I use this bit of code to generate an Outlook email body with the contents of strBody. How can I modify this so the HTML generated is in "Courier new" font size 11?
With MailOutLook
.To = Recipient
.CC = RecipientCopy
.Subject = Subject
.BodyFormat = olFormatHTML
.Body = StrBody
.display
End With
I can generate an email by clicking on a button on a MS Access Report. In the body of the resulting Outlook email you have formatted text. I have also included an array of values which are displayed in this email but I need to highlight certain items in the array in red based on whether or not another column for that record is checked. Here is an image of the email. Notice that I have circled "ZWO" and that it is red. I need for this to happen programmically.
My company recently upgraded our MS Office from 2007 to 2010 (except for Access).
Previously, when I had Access 2007 and Outlook 2007, I had a process that generated 50+ dynamic emails from an Outlook template file (.oft).
The code would loop through a listbox and replace the template's default text to a string of text specific to the selection in the listbox by utilizing the Replace() function on the MailItem .HTMLBody.
Since the upgrade to Outlook 2010, the code is able to run, however, the Replace() function is no longer working; Instead, each email that is generated maintains the template's default text.
The only thing that is not working is the Replace() function, all other aspects of the code work fine.
I've provided a simplified version of the code below:
Dim myOlApp As Outlook.Application Dim objMailMessage As MailItem Dim stBody As String Set myOlApp = Outlook.Application Set objMailMessage = myOlApp.CreateItemFromTemplate("C:UsersDesktop emplate.oft")
[Code] .....
I've recreated the template file in Outlook 2010, thinking that the template created with Outlook 2007 would be the culprit, but to no avail.
What could have changed from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010 that would render my previously valid code ineffective?
Are there certain references I need to enable in both Access and Outlook to allow VBA in Access modify the content in an Outlook email?
In my website I've created a admin login with some ASP pages to edit and update stories. I use an acces database and installed HTMLarea for WYSIWYG editing.
When I update text, all the HTML tags show als plain text in my website. For example: I make a headline bold in my wysiwig editor and I update my text, it just shows: <B> here's a new story </B> If I look in my database I have a field 'text' wich is a memofield and I can see the html tags have been stored into my database. <B>here's a new story</B>
It looks like it doesnt recognize the html tags as HTML, but just as plain text...
Can I use HTML-tags in an acces database and how do I get them to show up right in my website?
I'm using the sendobject method from access and it always puts the body of the email in plain text. Is there a way to specify HTML (besides the obvious of changing the format once it's open)?
I'm trying to output some logging to a form with a Rich text textbox
This is what the form is displaying: 14:16:32: check OK: 500<10000andS235='s460'> 14:16:32: check OK: 500<10000andS235='s355'> 14:16:32: check failed:too short 500<1000231231 > 14:16:32: Ready ...
There is some coloring in the text but I'm not display that here (copy/paste of the textbox)
This is the HTML behind it (? txtbox in imm.window): 14:16:32: <font color=black>check OK: 500<10000andS235='s460'</font><br />14:16:32: <font color=black>check OK: 500<10000andS235='s355'</font><br />14:16:32: <font color=red><strong>check failed:too short 500<1000231231 </strong></font><br />14:16:32: <font color=green><strong>Ready ... </strong></font><br />
The problem is in the red > that are added to each line. I have no clue where they are coming from, in fact: they are NOT in the HTML.When I display this piece of HTML in IE I don't get the red > behind each line.I have tried to use <p> of <div> instead of <br/> but that makes no difference
I have a table field defined as Plain Text. On a form I have a memo field set up also defined as Plain Text. When I enter data into the memo field on the form and save it, I see HTML characters in the field on the table.
I attached some screen shots of the table definition, form field properties and a look at the data saved to the table with the HTML characters.
I am simply trying to find text on a Web Browser Control htm page.
Using MS Access 2003, I have a form that includes the activeX Web Browser Control. On load of the form I initialize the web like below:
Code: Dim strURL As String strURL = "http://www.justice.gov/eoir/profcond/chart.htm" Me.WebBrowser0.Navigate strURL Me.WebBrowser0.Silent = True
The page loads fine.
Now, also, on my form is an unbound text box I call: [txtFind] and a command button I call [cmdFind]. I want [cmdFind] to find the first occurrence of the value in [txtFind]. My code below doesn't do anything when I click the [cmdFind] button.
Code: Public oRange As Object Public myfindFirst As Boolean Public intTextLength As Long Private Sub cmdFind_Click() Dim sSearch As String Dim strText As String
I need to remove html text from a make table in access 2007. My table name is "Bad Actors Comments Column" and the column where the html text resides is "FirstOfADD_TEXT. VBA code to remove the html text?
I have created a form taking in Data from a query.On the form I have created a combo box. The selected value is used in an criteria of the query.The criteria in the query is:[Forms].[frmMyPortfolio]![cbodep].How can I ensure that all values in query are generated, if their is no selection in the combos.
I have the following code which works perfectly BUT I want to be able to add another line of text if users enable a checkbox. I have tried everything I can think of but can't get it to work. When using an "IF check150" statement it just adds the extra text in regardless of selection or not.
Code:
Function Mail_Radio_Outlook6(activedoc As String) Dim OutApp As Object Dim OutMail As Object Dim strbody As String Dim acc_req As String Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
[Code] ....
This is fine most of the time but If a user ticks check150 I want to add another paragraph.
Do I use an IF statement, if so in what format? is it a separate function etc?
I am slowly getting more familiar with Access but still come unstuck on the simplest of things at times.
