record on a single form. I have not used the findfirst method because I am having enormous problems with it. Instead I am defining a query based on the recordsource of the continuous form. This sql query gives one record as result and that record is to be used as recordsource by the single form.
Code:
Public Sub SboxSelectForm(ForName, ParName, QryName)
On Error GoTo NotFound
Debug.Print "SelectForm ForName="; ForName; " ParName="; ParName; " QryName="; QryName
Dim ResultQy As String, F As Form, P As Form
Dim db As DAO.Database
Dim Prsc As DAO.Recordset, Frsc As DAO.Recordset
[code]....
