Forms :: Create A Report Using Currently Open Record?
May 12, 2015
I am creating a database to store patient ultrasound reports in a clinic. The form I've designed contains a single patient's report with various values and measurements. I need a button on that form that opens a report showing ONLY THAT PATIENT'S data.
So, for example, if I've opened the form (AbdomenForm) on patient with ID 4, when I press this button, it should open the report showing only patient ID 4's data.
I can get it to work manually by creating a query (AbdomenQuery) that contains 4 in the criteria for ID (my table's primary key). Then I made a report (AbdomenReport) that uses AbdomenQuery as its data source and everything turns out well.
Now, how do I go about making a button on the form so that when patient ID 5 is open, that button opens the report for only patient ID 5? What code should I use and where should I put it?
I have a report based on a query that has data for many dates. At the moment I have put a specific date in the criteria of the query so that I could build the report format. So it now displays all the data for the date i have in the criteria section. I will need to run this report several times per week so the specified date (and corresponding data in the report) will need to be changed to a new date when I open the report i.e. when I open my report I want to show data in the report only for a specified date.
Can I create a date parameter box open up when I open the report? Can I create a form with a button that when I click will open the report displaying data for that date? What would be the best way?I also need to display the specified date on the report.
Table: "Facility Info" Data in the table: "facility", "city", "date", etc. Query: "Q Facility" Report: "R Facility" Form: "Main Form" is where the data is entered that goes into the "Facility Info" table.
In the "Main Form" there is a dropdown box where I can select the "facility".I would like to add a button to this form that opens my report "R Facility". But this report is a collection of all the facilities and I would like it to just report the ones for the facility that I selected from the dropdown box on my "Main Form".
What I need to do is press a button on a form. When the button is pressed, I want to create a new record in a table not already open and populate some fields with data from the form I am looking at. Then call up a new form with the record I just created on it.
Basically it is a work-order entry issue, the user scrolls through to find the correct piece of equipment when they do they click on "Create work-order" a work order is created and populated and the user can then fine tune the new work-order as required.
I am trying to create a form to enter data in a table. I would like to make it pull in info from a switchboard. If the record already exists I would like it to find it and allow me to edit the info. If the record doesn't exist I would like to be able to add a new record with the data input. What is the best way to accomplish this?
I have a form with 7 List boxes linked to 7 Query's which in turn are linked to a table. Each list box if for a particular trade.
I am trying to select a person or persons from each List box and then have them sent to a report. I have Code to do one list box, but do not know how to link all boxes with code to a 'Open report' button.
The code I am using is as follows:-
Private Sub cmdOpenReport_Click() On Error GoTo Err_cmdOpenReport_Click Dim strWhere As String Dim ctl As Control Dim varItem As Variant 'make sure a selection has been made
I have a query which displays only the records that match the criteria in the form given before. Now i want to create separate report for each of these records. How should i go about with it? I don't want a seperate form for this purpose, is there any way to do the same with a macro?
I hae a button on my form to open a report. However, I get all the records in the database when I only want to see the report with the current record from the form on it. How do I narrow my report?
I am investigating on the possibility of setting up an approval process for our employee intake procedure by using MS Access and Outlook.
The idea is for the requester to open an intake form in Access and fill in the new employee's information and send an Outlook email to the manager for approval. I know how to trigger off an event on the form to send an email to the manager but my challenge is how to create a hyperlink in the email for the recipient to directly open the intake form with the specific record, without the need to open the database and find the specific intake form.
The intake form is built in a frontend .mde file on a shared drive where all users have access to.
I have one table with some info about my clients, I have a form, where I must choose this clients from combobox and then after clicking button Print must open report with info about specific (chosen from combobox) client and some another texts that doesn't change. Final result must be printed report as invoice.
I can't create report with only specific record information.
