Forms :: Opening Report To Unique Date

I want to tweak an existing form that currently allows me to generate a report based on a name and date selected.
The issue now is that there are some records that have the same date and I want to be able to generate a report on them seperately.
i.e. Jane has 2 records for December 5 with unique ID's
Right now when I generate the report it goes by the date and so I have both records.
To open the report I have this right now:
DoCmd.OpenReport "SelectPSReport", acViewPreview, , "[PS_Agent]='" & Me.CboAgt & "' And [PS_dDate]=#" & Me.Cbodt.Column(1) & "#"
How do I now get the report to generate off the ID and not the date?
No sure if it matters, but my form is populated by choosing a name in a combo box then the date in another combo box. Its the date combo that finds the record for the form.

trying to get something working on a form. When creating a new client, due to privacy, we have to create a Unique ID for each one. The ID consists of their initials, the year, a serial number and the location. I have it mostly working except for the year. Let me show you what I have and the results, then what I would like the results to be.
In the control Source of the text box is:
=Left([FName],1) & "" & Left([LName],1) & "-" & [Forms]![frm_20_Enter_New_Client_Info_01]![NICN_Date] & "-" & [Forms]![frm_20_Enter_New_Client_Info_01]![NICN_Serial] & "-" & [Forms]![frm_20_Enter_New_Client_Info_01]![Combo1]
Form Input:
FName = John
LName = Smith
Date = 2014 (Using Date format and 'YYYY') and default Now()
Combo1 = NW
Results: JS-4/2/2014 9:32:51-18-NW
Desired Results: JS-2014-18-NW
So everything is working but I'm getting the entire and I just want the year.

I have two pop up forms called "frmRepair" and "frmPaid" with a button that opens another popup form called "frmLabels". This final form has a button to print a report with the following code:

DoCmd.OpenReport "rptlblCombined", acViewPreview, , "CallID=" & Me.CallID
The problem is that when this report opens, it is always behind frmRepair or frmpaid and frmLabels so it can't be seen.
I tried to use the popup and modal properties on the report, but this does not seem to do what I need.
My next step was to hide frmRepair or frmPaid when frmLabels loaded and then hide frmLabels when I was printing the report, but the problem is that when the report closes I need to also close frmLabels (easy) but then I need to make visible either frmRepair or frmPaid, depending on which one was used to open frmLabels. How can I do that? How do I know which one of the two forms opened frmLabels to make it visible again?
What are my options to have that report open on top of everything?

I can open a report right with a wherecondition that opens a report based on an agent name..
DoCmd.OpenReport "SelectPSReport", acViewPreview, , "[PS_Agent]='" & Me.CboAgt & "'"
But it returns every record for that agent and I want to be able to specify the date that goes with the name.
For example Tom has a record for Feb 10, Jan 10, and Dec 13. I only want to see the record for Dec 13.
I am able to see this in my form by having a combo box for the agent and the date (the date box being based on the agent box). So now how can I add a condition to include the date combo box?
DoCmd.OpenReport "SelectPSReport", acViewPreview, , "[PS_Agent]='" & Me.CboAgt & "' And [PS_dDate]='" & Me.Cbodt & "'"
Adding the condition gives me and type mismatch error, which I think may come down to the date combo box on the form having 3 columns (only 1 is visible).

I have a report that runs a parameter query identifying which StudentID it wants to run the report of, and what month/year.I want to leave the month/year as a parameter, but what I want to do is get the record that I selected from the listbox (IE. student 1000) and then when I click on Run Report Card, it wouldn't ask me for the parameter of the student, but just the year, and then it would run the report card for the student I selected.
I tried doing the open report macro and in the where row I put
[StudentID] = [Forms]![Form1]![List12]
but it didn't seem to work.

