Forms :: Timeline ActiveX - Display Records With Date-Time Field

Jul 27, 2013

Component that is capable of putting a timeline on an Access form and displaying records with a date-time field.

What I want, is for example:

tabevents contains two basic fields:

eventtime (datetime)
eventname (string)
eventcomplete (bool)

What I want to place on the form is a visual timeline which calculates the time between the first and last event and places all events accordingly along the line, spaced out, ideally with an arrow/marker that moves along the line as time progresses, highlighting any events that haven't been marked as complete. Double clicking on the event would allow us to mark it as complete.

I know this is a long shot, but thought it worth seeing if such a thing exists.

Forms :: Display Date And Time Based On When Record Was Created

Jun 30, 2013

I have set up a form and only want to display the date and time that will appear automatically based on when the record was created. I definitely don't know how to do this.

The format that I'm looking for is: 07/24/13 11:45:44pm

From what I can see I would need two separate fields to accomplish this. I would prefer to only use one if possible. I would like to execute the value within the new record as it is entered. That date and time from that point should never change.

I will want to use the date and time in the future for quality control.

I have tried the format which does display just date but if you click on the field the time is also there You must be able to query for a date only and get all the records.

Forms :: Display All Records Based On Single Date

Oct 7, 2014

Is there a way to make a form that will display all records based on a single date, at the same time, in the same format each and every time?I have a table which has the following fields:

ID (Autonumber, PK)
ServiceDate
RunningNumber
BonnetNumber
Deallocate (yes/no)

Now, I would quite like to keep the form in a style similar to all the others I have, not least as I have to cater for users of all age and abilities, so keeping things as simple. I have attached an image - each row to represent a record basically, I would like the form to open and show the same layout on each day (I would place the textboxes etc in route groups); a null value would not be allowed for at least one field in each record, I could force the records to populate the form in the same way each day?

Forms :: Auto-populate Field With Date / Time In Future?

Dec 15, 2014

I'm currently building my first database for a research project. When we enroll a participant, we need to have an enrollment date/time as well as an activation date/time (and they are not allowed to be the same because, rules). I was able to figure out how to auto-populate the current date/time when we've marked a person as enrolled. What I'm wondering is if it is also possible to auto-populate another field with the date/time, ten minutes in the future?

Forms :: Setting Temporary Default Value For Date / Time Field

Jul 3, 2013

My setup:

frmUsedOilContract (contains a header and a subform)
subfrmUsedOilContract (contains a few controls) [datasheet view]

- Removed Date
- Voucher Number
- Building Number

I implemented some code so that a temporary default value could be set for the date and the Voucher Number. I also have the default value for 'txtRemovalDate' set at 'Date()'.

PHP Code:

Private Sub txtVoucherNumber_AfterUpdate()  'Set current value to default value.
txtVoucherNumber.DefaultValue = txtVoucherNumber.ValueEnd Sub

PHP Code:

Private Sub txtRemovalDate_AfterUpdate()  'Set current value to default value.
txtRemovalDate.DefaultValue = txtRemovalDate.ValueEnd Sub

Also have code so the default value is null when the form is opened.

PHP Code:

Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)  'Set Default Value properties to nothing.
txtVoucherNumber.DefaultValue = vbNullString  txtRemovalDate.DefaultValue = vbNullStringEnd Sub

This all works great until I try to change the date. If I use the default date (today's date), the new record will stay with today's date. If I change it to a different date, the new record displays a time instead.

Display Date And Time On A Form

Jun 28, 2005

hi, i have created a form and would like to display todays date and time in the following format

Mon 6 June 2005 24:00

this will literally be just on the form, no link to anything or any extra dynamic features. just there for the user's benefit

if anyone could tell me the steps that need to be taken, im guessing some formatting will need to be done, or some script will need to be placed in the form event code builder.
i have only recently focused my attention on ms access so a descriptive but to the point explanation will be ideal thanks

I have two fields in a form that are both bound to the same date/time control source. One is for the date, one for the time. Using the format and input mask properties is some help. But when the focus is on the field the entire date + time displays. I would like the date field to show just the date portion and the time to show just the time portion, but haven't figured out how yet.
thanks, roy

How Can I Display A Date And Time Next To Eachother In An Expression?

