Forms :: Populate Textbox After MULTIPLE Combobox Selection

Got a bit stuck in a database. I have a form based on a query. On the form I have 4 comboboxes.
The combo boxes filter eachother without a problem (based on custom select query)
Now I want after the fourth combobox value is selected, I want to populate a text field with a value from a different column from the master query (after the 4 selections only 1 value should be possible)
Master query contains 5 columns:
- group
- type
- job
- insurance
- charge
combo1 selects group (and filters records)
combo2 selects type (from remaining records and filters again)
combo3 selects job (from remaining records and filters again)
combo4 selects insurance (from remaining records and filters again)
Combo4 is based on following query:
-column1
Insurance
Total=Group by
Show=yes
-column2
Job
Total=Where
show=no
Criteria [forms]![name].[combo]
This works great and the dropbox only shows 1 OF EACH DIFFERENT record
If I add a text box and want to see the "charge" value, that I thought I could use the ME.text-code. But in order to do this, I have to add the charge column into the query of Combo4.
If I do this, the dropbox for insurance gives me multiple values that are the same. Is there any way to make this work?

I have a table filled with company contacts and form with a combo box containing the contacts names.
When a contact is selected I want it to show their Telephone, Mobile and email address in text boxes below. But it only shows the telephone number and the other two fields stay blank.
what I'm doing wrong ?

I would like to create a combobox on a form in which a user has three selections: negative, positive, other.
If negative is chosen a textbox auto-populates with "none detected". If positive is chosen the text box populates with "positive" and If other is selected the text box populates with "unspecified".
I am designing a Web Database with a bound form to a submit table.
On the form, I have a combo box with selections that should influence the value to be displayed in a textbox also on same form.
For instance the combo box for Staff Name contains list of all Staff and I want the textbox to automatically display the level of the staff that was just selected in the combobox.
I know how to get this done using a combobox but my boss insists that the level should be automatically displayed in the textbox once combobox selection is done.
Using the combobox for level, I used the select statement in the RowSource property :
SELECT Staff_List.Level, Staff_List.Staff_Name FROM Staff_List WHERE (((Staff_List.Staff_Name)=[forms]![frmtest]![cboStaffName]));
I am in a dilemma of how to replicate this for the textbox because textbox only has control source and no RowSource where I can put this select statement.
Also, I will still need to bind this textbox to the submit table with the column name "TxtLevel" in the control source

Also note that I cannot use action queries or VBA because it is a Web database and not a client database.
I am creating a Database to track product details and inventory for items we purchase.
I have several Tables and several Forms already working properly, except for one thing.
I have a Form called "Lights", and it contains a ComboBox called Light_Name and 6 TextBoxes: Manufacturer, Model_Number, Cost, Weight, Light_Type, Notes. It also has an Attachment Field linked to the same table.
I am using the Code:
Me.TEXTBOX = Me.Light_Name.Column(#)
to populate the Textboxes with the relevant info from the Light Table.
This works for every Textbox I have.
However I cannot get the Attachment Box to change. And when I try to add code to it I get a debug error. The Attachments are PDFs and I need them to show based on the ComboBox Selection.
I have tried the same code as above, and as I said, it gives me an error.
I am designing a nomination form (web database so no vba macros can be used).
The form has 3 combo boxes: cboStaffName, cboLevel, cboNominee.
The form is bound to the tblSubmit table where the submissions are populated.
I used a select statement:SELECT Staff_List.Staff_Name FROM Staff_List; to populate the combo box for the Staff Name selection.
This is the select statement to populate the job level combobox:

The select statement to populate the combobox for the nominee combobox:
SELECT Staff_List.Staff_Name FROM Staff_List WHERE (((Staff_List.Level)=[forms]![frmtest]![cboLevel]));
The problem is that the staff_name in the first combobox is still found in the nominee combobox which should not be because a staff cannot nominate self. There is a field in the Staff_List called YesNo that should be activated for each staff that is selected so that the select statement on the nominee combobox can be updated accordingly to remove items with the field "Active"
How to get the checkbox selected for each corresponding staff.

