I need to make an order purchase form like i have customer table and product table, i want to make a form which creates order for a specific customer and I can add as much items as i want and than calculate auto the total price, and an option to make a report for it.
I have an order database Access 2000 for an inspection company, tblInspectors, tblOrders, tblCustomers, I want to be able to calculate inspector pay within order database. Each inspector is an independent contractor, so it just needs to calculate percentage, for each inspection performed and total for pay period. Each inspector is paid a different percentage, which is stored in tblInspectors. Payroll is paid every two weeks . . . I've been trying to figure out the best way to do this ... Any advise be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to create a report where I can use a section header as a hyperlink to show/hide detail, but only for that section. For example, my customer names are:
Code: ABC Co. ZYX Co. 123 Co.
If I click on ZYX Co., I want it to show the contracts for ONLY that customer:
I'm curious if anyone know's a way to access a specific data section on a tabular form. I'm attempting to have each section update a specific data item based on its position on the form, but am having problems since I do not know how to differentiate between one details section and another on the form. Any help would be appreciated.
I have set up a split database and it seems to work perfectly. I have created a report on each users FE and this works fine. It inputs their own contact details on the report. This was done manually before sending the FE to the user just using ="text here" in the design of the form.
What I want to do is add an extra field to the table (and link to this via the form each user has) and have this populated automatically with the users name. This is so we can see at a glance which user added which record.
Is there a way to have this happen or would it be a case of having to pick your own username from a combo box? Can I do something with each users FE form which will add their name when they add a record?
On it, there is a subform called 'patient' - this has a number of subforms in the detail section (Linked on a one-to-one key).
When the patient form loads, I hide the detail section until a user either
A. Finds an existing client record or B. Clicks the 'ADD NEW' button
The ADD NEW button opens a separate (pop up) form where the primary patient information is gathered. When the user clicks "Save" on the pop up, my VBA script ...
A. Creates all the one-to-one relationships that are required. B. Updates the 'Find Patient' field to the newly created patient number C. Finds the new record D. Un-hides the detail section (This is what I cant get to work)
The rationale for hiding the detail section in the first place? The answer is twofold.
1. If the user simply creates an new patient, the three actions (A, B C above) don't always run/display the data properly. (Im not sure why? ) The pop up form seems to be a good working solution for me. 2. My users have a tendency to change data on the default patient. I have tried going to new record, but then they add new (often duplicate) patient records.
I am a novice ACCESS user, so my questions may be elementary. In Access 2007, I have a query that presents the user with a list of the contacts he/she is approved to access. I want the user to be able to "drill down" to the detail form for a specific contact by double clicking on his last name, but I have not been able to find a property sheet for the last name field in the query to which I can apply the code.
I have a combo box and button on a form that should open another form and display the results in a datasheet view filtered by the combo box selection. The second form is based on a query that has the following criteria in the JobType field:
Code: Form!frmReportView!cboType
When I run the query it correctly prompts me to enter a value for the criteria and displays the proper results. Likewise, the same thing occurs when I run the second form independently. The problem is when I try to run it with the combo box and button. The second form opens in a datasheet view with the headings, but no detail records are being displayed.
I have a bound form which shows list of items in the stock. When i click on a button it should open another form which shows the details of item which we choose from the first form.the code which i have in click event of the form is :
Code: Dim strCrit As String strCrit = "PkID=" & Me.RadStocks DoCmd.OpenForm "frmIssueRadItems", , , strCrit
It works sometimes but most of the time it gives error saying " syntax error(missing operator) in query expression 'PkID=Airmux 200E DC".
" Is it possible to toggle the visibility of a picture on a form's detail section for each row based on a query whether a certain condition is met? "
I have a form, which fetches data from a database and populates the content as a number of rows in the detail section.
For each row I want to test if a certain 'yes/no' condition is met on each query and the toggle the visibility on a picture that I have placed in the detail section.
I've tried seveal possible solutions now, like macros and VBA but haven't got it working.
i removed the DIsTINCT in my query to move some field to be updateable on the form. Once I did that my detail section of my form was empty ..why and how do I fix this problem.
I created a search form. It has 6 unbound text boxes and 2 combo boxes in the header. Users can select values from the combo boxes and/or enter names in the other text boxes. These values all go into a filter on my Main table and the filtered results show up in the detail section. That used to work fine.
Now, I've been trying to convert the filter into a query and show the query results in the detail section instead. (Why? Because of the ever-changing business requirements, of course!)
