I have a filtered subform that has a check box on each record. I want to be able to use an unbound checkbox to select all and have that selection updated in the table for each associated record.
View RepliesI have a parent form which has a yes/no checkbox in the form's record source. Then in that parent form I have a sub-form. If NO records exist in the sub-form I want the checkbox to be UN checked. If records DO exist in the sub-form, I want the checkbox to be CHECKED.
But I want this to happen as records are added or deleted from the sub-form. In other words, if the parent form is opened and no records exist in the subform then the checkbox should be unchecked. But as soon as the first record has been entered in the subform, the checkbox on the parent form should be checked. Likewise, as soon as the last record has been revoved from the sub-form, the checkbox on the parent form should be unchecked.
What code do I need to accomplish all of this?
I have a subform that has two fields one called 24 months(date field) and one called status(text field), what I am trying to do is after the suborm has been filtered if the date field and is <=date then it will place "expired" into the status text field.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a form [Art_DepartmentFilter] that has a subform [Art_ByRoomSubform]. The linked master/child fields are DeptID and RoomID.
There is a list box on the form that allows you to select the department, and this also updates a list box that shows the rooms in that department that have art in them.
I would like the user to be able to filter the form to show either all of the art in that department, or just the art in the specific room. I have two separate buttons, one for each filter (cmdDeptFilter, and cmdRoomFilter).
I realized I had to add the link for the RoomID in order to get the filter for the room to work (which it does nowoCmd.ApplyFilter , "[qry_artbyroom]![DeptID]=[forms]![art_departmentfilter]![textdeptid] and [qry_artbyroom]![roomid]=[forms]![art_departmentfilter]![textroomid]").
However, DoCmd.ApplyFilter , "[qry_artbyroom]![DeptID]=[forms]![art_departmentfilter]![textdeptid] and [qry_artbyroom]![roomid] like '*'" returns just the first room listed for the department, not all of the rooms.
How can I show all of the rooms for the department selected?
I am currently developing a crude Contact manager database and need a quick way of entering data into a selection of records (around 1000 at a time). At the moment I am manually going through all records and changing the "DateLastEmail" field manually, which can be very tiring.
Any way to assign a button to change the field for all records to today's date or something of the like.
Currently I have a form which filters my subform. The subform resides as a seperate query and when the "Apply Filter" button is pressed it requeries with a change of .filter property, so I guess that all that needs to be done is to change all records that exist within the query, but I am stuck on a way to do this without manually entering it.
I have a form with a subform. In the form header I have combo boxes for the user to filter data. I want to add a button that they would click to export the filtered records to a table. I have the following code and get the message that records were exported successfully but when I open the table they are not there. I don't get any errors when I compile the code but I also don't get any results in the immediate window either.

So within the form budget I have a subform which I want to group the categories and get a total value. THE tricky part is, I only want it to include values from the budget specified in the form and the date range of the form.
I have faced with a problem while i was filtering my main form.....my problem is when i filter the main or parent form the related sub-form also gets filtered how to manage the main form so that when i filter it the sub-form should not be filtered so that i can get the related record to my filtered one in the sub-form... as for the time being when i filter the main form the related record in the sub-form is not shown and when i press unfiltered on the sub-form its data gets appeared....

In my main form I have various calculations which calculates the data from the subform (when auto-filtered). What I am trying to do is count the distinct [Call Number] reflecting the data from the subform into a textbox in the main form (when subform is auto-filtered).

I have a form with subform (datasheet) .
On my subform i have one field which shows the
productId ( which is filtered from combo boxes on main form) .
productId contains two columns
1 bound column(id) ( hidden with width 0 )
2 column (desription) ( shown with width 2 )
Now after entering the data when i come back to the form again . It hides the data from the productId field on subform , because data in combo box (on main form) doesn't match. Although the row is showing up , only the text in field (productId) is hidden.
Now when i change data in combo box on main form to match the ProductId , then the productId field text shows again. after changing combo box it hides . What i need is the existing data should not hide when i change the combo box selection.

I have a subform in datasheet view. In the main form I have various combo boxes to filter the data in the subform. I want to be able to check off the checkbox in the subform then filter all records that are checked, however, I am not able to check any of the checkboxes when I'm in my main form.
Example:
Sales Region, Order Date, are two fields
I can go in and select "north", "5/20/2013" then filter and let's say I get 55 records
So within the north region on 5/20/2013 I only want to select 5 of the 55 records by checking them off in the subform then in the main form I would drop down the unbound combo box to 'yes' and it would give me all records in the 'north' region with an order date of '5/20/2013' that I checked which should be 5 in this case. But, it won't let me check the box in the subform.
I have a continuous subform linked in a data query, I added some check box to select for each record. However, everytime I check a checkbox, it also check the same checkbox on the next record.
My check box consists of Shipping options - FEDEX, COURIER and HAND DELIVERY. These are the options I need to check for each records in the subform.