Feb 19, 2008

I want this expression to form a value of a field on a query...

I know that what I want is something like this:

arrangedActivityName: [activityDate]+", "+[activityTime]+", "+[activityId]+", "+[venueName]

When I do it though, its shows "#Error" in the field.

I'm guessing that its something to do with the fact that date and time are not strings or ints therefore cannot be displayed. How can I fix this?

Does anyone know how I can do it?

Thanks, Ant...

Queries :: Display Date And Time User Log On And Log Off

May 21, 2015

I would like to make a query that count simultaneous connection.

Here is my tables
Users (ID_User, Name)
Date_logon (Id_on, Date_logon, time_logon, Num_user#)
Date_logoff (Id_logoff, Date_logoff, time_logoff, Num_user#)

Here is a part of a query that display users date and time of log on and log off.

Users Date_logon Time_logon Date_logoff Time_logoff
Utilisateur1 13/05/2015 17:38:42 13/05/2015 18:52:15
Utilisateur2 13/05/2015 17:12:21 13/05/2015 17:30:24
Utilisateur3 13/05/2015 16:59:08 13/05/2015 17:16:06
Utilisateur4 13/05/2015 16:54:14 13/05/2015 18:32:13

Then I put that result in a pivot table in Excel. In line we have time logon by date and in column we have time logoff by date.

Here is the issue : In Excel for the 4 lines above, it counts 2 logon at 4PM and 2 logon at 5PM. We should have 4.

Display Fields As Column Showing Date One Month After The Date In Field Above

Jun 2, 2015

I am creating a repayment schedule (as a report) and I want to display a series of fields as a column which return (show) a date one month after the date in the field above.

The first repayment date field (Line 1) will show a date one month after the loan was paid out. the Next field below will show the date one month later.

I can't simply insert the "Date + 30" because that would get out of since over the year. If the loan was issued on say the 15th of January, I need the first field to display 15th February and the next would be .... 15th March.... Yes - You've got it!

Now I could do that in Excel, but I don't know how to get Access to do it.

Ignore Time In Date And Time Field

Mar 6, 2007

Hi,

Wonder if someone can help please. I'm quite new to Access so please bear with me.

I have a data field in my database consisting of both a date and time.

I then have a form containing two fields where the user can type a 'To' and 'From' date to extract the records that they are interested in. The query behind this uses the 'Between[Enter The Date] And [Enter The Date]' coding.

The problem is that because the field contains a time it doesn't return any records when I run the query.

Can anyone offer a bit of guidance on how I could ignore the time part of the field perhaps by adapting the above.

Many thanks

Chris

Sort By Time Only In A Date / Time Field

Mar 19, 2014

I have a column/field named [DateTaken] which contains test dates and times in the same cell. I am needing to find those with a test time less than 2:30 pm or <14:30pm.

data looks like this:

8/22/13 4:23 PM
1/29/14 12:21 PM
1/28/14 3:27 PM
8/26/13 4:27 PM

[code]....

this is what I have come up with to extract the time component of data set so that I can then later, sort it by the time in a query.

JustTime: TimeValue([YourField])
JustTime: ("hh:mm",([DateTaken])) and or ("hh:mm",[DateTaken])

I get either invalid operator or invalid syntax errors trying both of these.

Forms :: Assign Field With Special Format Based On Date / Time Format

Feb 17, 2014

I wanted to assign the field "Number of magazine" with special format based on date/time format but showing only year and month in the format: "yyyy-mm".

So in property of this field in format I put yyyy-mm and in input mask I type 0000-00;;-

I also created the form based on the table containing above field and I defined format and input mask for corresponding formant in the same way like at the table.

But if I try to type date for example 2014-01 in text box of the form it comes up with the full date 2014-01-01. Why does it do like this? What do I do incorrectly?