For some reason, the detail section went blank. All white. When I change the Data Entry property to No, it fixes that.
However, the text boxes for entering the search criteria will not accept any values anymore. It's like they are disabled.
When I change Data Entry property to Yes, I can enter text into the text boxes again. But the detail section blanks out again.
I have a database of high-school football players, and I am looking to print out single page reports (or forms) that will show detail from several tables and queries. This will act as their resume when they visit schools on recruiting visits. The reason for needing query items, is that I have developed queries that return the most up to date height, weight, 40 time etc., and that single most up to date number is what should print, not the entire table. When I try to build a report it will let me bring in multiple tables, but not queries.
I have a form with 2 sub forms and when I tab through the first form (the container) and get to the last record, the cursor pops into the first sub form which is just what I want, however when I then get to the bottom of the first sub form and tab to the next sub form but it doesn't work, what does happen is that the cursor goes back to the begining of the first sub form.
I have been testing various combinations of the cycle option but none of these got it working and I've gone through the tab stop / tab index and everything looks ok there.
I can move from the first sub form to the second by pressing ctrl + tab but was wondering if there's a work around so only the tab has to be pressed?
I have a database of spare parts and I want to calculate the price of the whole warehouse.I have managed to do [quantity]*[price] in a subform but now I want to sum all and show the result in textbox.
Is there any way to change the order that the tab button cycles through the different fields in a form? Right now mine jumps ALL over the place and in some case even misses a field.
I have a problem with calculating sum of fields in the footer of subform
The subform consists of following 5 fields Opis kolicina txtCena rabat CenaSpop
Opis is combobox (cbododatki), which takes values from another table (tbldodatki) SELECT DISTINCT [IDdodatki], [Opis], [Cena] FROM tbldodatki ORDER BY [Opis]; Kolicina is enetered manually Rabat is entered manually Cena is calculated with =cbododatki.column(2) Cenaspop is a calculation of [kolicina]*[txtCena]*(1-[rabat])
In such case i cant get Access to calculate the Sum in the footer of the subform
On the other hand, if i add an additional column to the source table (tblPodrobNaroc) of this subform (frmPodrobNaroc) where i enter Cena manually (instead of only being part of cbododatki), then all calculations are fine.
Which option do you reccomend, should i:
a) add to the source table of subform (tblPodrobNaroc) another column with values of Cena from tbldodatki (how is that done?), which would be filled in through cbododatki, and then perform needed calculations b) call Cena in subform in such way that the Access recognizes it (not as cbododatki.column type) and performs the calculation.
I have looked all over for a way to calculate the difference between water meeter readings. My brain may be Friday slow, but all I can find is for calculating differences in dates. My water table has 3 fields: ReadDate, Reading, Calc1
ReadDate is the date the water reading occurred Reading is the meter reading Calc1 is calculated (when I find out how!) by subtracting the current reading from the previous day's reading.
I would like to add the write script in my form so when the readings are entered, the calculation auto populates the field for the user.
This is related to "Old_value, new_value" thread I posted yestarday (Module&VBA).
I have a problem i missed yestarday. The code it's vorking great, but it allways takes the showed new_value and makes it old_value for the new record, and this is a problem, because the showed record is not the last for that customer. So, I was thinking that if I make a new Autonumber field in my table, I could sort descending the values and this way the input form will allways show me the last entered data for that person. As I noticed from a long time ago, if I sort a table that allready has a form, the form won't show the records sorted. Why? It's necessary to make the form again? I tried to order the data on the form from Properties window ->Data->Order by, but the ordering is Ascending and I need it Descending! Can enybody help me?
I have a graph on my form, an Update/Refresh button, and a textbox that display a calculted value.
The textboxes controlsource is "=GetMyValue()"
Now when I click the Update button on the form, I would like to have the graph to refresh first, and then the textbox should update its value by running the GetMyValue function. But it works the other way around.
I've even tried to reset and set the textbox controlsource in the click event but it still get's preference above the refresh of the graph.
I have a continuous form with a bound subform in the footer section. Is there a way (with VBA?) to set the tab order so that it tabs down to the subform in the footer after a few controls in the main form and then back to the main form after going through the subform?
Also I have a form with a subform in datasheet view. Can I have the tab order set so that it tabs through a few fields in the datasheet view, expands the subdatasheet and allows you to tab through it, then tab back to the main datasheet?
I want users to fill out a few fields in the main form, go the subform easily, enter the data there, then go back to the main form easily and enter the rest of the data before going to the next record in the main form.
