I'm trying to develop a form that opens when you select a tab from another form. The first form would contain Standard Instructions (from a table) and the second form would have a Memo Field for special instructions. The user wants to be able to click a check box for each standard special instruction and when they close the first form all the check standard instructions to update the special instructions memo field on the second form. I'm thinking I have to set up a loop to go thru all records when the first form is closed. Any ideas on how this would work best?

I have hit a roadblock trying to send data to excel. I have created a table of Arrays where each record has an ArrayID, a record ID, an X unit and a Y unit. I want to be able to pick an ArrayID from a form and send the corresponding X and Y values to excel as part of a Linest calculation.

On the form: User enters first name, then last name. Upon updating the last name field, I would like another form to pop-up and display all the people with that same first name and last name that the user just entered.
On the pop-up form: All of the matching first names/last names are listed with a button control beside each record that says 'Select'. The user clicks the select button beside the record he/she wants. This pop-up form closes and all of the data from this selected record is now showing on the original form.
So far, I have a query/form that pops up only showing the matching first/last names. I'm having a hard time getting my original form to auto-populate with that record that the user selects on the pop-up.
(Also my main form is actually a sub-sub form - so in my trials I could've been massacring my syntax trying to point to it.)

I am using Access 2010 and I want to be able to open a blank email addressed to the contact I am viewing in my Access form. I have been successful in creating a button which opens Outlook, but I don't know what code to put in the 'To' field of the EmailDatabaseObject page so that it picks up the email address of the contact I am looking at.

I'm in desperate need of a (simple I guess) code to allow me to send records from my listbox to a new form. Scenario goes as follows:
I use cascading combo boxes to narrow my available choices and finally end up with a listbox presenting the records filtered through cascading process. Now, I want to double-click on a record and load a new form with all this record's fields.
This is the code used to populate the listbox:
Private Sub FilterTypeList()
Dim strRS As String
' Filter the list box appropriately based on the combo box selection(s)
strRS = "SELECT qryTaxonomy.Type, qryTaxonomy.Article FROM qryTaxonomy"
[Code] ....
What is the code to open a form with the double-clicked record's fields, as described above?

I've created a button on my ACCESS 2010 form that will send a PDF via email. However I only need to send the single record displayed on the form not all records.
The on click command of the button sends the PDF of the report. (I read that this is what should be sent; but still get the same results.)
I don't understand how and where to attach VBA code:
Me.Filter = "RequestsID=" & Forms![OD Reversal Requests]![RequestsID]
Me.FilterOn = True

I have a project which produces a report of names, addresses, etc. I added a print button to the form to send the report to the printer. The code is as follows:
Private Sub Command32_Click()
Docmd.SetWarnings False
'Docmd.OpenReport "rptAddresses", acViewNormal
Docmd.RunCommand acCmdPrint
Docmd.SetWarnings True
End Sub
Both alternatives in the code produce the same result described following.However, the printed report includes only the first 2 colums of about 10 of the 90 plus records. If I send to to a PDF, it works fine. If I do a print view on the screen ir looks fine.

I need to pull the calculated values from approximately 10 forms into another form. This is a summary form that should have all the totals pulled from the other forms.e.g. Form A has a textbox that reflects the sum of the amount. This is the total balance of form A.Form B, Form C, etc. all have a total Balance.Now, i need to pull all these totals into a summary form
-Form A Total Balance: x
-Form B Total balance: y, and so forth.
How and what is the best method to approach?I have tried using Forms![Formname]![Total] to get the data. This necessitates the need to hide all these forms and I ended up with blank forms, etc.Even so, the total sometimes appear and sometimes it does not. so it is very unstable.

Have one form that contains values AssociatedProject and AssociatedRelease that need to be passed onto another form that opens with a new record. Have tried different variations based on what I read here and couldn't get them to work.
Initial form - frm_ViewList contains the values that I need to pass on and has a "Add" button to bring up the new form that also creates a new record. The add button contains the following:
Dim stDocName As String
MyAssociatedProject = Me.AssociatedProject
MyAssociatedRelease = Me.AssociatedRelease
stDocName = "Frm:ManageQuestionsAnswersProc"
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, acNormal
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
Then in the second form Frm:ManageQuestionsAnswersProc the following code is contained in the Before Insert:
Me.AssociatedProject = MyAssociatedProject
Me.AssociatedRelease = MyAssociatedRelease

I have a data input form with multiple combo boxes. The combo boxes are related to their own separate tables. The Row Source on some of the combo boxes are from queries with concatenated fields.
Not sure the best way to be able to quickly/simply input new values into the appropriate tables from here.
I've attached a screenshot of my form.