I have a main form (ZooMobile Booking Form-New Client) with a subform (ZooMobile Event Booking-New Client) within it. In the main form I have a button to open up a report displaying the main form's current record.
The report that is opened has a subreport that needs to display the current record from the subform.
So far I've managed to get the report to open to the main form's record using the following On_click command:
DoCmd.OpenReport "ZooMobile Billing Invoice", acViewPreview, , "[Client_ID]=Forms![ZooMobile Booking Form-New Client].CustIDTxt"
I can't manage to get the subreport to open to the current record in the subform, however. I've tried to integrate it into the above event and to use On_load events in the report and subreport but everything either comes up as a bug or has no effect on the subreport's record.

I have a form that contains a subform. The subform is a datasheet which calls the results of a query of 4 tables (tbl_companies, tbl_deals, tbl_products, tbl_vl).
In the main form there is a button which opens a report with a historical record of dates of value changes of each product up to a chosen date. This chosen date is determined by inputting a date into a text box.
This report also sources (tbl_companies, tbl_deals, tbl_products, tbl_vl).
When I try to open the report, I get the run-time error "3211".
'The database engine could not lock the table "Tbl_companies" because its already in use by another person or process.'
I'm guessing that because the query for the subform is already calling the table, the query for the report can't call the table at the same time?

I have a Form opening from Access Options. I would like to close this Form using the Timer. The following is the code I have used but it is not working.

My database holds details of visits made to customers by support staff.
I am running a query which returns details of the last visit made to a customer as below with results displayed on a webpage.
SELECT Visits.Date1, customers.CustID AS customers_CustID, customers.Customer, Visits.CustID AS Visits_CustID, Visits.Visitee, Visits.VisitType, customers.RegionID, customers.NextVisit, customers.NextVisitBy, customers.Confirmed
FROM customers INNER JOIN Visits ON customers.CustID = Visits.CustID
WHERE (((Visits.Date1)=(SELECT MAX (Visits2.Date1) FROM Visits AS Visits2 WHERE Visits2.CustID = Visits.CustID)))
ORDER BY customers.RegionID, customers.CustID
SELECT MAX on Date1 is used to select the most recent (largest) date. The problem I have is that if 2 different staff members visit the same customer on the same day, the query logically returns 2 MAX date results for that customer, whereas I only want 1 result per customer. As the dates are the same I am not sure how to proceed. It doesn't matter which of the 2 results are returned. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance :)
ps - I can't perform MAX on the VisitID as the support staff don't always enter the visit data in the correct order meaning that an older visit date might have a higher VisitID than a more recent visit.

I have a large query that has information from accounts sorted by date, account repeat but they are always associated with a different date. I'd like to create a report where each date has it's own column with an associated field displayed as the information in the column. However, as data is added to the table I'd prefer to do it without having to make a query to filter each date each time information is added.
The information is added in bulk with all the same dates, so ALL accounts (excluding newly opened accounts that may have no information with a certain date) should have information for each date - there will not be single accounts with their own date. For example: An account numbered 12345 with data of 57% on 1/2/13, 63% on 6/2/13, and 89% on 12/2/13. I'd like each of the dates to have their own column, with the account numbers as the row and the percent data to show under the date they are associated with. how to manage this in a report, or if it is possible.

Hi. Back again with a badly designed number of tables that I inherited.
Anyway...
I have 20 tables each with an ID field and a dozen-or-so text fields. - (I planned on using a master report with sub-reports, but perhaps I am ahead of myself here.)
I need the user to enter the ID and a value which would only appear in one of the dozen+ fields for that record, in that table.
I set up queries with parameters for the ID and the desired text value.
However, when run, I get the correct client record, but also all of the fields for that record... Not only the field with the desired value.
Is there a 'simple' way to do this knowing ho wmany possible fields froma ll of the tavbles would have to be searched? And not all tables have the same field names!

