I have a main form [frmZone] and a sub form (single form) [fromZoneSub] linked master/child by [ZoneID]
If there are, say, 5 related sub form records I'm trying to get a label [LabelCount] on the sub form to say "1 of 5" and as you click through the sub form for the label to change "2 of 5", then "3 of 5" etc....basically letting the user know how many records there are and as they click to the next record know which record they're on.
I have created a form which is having the above table as "control source". When data entering, if select a booking number from a Combo box, should checking how many records already having with same booking number and reflect the number of existing records in the form. If null records, it should show as "ZERO" records.
I have a continuous subform. Because the records are often many, the user needs to scroll down the page.
How do I have a text box in each row that shows Record x of Total Records?
I tried setting a text box control source = [currentrecord] in the Detail area of the subform but it didn't work . It did weird things because I suspect the control is trying to show the record that has the focus or something
I am trying to count the number of records in a subform where the text box (txtFinal) = RPR-RPR & RTN. The subform is called PartNumbers. The table name the subform is bound to is named Completed.
I tried using =DCount("[Part Number]","Completed","[Final] = 'RPR-RPR & RTN'"). That is counting the total number of records in the table, not the total number of records in the subform. How do I get it to count the total number of records in the subform?
All; using 2010. How can I get a subform to grow or shrink based on num of records returned? Its a continuous subform. Tried changing Vertical and Horizontal Anchors as well as some VBA suggestions but havent been able to make any of them work.
I have created a booking system for a set of resources for schools. Most schools have a membership which entitles them to 2 free sets. I have a booking form with a membership subform (membership table), and a booking details subform (kitloan table).
Once a school is selected on the main form, the membership subform shows the most recent record for that school based on schoolID.I want to display the number of sets they have already had within their membership period (can start at any time of the year, and lasts for 1 year) on the membership subform, so we know how many free ones they have left.
I therefore need to count the number of KitBkID (ID of the booking) in the Kitloan table where SchoolID = the SchoolID displayed on the membership subform, and the DateOut (booking date on kitloan table) is between the DateJoined and DateRenewal displayed on the membership subform (from membership table).
I can do this with a query which works when run and provided with the parameters SchoolID, DateJoined, and DateRenewal.
SELECT Count(Kitloan.KitBkID) AS CountOfKitBkID, Kitloan.SchoolID, Kitloan.DateOut FROM Kitloan INNER JOIN Membership ON Kitloan.SchoolID = Membership.SCHOOLID GROUP BY Kitloan.SchoolID, Kitloan.DateOut HAVING (((Kitloan.SchoolID)=[Me].[SCHOOLID]) AND ((Kitloan.DateOut) Between [Me].[DateJoined] And [Me].[DateRenewal]));
What I can't do is get it to run on the form and take those values from the form.From the searching I've done, I'm thinking a DCount should be the way to go, but I cannot get the criteria right. I created a query (KitloanCountQry) so that criteria could come from both the kitloan and membership tables.
SELECT Kitloan.KitBkID, Kitloan.SchoolID, Membership.DateJoined, Membership.SCHOOLID, Kitloan.DateOut FROM Kitloan INNER JOIN Membership ON Kitloan.SchoolID = Membership.SCHOOLID;
I have put the DCount as the control source for a textbox on the Membership subform (but have tried it in VBA too): =DCount("KitBkID","KitloanCountQry") This works but obviously gives me the total for all bookings.
[code]....
Although I have to admit to getting lost in the syntax. This produces #Error.
I have a stock record database which I have 'inherited' from someone far cleverer than me! I'm fairly used to basic SQL, but I'm teating by hair out over this particular problem.
I'm writing an Update Query to count the number of [NewModelCode] records WHERE Status ='Available' AND StockType = 'New' AND InstStockReference.OnlineShop = Yes and update a field called CountNew on a table called InstStockReference.. So far I have the following SQL:
UPDATE InstrumentStock INNER JOIN InstStockReference ON InstrumentStock.NewModelCode = InstStockReference.NewModelCode SET InstStockReference.CountNew = DCount("NewModelCode","InstrumentStock","Status='Available'") WHERE (((InstrumentStock.Status)="Available") AND ((InstrumentStock.StockType)="New") AND ((InstStockReference.OnlineShop)=Yes));
It partly works, but the result I get is a column count of 939 in every field where the Status ='Available' AND StockType = 'New' AND InstStockReference.OnlineShop = Yes.