I have a form called GetdataFrm. Within it i have a combo box that filter a query. When the combo filters, it populates a continuous subform called GetDataQrysubform. GetDataQrysubform look like a table that contains this Jobcode information:
EmployeeID Jobcode CardAccess Folders Software
When I filter the GetDataFrm form, I want to be able to click on a Employee's EmployeeID number from a single record in GetDataQrysubform and then a form called SingleRefrm would pop up taking me to that record. So far I have a event procedure coded to open up SingleRefrm, when the EmployeeID field is clicked but its not working. The code looks like this:
I have a main form [Job Quote Form 10-2205] and I am trying to add a command button to open up [Job Process Form-MKD] and have the [Job Process Form-MKD] open up and only show the records that match a certain field, in this case what I call "JobTrackNo" in the [Job Process Form-MKD]. (see attached .jpg)
This problem started to happen only recently, namely you will see that the left column under [Job Quote Form 10-2205] is blank, where normally there had been a number of fields to choose from. The fields are all still available, they are just not opening when I try to match two fields.
i want to open a report but only showing the result of one record in a sub form,
i have a field that is on all rows of the subform,[click to run] and what i want the user to be able to do is double click on this field and it will open the report with only the record information for that row displayed.
I have a form "IntUnderwriterSearchByName" which is based on the query "Search by Name". This form opens with a parameter (please enter name of broker) and is set out like a datasheet with the following fields- "Broker Name", "Domicile", "Broker Code" and a couple of others. I'd like to be able to click on a record and open the form "IntUnderwriterPopUp" so that the details of that specified record are displayed.
Broker Code is what I'd like the form to look for and this Broker Code is unique for every one of the 900 or so records. This code can be numerical e.g. 01233 but also can be a mixture of both e.g. EU2885. It is also worth noting that this code is not the primary key- i have an autonumber (called ID) that does this- but this field does not appear on the form.
I currently have a button that opens a report. the report pulls from a query that has parameters set to "fromdate" and "todate". instead of using dates and parameters that pop up as blank text boxes, I would like to click the button, have a form pop up with a combo box to select all of the options available (currently 23 options) and then click a button to make a report that only displays the record (1-23) selected. I do not need any time constraints because as the databases get updated with more records, there would be more than 23 options to choose from.
I want to create a form that allows a user to enter criteria that will be passed to an existing make table query. suggestions on a user friendly book on Access 2010 programming, I'd be really interested. I'd like to be able to do more with Access 2010.
I have a continuous form based on a 'start date' - 'end date' query. I would like to be able to select certain records from this form to print.
I have added a 'print' field and have created a new query including this parameter which a report can be based on but when i run this report I am, of course, asked for the original 'start date' and 'end date' again.
Is there any way of linking the command button to only the records on the current form?
I am trying to open a report (with subreports) from a form. When the report opens, I want the form to hide, which most of the time does. Sometimes, though, it won't hide when the report opens. So, I even created an error handler, and moved that part of the code to SubExit section, but the problem still occasionally occurs. Here is my code:
Code: Dim strWhere As String Dim strDate As String Dim strDist As String On Error GoTo ErrHandler strDate = "=DateSerial(" & Year(Me.txtAsOfDate) & "," & Month(Me.txtAsOfDate) & "," & Day(Me.txtAsOfDate) & ")" strWhere = "YearEnd = " & Year(Me.txtAsOfDate) - 1
I am struggling to pull out a report based on the combo box selection. I have NOI database and want to pull out a report for a specific customer that how many NOIs are generated by this customer..
I have a separate table of customer and another table of NCRs and the customer information comes from customer table.
I have tried the below statement but gives me an error message:
code for Macro that pulls the report in click event:
[CustomerName]=[forms]![CustName]![combocust1]
do i need to mention the report as well in some where in report ?
I want to open a report with the results from a filtered form.
I want to use a similar format to the attached Allene Browne search2000 as the base to filter the records initially, but not sure how to get the filtered results into a report and the most efficient way.
I have a form which runs specific queries and opens a report using combo boxes, these work perfectly fine if I just try to run them in the form. I have put the form into a navigation form and if I try to run the same query I get parameter queries popping up instead of just running the query and opening the report.
I have two tables which are in a one-to-many relationship (the example I am dealing with is a mother and her children).
I want one form for the mother, with fields such as date of birth, and when you click Add Record I want the mother table to be updated with the new record.
However on this form I also want a field for "number of children" and when the Add Record button is clicked, not only does the table containing all the mothers get a record added, I would like XX records added to the children table where XX is the number of children entered into the form. These should have separate IDs but retain a common field that identifies the mother.
I have a continuous form that is based on a query. I would like to have an open button so that you can select a record on the form and that particular record opens up in a new form. How do I do this?
If this cant be achieved would I be able to make a form open that shows a particular record based on the query and you just press next record to view the other records that are a result of the query?