I have a report. behind that report is a query.
The query returns the parts used for each job. This could be 1 to many, so I get 1 to many rows returned in the query for each job. There can be a number of jobs to a work schedule (I'll call this WS). Each job is for a particular model. So I bascially have
WS1 JOB1 MODELx PART1
WS1 JOB1 MODELx PART2
WS1 JOB1 MODELx PART3
WS1 JOB1 MODELx PART4
WS1 JOB2 MODELw PART7
WS1 JOB2 MODELw PARt8
WS1 JOB3 MODELx PART5
WS1 JOB3 MODELx PART6
I want to count the number of jobs each model appears in ie MODELx appears in 2 jobs, MODELw appears in 1 job.
I've read DCOUNT can eliminate duplicates but I can't see how to use it to do so.
I have (general gist)
DCOUNT("model number"."query","model number" = [model num])

I have a report which is based on a query. The query combines information from TBLDwgReg and TBLDwgRegDtls. The unique field linking these two tables is DrawingNo. The query - QRYDtldDwgReg - is showing 99% of the information I want to see.
My problem is this - one drawing can be revised several times. I have my report grouped by IssuedBy and then grouped by DrawingNo. In the group footer for IssuedBy I want to count the number of drawings issued by a particular consultant. For example...the structural engineer has issued 17 drawings for a particular project but when I do a count it is returning a total 27 because some of those drawings have been revised.
I tried grouping in the query and counting the DrawingNo field there but that's not working either.

Hi
I have a table called SWAPS which contains information on each user and the different equipment he has been issued. Query at the moment contains 5 fields
Payroll, Surname, Firstname, Mobile No and Date sent.
SQL for this query is as follows
Select Swaps.PR, Swaps.surname,swaps.firstname,swaps.[mobile no],Max(Swaps,[Date Sent] as Lastdate
From Swaps
Group by swaps.pr, swaps.surname,swaps.firstname,swaps.[mobile no]
Order by swaps.pr;
Now when I run this I get the results I want by date so I get
123456 Smith Fred 0788411025 12/3/8
456789 West Bob 012555447854 13/1/8
So it correctly ids all the last dates for me as I want to see the latest issue date for that user. Now I want to add in another column to this query which contains the serial number of the equipment issued and heres where the problem lies. If a user has been issued more than 1 piece of kit, I get all the serial numbers irrespective of date. How do I get it to display the serial number for the latest date?

I have a rental database and I print several contacts for leases etc. what I want to do is have a unique reference number or something inserted to the report every time that it's printed. What I am trying to achieve is to keep track of which tenant corresponds to the report (Lease) printed by using reference number.
There is a seperate form which holds the tenants details and I would like to have a field on that form which would show the same reference number as the report so I can track which report was printed for who.
Whats the best/easiest way to accomplish this?

I get an error stating you entered in either the property sheet or macro is misspelled or refers to a report that doesn't exist.

To prevent duplicate records, I use multiple fields indexes, which worked fine until now. I learned that each "empty" fields are consider unique by Access, so not the best in an index to prevent duplicate records. I managed to have it worked using the default value property to give each "empty" records the same value.
Now my problem is that I have a date field which is optional, but I need to use it as a unique identifier in an index. I could again use a default value, but since it has to be a date, I find it confusing. I would rather have a default value of "No date specified" or "-" or even better, "". Unfortunately none of those works with date fields.

I have a form in Datasheet view and when you click on a record in that form I want it to take you to a report with all the details of that record number. I have the On Click event set to run a Macro. The Macro is as follows:

Filter Name Open
Where Condition =[Event ID]=[Reports]!Incident Report]![Event ID]
Window Mode Normal
This Where Condition works for me open another form from the form with the same Event ID. Why does it come to a "new" Incident on the report?

I have a set of transactions with a Unique ID field and a date. I want to add a field based that gives me the sequence of events for each Unique ID in order of when it happened.
For example, if customer X has 6 transactions, the sequence field would have a number (1-6) in each record that corresponds to the order in which those transactions occurred. The first transaction would have the number 1, the second would have the number 2 and so on.