I want to do a count the number of [NewModelCode] records.
I am wanting to display in a text box or on my report the total number or records in my database. Also I have some buttons that filter the results a little, I'm wanting to display the number after I hit the button(s). Would I just add the query to the end of each button I have?
How do I count the number of records with values within specified ranges?
My database contains a field with values ranging from say 1 to 1000. I need to write a query to show count the number of records with values in ranges I specify in the query.
I'm looking for output such as
<100 - 50 records 101 - 500 - 30 records 501 -1000 - 50 records
I have a form that has a subform in it, which is another table in it. I want to add the number of fields that are in the subform. What is the best way to do so?
I would like to write a VB script so that a field in the master field = the count of the records in that subform. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have a report that I am trying to complete based on several queries. I am trying to count the number of records based on certain criteria and using the following DCount.
=DCount("[Calculated time]","IPG1","[Calculated Time] <= 0.04" And [Ship-to party] In ("SN00207PJZ","SN09162XXX","SN09324XXX"))
I want to count the number of IPG1 records that are under .04 and have the Ship-to party of the ones listed. I have tried everything that I can think of to get it to work but can's seem to get it to. I figure it's something easy but I don't see it.
I need to have the sum of the "matching records" of a subform, exported to a variable of the main form, in order to use it in an if condition.
e.g. "IF a client has brought X? times the vehicle A for a service of type B, THEN do ..." How do I get the X value in a variable within the main form which presents all activity for all clients (by means of a subform).
I hope this is clear. Plaese help me, guys. You 've done it before, you're so great!
Code: ' count records in query Dim rs As DAO.Recordset Dim db As Database Dim strSQL As String Dim beginDatum As String Dim eindDatum As String Set db = CurrentDb
I have a pre-established database with a form that calculates total sales and tax for a time period i specify. I want to add a box that will display the number of sale records. Ex. if i had sales of 50,000.00, and that came from 200 sales i want the box to show the number 200.
I'm creating an employee audit database, and, in the audit form, the user (ie. supervisor) can select a number of items from a listbox. Each item selected corresponds to an error that the employee has made, and, as such, the employee's Audit Score has two points deducted for each item that is selected.
Incidentally, there are other, solitary elements to the form, but this particular listbox houses a collection of items that are related under a single category.
The score is displayed at the bottom of the form, and it needs to update in real-time.
The problems that I am encountering are that I am unable to count the number of items selected and then I am unable to multiply that count by 2 (the point-value of each item on the list.)
1) show the number of records in the subform on the main form 2) count the number of records in the subform where a value [Public] is True 3) count the number of records in the subform where another value [Analyst] is True.
I can achieve the first two by using the following VBA on the Main form current event -
Quote:
Private Sub Form_Current() Dim rst As DAO.Recordset Dim lngCount As Long
[Code]....
when i try to get number 3 done I get the same value as for [Public] (using lngCount for both...not surprising really!)
how i can get a count done for [Analyst] = True in the same event?
I have a form that contains a number of tabs, each tab then contains a subform. The basic gist is that there are clients and each client chart needs to be audited to make sure that the every clients chart has all of the correct information in it. So if for example, each client needs an initial treatment plan, there would be a tab called Initial Treatment Plan that would contain a subform (continuous form) displaying all of the clients that are missing this information.
I would like to display the number of records that are being displayed in each subform in the tab next to the name to make it easier for the auditor to know how many which tabs have content to be updated. For example, if there are 10 clients that are missing their initial treatment plan, the tab would read "Initial Treatment Plan (10)".
I was able to get a total number of rows in datasheet view, but I don't know if there is a way to have that field as a hidden field in continuous form view that can have its value displayed in the tab.
I need to check the recordcount in a subform of a navigation frame form in VBA. What is the proper syntax. I have tried multiple things but cant seem to get it. I would rather not use dcount.
I have a code that works great from the parent form but I decided to change the format and call it from a lostfocus event in the subform instead. Now I keep getting error 3314:"You must enter a value in the tbGuests.LastName field".
The code should copy the parent form fields and create x number of duplicate records according to a field on sub-form. It then runs an append query to add the information from the subform.
Code:
Private Sub GuestsInParty_LostFocus() Dim partymsg As Integer Dim dbs As dao.Database, rst As dao.Recordset Dim F As Form Dim intHowMany As Integer Dim intCounter As Integer
