Forms :: DCount Function In Subform - Total Number Of Records
Jun 14, 2015
I am trying to count the number of records in a subform where the text box (txtFinal) = RPR-RPR & RTN. The subform is called PartNumbers. The table name the subform is bound to is named Completed.
I tried using =DCount("[Part Number]","Completed","[Final] = 'RPR-RPR & RTN'"). That is counting the total number of records in the table, not the total number of records in the subform. How do I get it to count the total number of records in the subform?
I have a continuous subform. Because the records are often many, the user needs to scroll down the page.
How do I have a text box in each row that shows Record x of Total Records?
I tried setting a text box control source = [currentrecord] in the Detail area of the subform but it didn't work . It did weird things because I suspect the control is trying to show the record that has the focus or something
I have a form containing 4 text Boxes txt1, txt2, txt3 and txt4
I want
txt1 show records from table empDetail having age between 18 to 25 txt2 show records from table empDetail having age between 26 to 35 txt3 show records from table empDetail having age between 36 to 45 txt4 show records from table empDetail having age between 46 to 55
I am trying to get the main form to display a total Amount for all records in Purchase order details but the control displays Error:
I have a Form called frmPurchaseOrder with a sub-form sbfrmPurchaseOrderDetails
sbfrmPurchaseOrderDetails takes item details from a table based on what is selected in the combo box then fills out four additional fields in the same sub-form.
SELECT tblItemListDetails.ItemID, tblItemListDetails.ItemName, tblItemListDetails.ItemSize, tblItemListDetails.ItemUnit, tblItemListDetails.ItemUnitCost, tblItemListDetails.ItemBrand FROM tblItemListDetails WHERE (((tblItemListDetails.Supplier)=[Forms]![frmPurchaseOrders]![SupplierCombo]));
Private Sub cmbItemName_Change() Me.txtSize.Value = Me.cmbItemName.Column(2)
In my database main form with subform. subform have query as recordsource.total of one of field in subform shown on main form. all is ok and show total correctly but when subform have no records then total field on main form shows #error. How to convert this value either into null string or zero(0).
I have a report that I am trying to complete based on several queries. I am trying to count the number of records based on certain criteria and using the following DCount.
=DCount("[Calculated time]","IPG1","[Calculated Time] <= 0.04" And [Ship-to party] In ("SN00207PJZ","SN09162XXX","SN09324XXX"))
I want to count the number of IPG1 records that are under .04 and have the Ship-to party of the ones listed. I have tried everything that I can think of to get it to work but can's seem to get it to. I figure it's something easy but I don't see it.
I am working with MS Access 2003. I have a form (frmCalendar) with a textbox (tbDay) and a combobox (cmbLineName)
I want to count the number of records based on the criteria from cmbLineName, and show the result in tbDate. Inside the Control Source of tbDate I put in the following:
The problem is that the result in tbDate is always 0; regardless of what is chosen in cmbLineName. I know that the record count should not be 0 for all criteria.
I have a main form [frmZone] and a sub form (single form) [fromZoneSub] linked master/child by [ZoneID]
If there are, say, 5 related sub form records I'm trying to get a label [LabelCount] on the sub form to say "1 of 5" and as you click through the sub form for the label to change "2 of 5", then "3 of 5" etc....basically letting the user know how many records there are and as they click to the next record know which record they're on.
All; using 2010. How can I get a subform to grow or shrink based on num of records returned? Its a continuous subform. Tried changing Vertical and Horizontal Anchors as well as some VBA suggestions but havent been able to make any of them work.
I am wanting to display in a text box or on my report the total number or records in my database. Also I have some buttons that filter the results a little, I'm wanting to display the number after I hit the button(s). Would I just add the query to the end of each button I have?
I am using the following UNION QUERY to total up equipment tested for a report.
SELECT "Laptops Tested" AS PCEQUIP, Count(*) AS RECORDS FROM [LAPTOPS] WHERE (((Date)Between [Enter Start Date] AND [Enter End Date])); UNION SELECT "Workstations Tested" AS PCEQUIP, Count(*) AS RECORDS FROM [WORKSTATION]
[code]...
I have created a report using ACCESS 2000 for this union query and it satisfies the requirement. I am trying to add the proper code and syntax in this query to total the number of all of this equipment tested.In this case the total would be 86. Is this possible?
After having no luck with the standard datasheet E-Totals, i'm now trying to have a textbox on the main form that totals a subforms column called lineTotal.Line Total is a calculated query field that works out the Qty*cost.So say if they put in 5 lines on the subform, the textbox field will sum all of there linetotal and shows a rolling grand total.
I am trying to create a time sheet that enables my workers to fill out separate work orders and the hours from those Work orders are auto transferred to a sub form within their daily time sheet. I have gotten all this done and I have the total hours transferring to the main form but I need to use that transferred number in a new sum on the main form. I know that this cannot be easily done just by using the expression builder.
HELP PLEASE!!! There are two fields in my form that need the following relationship:
1. When I enter 1000 in my "spec no" field in my form, I need my "Number Field" to enter a "1" 2. When I enter 1000 in my "spec no" field in the next record, I need the "Number Field" for this record to enter "2" but "1" to remain on the first record. 3. If I enter 1001 in my "spec no" field in the next record, I need the "Number Field" to enter "1" 4. Continue this logic for all records without modifying the previous "Number Field" record.
I was told there was a way to accomplish this using DCount or Count function. Maybe there's an easier way??? Any help is greatly appreciated!! TX!
Hello, I would like to insert a DCount function in an unbound textbox in a form to count all records in a query. My current code in the textbox is: '=DCount("*","Query1")'. The Query 'Query1' depends on two parameters, which has to be entered before opening the query. The result is '#Error', if 'Query1' is open or not. Thanks for your help.
I have a report where I use numerous DCOUNT functions, and it works fine. But now I need another report which has multiple conditions, and I can't seem to find examples anywhere to get my syntax right. For this example, the field 1 ENJOY in table CONGSITEALL needs to pull out the number of entries for the answer Yes, Definitely, and Most of the Time. I have tried putting the quotes, etc into diffeent places but I just can't seem to find the right combination.
=DCount("[1 ENJOY]","CONGSITEALL","[1 ENJOY] IN ('''Yes, Definitely','Most Of The Time'")
In my database when an item is currently being loaned the item's loaned field will have a 1 to indicate this. When the item is returned the value is 0. Only so many items are available and when I use the DCount function it is counting the 0s as 1s.
I ahve declared custCount as an integer and id as a string that comes from the user form (id = me.CustID) and trying to count the number of matching records in the recordset (rst) using the following:
custCount = DCount("[customerId]", rst, "[customerId] like '" & id & "'")
I'm getting a type mismatch error on the DCount statement?