I'm about to connect my DB to word. So I made a form where the user has to choose what entry to export. The data is inserted in a word file in different bookmarks. But there is one special task to insert the rich text so in this case the html formatted text is displayed like this:
I need, in some way or another, to be able to import an HTML code from an HTML file into Access. It would be ideal if the end result is a table with one memo field named "HTML".
I know is seems strange, but I need the code itself. I've managed to do a bit of duct-tape work, and import from HTML, but this results in only the text of the HTML code (Meaning the text of the web page, not the tags).
I know I'm crazy for wanting this, but is there anyone out there who can give direction/guidance?
Is is possible to save Access forms in HTML and add data using these forms withouth any kind of special software? I would like to interact beteween MS Front Page and Access. I will use front page to design my web site and map to the tables in Access into which add or query data.
I have copied a VBA from the net and it is working fine and producing my report on outlook body text but one problem me facing is that it is pasting only first page if the second page is there it is not coming in outlook text body this what i want rest every thing is correct the code is:
Private Sub Command88_Click() Const ForReading = 1, ForWriting = 2, ForAppending = 3 Dim fs, f Dim RTFBody, strTo Dim MyApp As New Outlook.Application Dim MyItem As Outlook.MailItem
I am close to getting code to send an email from access with the body of the email populated with a Rich Text textbox from my access form. The problem I am having is that the body of the email is converted to plain text in Outlook which is creating problems for me. How to identify what I can do to convert to rich text or HTML in Outlook? I also want to attach a table that is populated by a query in my application, but i haven't got that far yet.
-Two textboxes with client first and last name -Two textboxes with a contact 'email1' and 'email2' for the client -A combobox with a list of templates to use for the email. -A checkbox to include a copy of the statement on the email.
I want the user to be able to press a button which does the following
-Sends an email to both 'email1' and 'email2'. -Attaches a secific report as PDF if the user has selected the checkbox -The body of the email includes a greeting line using the clients name from the record. -The body of the message includes below the greeting line a html email template depending on the users combobox selection.
I am trying to modify the following code to send an automated e-mail using Microsoft Outlook instead of Lotus Notes. We recently switched e-mail clients and now the older code does not work. I have tried to comment in all areas to indicate where the new Outlook code has been inserted.
Private Sub SendEmail(ByVal Subject As String, ByVal Body As String) 'The bulk of this code for Lotus Notes comes from this website: Dim copy(100) As Variant Dim strSQL As String Dim rsTemp As Recordset Dim Maildb As Object 'The mail database Dim UserName As String 'The current users notes name
Quote by Pat Hartman >>>BTW, one somewhat undesirable thing happens when you go with replication. Access changes ALL your autonumbers to random instead of sequential. That means that from that time on, all new autonumbers will be assigned randomly to minimize the problem of conflicts between the design master and replica sets. A random autonumber can range from a very small negative number to a very large positive number. These autonumbers can no longer be used as your customer numbers or order numbers if these numbers are ever printed or given to the customer to be used for reference. A customer probably will be confused by an order number = -2. If this is going to cause you a problem, you'll need to switch to custom generated numbers. Post back for details if you need them.<<<<
I'd be interested in getting some details. Data will be entering that table through a data entry form and through appending from a second copy of the DB. I want to make the PK a random autonumber but then when the second DB is added to the Master DB have the table in the Master DB assign each record a "prettier" more usable id number. I know this is stupid but I'm not sure how to relate code to a table (there's no before update event for a table as far as I'm aware).
I have an orders database using Ac2K. Main tables are: tblOrders: Has OrderID which is autonumber, key index (no duplicates)
tblOrderDetail: Has OrderDetailID --long integer
Tables are related in one to many relationships on OrderID-OrderDetailID with both cascades set.
Database is split with tables and front end on server. I can't put front end on desktops because users can access from any of over 600 computers in the school district even tho there are not all that many simultaneous users.
Data is input on main form bound to tblOrders. When user puts in required information (Date,Vendor other etc.), I save record and autonumber generates a new OrderID. The subform window then opens and user then inputs the details of the order to the tblOrderDetail. There can be multiple entries here.
Form and subform are linked by their ID fields as master-child.
PROBLEM: System which runs on network with 2-3 simultaneous users is unstable. It works for a while (maybe 10-20 orders) and then crashes. The subform window is blank (never opens).
When I examine the tables directly I found these problems:
1) Two of the OrderID's (autonumbers) are the SAME! They are usually right above and below each other and usually tied to the same user altho other order info may be different. I don't see any data "collision" if it's the same user. I thought this was IMPOSSIBLE.
2) There is an entry or two in the tblOrderDetail with ######### in one or more fields. The OrderDetailID field is blank. I once found the ######### in the tblOrders as well.
3) The key index is removed from the OrderID.
4) When I go to the relationships window either the link is missing or the cascade and integrity are no longer active. If I try to re-establish, I get a message about missing key index or unmatched data. If I then go and DELETE the records with the ##########, I can re-establish the relationship. And it works for awhile again.
5. Compact and repair doesn't fix anything.
6. One user "thinks" she saw a quick message about "time-out". Is there some setting in Access that I need to change (Tools-Options-Advanced?)
ANY ideas would be much appreciated. There is nothing worse than trying to work with a system that works most, but not all, of the time.
Is there a quick and easy (or not so easy) way to use Microsoft Outlook Address Book to populate a drop down combo box? I am creating a form that needs to pull in Business Process Owners, all of which would be in our corporate address book.
I'm making a table with a Yes/No choice many fields which represent subscriptions.
The problem is that the subscriptions available will need to be changed fairly often - will this mean the table and the form associated with it need to be redesigned?
If so, I don't know how to make fields that change depending on a different table.
If this can't be done, I'd be interested to find out how else I could go about this.