I have "LossForm" to record loss of inventory items due to damage, theft, etc. It has "Loss Subform" for input of multiple items. The row has a calculated field "TotalLoss" (from qty * itemcost). The footer of subform has unbound text field =Sum(nz([TotalLoss])). This all works fine. The problem I have is that I need to pass the total to another form. I want to have a pop-up form to use some of the field values from the Loss form. I have been able to pass all of the field values except for the TotalLoss.
LossForm Close Event: "DoCmd.OpenForm "Journal", , , , acFormAdd, , Me.LossID & ";" & Me.LossDate
pop up form:
Set frmPrevious = Screen.ActiveForm
Me.TransactionID = frmPrevious.LossID
Me.EntryType = "Loss"
Me.Date = frmPrevious.LossDate
{ Me.Amount = frmPrevious.TotalLoss doesn't work }
DoCmd.Save
End Sub
I also tried to setup a global, class, and module variable but keep getting error message of undefined variable.

I'm making a very basic sales system for my school project and I'm currently working on the stock management part, as I said it's very basic.
My task -When the user receives a stock delivery they need to update the stock numbers. the value they need to update is the StockNumber value in the Products table. to so this I want to make a form that displays all the product names in a table with a textbox or cell next to it in which the user can enter the amount of that item that has been delivered. And at the bottom of the form there is a button which will add all these new values to the existing values.
1. There is no set number of products, the user is able to add new ones, this is preventing me from just making a separate textbox for each existing product
2. I have attached a jpeg I made in paint to illustrate how I want to the form to work as well as my system as it currently stands, there are a few unused forms and queries.

I am trying to have a field auto sum if specific values come up within a form. The form is a survey. Total all number zeros, total all 1's, 2's etc. so that I get a discrete value total for each option.
Ex.
Q1) 1 Q9) 0
Q2) 1 Q10) 1
Q3) 0 Q11) 2
Q4) 2
Q5) 1
Q6) 1
Q7) 3
Q8) 1
Total Number occurrences
Total 0's= 2
Total 1's= 6
Total 2's= 2
Total 3's= 1
Each question in the above example is a field within the same Form. Each total is its own field.

I have a database and on the main table one of the columns is "Status". The values in that column can be either "Worked, Unworked, or Overdue".
I would like to be able to create a form so that the user can run a query and select which Status' they want to see. For example maybe they only want to see Unworked and Overdue so they can select those and run the query.

In the detail of the parent form, there is a tab control block and each has subforms on them that are exactly alike for WorkOrder Notes, History, Specs When the Work Order subform is accessed (connected by SerialNumber, WorkOrderID and CertDate) the default WorkOrderID should default from the parent form, the SerialNumber should default from the parent form, and the CertDate should also default from the parent form.
What is the syntax to get these fields to default to the values parent form BUT not specifically referencing the name of the parent (because there are 5 differnt parent forms)?

How can I send data (in this case, a registrationID) from form1 to form2?I would like to do it in a button click event (that opens form2, the button is placed on form1) like this: form2.textbox.value = ID, but it doesnt work. Any suggestions?I am fairly new to Access (but familiar with VB in Visual Studio 6)I plan to open form2 from form1 by clicking a button, i guess its therefore no "subform".Thanks for your help !

I created a form with subforms that are all linked to their own tables. Values that are entered in to the form (i.e. just numbers or names) all save into the tables as I would expect; HOWEVER, all of my value lists (0,1,2 or 1-5) do not. I can change the values in the forms and as long as I am toggling between them they appear in the form but they are not populating the tables.
Other details. They are defined as numbers in the property table, I did change them to a value list in the form properties and did assign values to the property list.
I looked through some other threads that seemed similar but the solutions didn't apply. Because the straight up data entry saves, I feel like it is something specific to me creating those value lists...

So I'm working on something for housing. Each house has a "Property Reference". This property reference links to all other information on the property.
There's two tables, Referral (For a tenant, with the Property Reference as a foreign key) and PropertyInfo (Holding all the property information)
Basically I want to save users as much input time as possible, so I'd prefer if they could just enter the property reference for a person, and that populates the rest of the table.
I'm currently using DLookup on the main form where it displays the information related to the property reference, obviously it's not actually being saved into any fields.
Will this method be okay if I would want to search the records by the address on the main form?