What I'm trying to is, on the Main form type in a statement date in textbox [TxtStatementDate].
I have a checkbox on my subform [ReconciledYN], along with a textbox [TxtReconcileDateSub]. when I click the checkbox, it simply pulls the date from the mainform and populates the date in the subform.
I've even tried experimenting on a simple form (with no subform) to see whats going on, but still I can't get it to work, even on a simple event such as this...

I'm trying to create a form to link data. I'll give you an example..I have 25 football teams and 100 players. I want to link 4 to 7 players to each football team. Those players can be repeated in different teams.
I wish to do it with a form where I choose the team first (combobox) and then I select the players in the subform. The point here is that I want to choose the players via a checkbox and I want to see all players in that subform too.

I need to make a form that lists 120 checkboxes and then adds an associated value to get a total.I have a table with Description field (i.e. aspirin) and a Points field (i.e.2). I need to make a subform that shows 120 checkboxes and when the user checks the boxes the associated points are totaled.
I have tried using a default value for each checkbox which works except I can't get the subform to add a new record when I move to the next mainform record.how to make a form where I can see all 120 items and give the use a choice to check 1 or all of them and get a total?
Hello I'm at a loss on how to get this to work.
I have a check box and I want it to show a picture if it is checked and hide the
picture if it not checked.
I dont know where to put it either, do I put it in the form load procedure or in
the checkbox procedure?
Basically I want the user to check the box if it is needed and when they open
it later they will see the checked box and the picture.
Here is what I am messing with.

I have a Continuous subform based on a query based on few linked tables.One of those tables has a Yes/No field which shows in the subform.
I want to be able to change the status of this field for each record independently, so I placed an unbound check box in the subform Detail section and a Command button on the subform Header section. However when I click one record check box, all of them change, I did not expect that. How do I move forward to get this done?
I am trying to create a medical records inventory. We have physical charts which each have a barcode and I have a scanner. The idea is to have employees who want to check the chart out scan their barcode (on their badge), scan the chart's barcode and leave.
I have a table called tblCharts with the fields: ID (primarykey which is also the chart number), a checkbox, Employee ID, Date, and Time checked out.
I have Employee ID linked to my tblEmployees that simply has a listing of the employee ID's and first and last names.
I don't care about keeping a record of who has had the chart in the past.
I just can't figure out how to tell the checkbox to be checked (to indicate the chart is out) when a number is added to the ID field (via scanner).
So here's how it would go:
Scan the chart's barcode which would populate into the ID field. Search to see if the record with the same number is already existing, if not create a record. IF it does exist, check to see if the checkbox is checked. If it is checked then the chart is being checked back in (so uncheck the box). If it is not checked to begin with (still in), then check it out and associate the employee's scanned barcode with it.
I have a form with 22 subforms (in about 11 tabs). Each one of these subforms has a controlling field in the main form (table) that dictates if the associated subform needs to comply with data entry rules or not.
For example:
Field in main form cboMed (Yes; No)
Subform: frmSubMeds has a list of medications
I want to be able to loop through all the records of the subform and determine if they are complete.
This check is run from a command button; that should also consider the value in the combo box. i.e. Check only if the combo has a value of "Yes"
Since i have 22 subforms and have to run the check on everyone of them, i have used the tag property to check if the record is blank or not. This is what i have so far

The problem with this is that it only looks for the selected record in the subform and doesnt look for ALL the records.
I'm trying to find a code that will allow me to check a value of a yes/no checkbox based on a username.
What I want to happpen is:
1. The code looks to see if the username that is entered in "txtUsername" field on the form matches the "empUsername" value on the table "tblUsers."
2. If there is a match, I want it to look at the value for the field "Admin" on "tblUsers" to see if the value is checked as true.
3. If the value is true, I want it to open a specific form "frmAdmin." If it is false, I want it to open a form "frmMain."
VBA codes not recognizing the Admin field and instead taking all users into the frmMain.
I have a parent form and connected to it is a subform. On the parent form I have a checkbox which enables and disables fields on the parent form and also hides the subform.
