I would like to create a command button on the header of a form. The button should perform a toggle switch: click once to activate the task and click it again returning original state. I can create the command button to perform a task but do not know how to return to original state. The button should have indicator showing which state is in.
Using a toggle box to ask the following question, i have data that contains either OPEN or CLOSED against each record. I tried using the following in the criteria for the specific data to either select all the OPEN records when the box is clicked and i would like to select all records OPEN and CLOSED when it is nto clicked
I have a form that contains a combo box, I used the access wizard to make this combo box select a record from a table of customers and display that record on the form.
The user then has the option to print that record.
This works fine.
I now want to be able use the same combo box but with a different table so I can select Records from a list of suppliers.
Is there a way I could use a toggle button to change the rowsource of the combo box and then use that same combo box to select records from my supplier table.
I am attempting to create a toggle on a form that would instruct a query which criteria to use.
Specifically they are date criteria. I want to be able to toggle between evaluating on a start basis verse a ship basis.
If the toggle is set to 'Start Date', the query would use the start date as its criteria. If the toggle is set to 'Ship Date" it would use the ship date.
The other complication is that within the query, "Start Date" and "Ship Date" are two separate fields always contained in the query, so how do I write the query so that it only applies criteria to the appropriate field based on the toggle setting?
I have a form with about 40 Toggle buttons on it. I want the form to populate from a table. This table stores the status from rooms.
My table name is [Room] Fields [Room] and [Room_Status]
I want to call the button BtnBS1 (Room BS1) and if the status for that room is occupied the button when loaded will be RED, and if it is available it must be green.
I want the form to be an graphical overview of what rooms are occupied and what rooms are available. By clicking on a green room I want another form to open to allow me to fill it with data.
I have a navigation form with a combo box. The combo box has a running list of manifest numbers. I select a manifest number, then click a button that brings up a new form with data related to the selected manifest.
However, I have to click and unclick the 'Toggle Filter' button on the new form to show the correct data each time I open the form.
I have form named home page in this homepage form in the form header i have inserted some fields from some tables like province, district, community etc. these fields are unbound and are used for filtering purposes, when i select a province all districts related to that province displayed and when i select a a district all related communities displayed, there is a one to many relationship between district table and community table,
What I want is, when i select a district on the form header(it is unbound as i explained before) of this homepage form, the DistrictID should appear in community subform under DistrictID(as there is a one to many relationship between district and community) .

I have a form with a query as rowsource. When I open the form in data sheet view form header is not showing(Though it is visible in form view). Is it possible to show the form header in datasheet view?
I've placed an unbound text control in the header of a Split Form. I also placed a label in header of a split form. But, neither is visible until I select a row on the split form datasheet. The Visible property is set to yes and the fore color is white and the background is transparent.
I want to add an event on Form Header when double click it will filter the values, which i did with macro, but could it happen on second time double clicking it it refreshes whole as original?
I have a header/detail form working well. I use a Dsum to update a TOTAL field in the header - based on all the detail records for that Header.
However, I want to 'filter' or condition the records which the form will initially display from the Header file. I have a conditioning field (Invoice date) in the header which should 'block' it from display on the form. I may also desire to SORT the selected Headers record into a different sequence before display...
Looks like any "filtering" I try on the header table makes it difficult to go back and update the TOTAL in the Header?
I created a navigation form on which I put a form call [frmAnimal Setup].
I then placed one combo box on the Navigation frm Header. I have bound it to its source and it actually queries the tbl and show the right info. However when I select one, it will not let me.
In addition, [frmanimal setup] will not allow me to select a breed although it does query the tbl and shows the right information.
You know on forms, you have those little Left and Right arrows (< >) at the bottom of the form, and you can click on them to switch between records... yeah?
Well, how can I make the form switch between records with VB. Lets say I want a VB script that jumps to the 5th record in the table, how would I do that? Normally you would just click the Left arrow 5 times... but I want to do it with code.
I have a form called "Customer Details", on that form i have child forms, including one that has a schedule on.. so far everything seems fine, am able to get it to pull data correctly to the correct fields.. etc
I'm using 1 main table for all of this called "Cases"
Now the problem is, when i i click a button to print (this works so far), it opens another form and then fills in all the textbox's, however this is where i've got the problem, as it always seems to pull the data from the first record, not the record that i'm currently on..
so for example, if in the customer details, someone looks up "joe Blogs" using the navigation search and then wants to print it, by hitting the print button .. it should open another form, fill in the boxs and print "Joe Blogs", however it's always doing "Joe adams" - 1st Record
Is it possible to create a VBA on the AfterUpdate() that flips a value based on a condition?
For example, if in a text box (Gender) there is a value of "Male" and in a combo1309 the value is "No", can Gender be switched to "Female" automatically?
I use the switchboard wizard to set up a switchboard. At the moment my main switchboard has 3 items and they are all set to 'open form in add mode' and they all point to the same form at the moment (which does exist).
When I try to go to form view of the switchboard I get the error 'The control name label1 is misspelled or refers to a control that doesn't exist'. Behind it I can see the form in form view and I can see there are the 3 menu items I would expect but when I close the error dialogue and the following 'close macros' dialogue' it goes back to design view. In design view I can only see one menu item (which seems to be a text box rather than a label) instead of 3. I changed it to a label but it didn't work.
I created a form that has about 200 fields and all the fields are utilized at a point depending on the work order assigned to us. I wanted to know if it's possible to put like a toggle box or a check box etc. next to the field so if it is checked it would be in a Dark color and the ones not utilized are in a shade of gray. All the fields are coming from the same table. Another thing it's an estimate worksheet so a row would have something like, Labor, QTY, HRs, Overtime, total as columns, so I would want a check box to have control over those but one for each row, EX contractor, locksmith.
Is there a way to show the toggle buttons in an option group as NOT selected when the form first loads up? I've cleared all the default value properties in the table and the form but it always loads as showing one of the buttons pressed/selected. I want the form to load and both buttons in the group look the same.
I am making a specialty form where it must toggle on or off when the user clicks on a boxed area. Since toggle backgrounds cannot be set to transparent, I need to do it some other way. I thought of either using a button to control a hidden checkbox, or just writing code altogether. The problem is that I don't know what code to use to programmatically change the state each time the box is clicked.
I have VBA code that switches a form to a report that works with buttons but refuses to work when first loading up the database.
Ideally I want the database to open , with a control form set as the default load form, and then this immediately loads a report, which it does, but it doesn't ever switch to it?
I use as standard: DoCmd.OpenReport "rpt_here", acViewPreview, , , acWindowNormal
I have a form with about 10 subforms on it, all of which have queries as source objects. All of these queries are based off the same table which contains a field for Customer. What I would like to do is have a toggle button on this form that, once pressed, essentially adds a "not like" criteria to each of these subforms' queries EXNot Like "Customer_A"). When depressed, the queries/subforms should exist as is.
My first issue is that when I add a toggle button, the control wizard does not start. It starts up fine for any other control, however. For example, I imagine that on the After Update event of the toggle button I would requery each of the subforms, but I'm not sure how to add the "not like" criteria to each of the underlying queries.
I currently have two forms. One being my main form and the other being a pop-up form to update e-mail addresses. On my main form, I have a button that is currently programmed to generate several e-mails. Before those e-mails are generated, I would like the pop-up form to appear asking for any updates to e-mail addresses. Once the pop-up form is closed, I would like the code on my main form to continue.
I have a form. On this form is a tab control with 5 tabs. Four of these tabs have subforms on them. The 5th tab is sort of a "settings" page. What I would like to do is have a button on the 5th tab, that toggles the subforms on the other four pages between the regular form view, and datasheet view.I know I can use the "DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSubformDatasheet" to do this, however I am unsure as to how to apply it to the subforms on the other tabs. They aren't "in focus" so the command won't work properly.