I am using the code above on my form and it seems to be working. My question is there a way to populate a textbox (Text255) based off a login?
For example, lets say JSmith is loged in to the computer. Is there a way that JS could populate Text255? If then say JCarter is logged on, the JC populates Text255.
I've got an access front-end database running on Access Runtime on a Terminal Server with a back-end on a data server both of which are hosted by a remote company and accessed via Terminal Services. All is well and the database is working fine but because this is a cloud system I need a way that I can easily delve into the tables on the back-end without copying it down locally from the cloud each time (I've set up an "administrator" option so that this would be available to limited users). I've got the front-end forms working as I'd like but I have quite a few tables and I'd like to avoid creating a separate form for every table. I've been able to populate a combobox on my form with the list of linked tables and I'd like that when I choose a particular table from this list that the whole table is then visible within a subform below in case I need to manually intervene with the data for any reason.
Is it possible to populate a single combobox with data from 3 different tables.
I have a table called observations (for observing deer), in that table is a field called Location, I have 3 other tables that list possible locations t_foodplots, t_stands and t_section.
I would like to have a combobox called location on my observations form that will allow me to select the proper location from one of those 3 tables, the choices would be something like this...
Section 1 Section 2 Section 3 Stand 1 Stand 2 Stand 3 Foodplot 1 Foodplot 2 Foodplot 3 etc....
The chosen value would be stored in the t_observations "location" field.
It related training (Training topic and Training Date). I used combobox as training topic (fill with items 0 and 1. 0 for not train and 1 for trained). when user choose 0, cursor will go to another combo box (Other training topic), by Training Date is disable, but if user choose 1, cursor will working as normally let user to enter training date.
Problem : When I choose 0 in topic control in Form View and save, It works normally (Training Date is disable), but when I Open it in Form Design View and Open It to Form view that topic control become enabled.

it's easy to set up a form with a combobox that will list all records and moves the user to the selected record. But I can't figure out how to just show a selection of the records in this combobox, instead of all records.
So, to use the example used in most online tutorials: a drop down menu shows you all the names in a customer database. However, I'd like to have instead a dropdown menu with an overview of all surnames in the database and that I move to the first record with the selected surname.
I am looking to have a combobox on a unbound form to select a product code (this i can do). However I want a textbox to auto populate with the description as well - both in the same table tblproducts - product_id, pcode, pdesc....
I have two tables: tblWeightTickets and tblWasteType.
I want to create a form: frmWeightTickets, where a user can enter information and the data is stored in tblWeightTickets.
There are two fields in particular that I am working on ... "WasteType" and "Rate".
On the form, I want "WasteType" to be a combobox "cboWasteType" and when I select a type of waste I want the "Rate" textbox on the same form to auto populate with the rate amount for that particular type of waste (i.e. recycling, garbage, etc).
The Rate amount is located in the table: tblWasteType under the field name "Rate". How can I do this and at the same time store the information in the tblWeightTickets? I already have the combo box loaded with the types of waste - I just need it to populate the rate text box and store it in the Weight Tickets table.
I have a Customers table and an Orders table. My Customers table is a bit different than the norm because I couldn't figure out any other way to do this.
My client's customers are either businesses (companies) with a contact person, or individual customers. So, in the Customers table, I have the following fields (there are others but do not apply to my problem):
Customer ID Company Contact Customer
So, if it is a company the data entry person would enter the company name and the full name (EX: Doe, John) in the contact field, but if it is an individual customer, then they would leave Company and Contact blank and enter just the Customer name (Ex: Doe, Jane).
So, in the Orders table, I have combo boxes for look ups for the fields Company and Customer.
That works okay, but I would really like for the Customer ID to post into a text box once the Company or Customer has been selected. In other words, the input person would enter the name, then it would show that Customer's ID #.

I am working on Form transaction1 linked with table(transaction) on which I have combobox therein I have name of Products which are coming from PRODUCTMASTER.PRODUCTNAME. everything going well all data commiting accurately in Transaction table.
Now, What I want when I select comboxbox value i.e. productname then sum of qtyin+qtyout from table(transaction) should come into textbox(total) as according to the productname selected
I have a form frmCrisisSupportWorkers with a tab control on the form. On the first tab, Personal Info there is a combo box called cboLocation. It is next to the Town/City.
I have a text box that updates the postcode after the selection is made below it but that is as the post codes are stored in the combo box and I just put the column for the postcode in the control source of the text box.
I can't do that for state as I have it stored in another table and use a numeric identifier to show which state is selected.
I want to have a text box below that auto updates the state once a town is selected but I can't seem to get it working.
In my quality control database QC techs will be entering in test results. Each quality control entry they put in will have a product and lot number it is related too.
My question is about making data entry easier for the QC techs. When two jobs are being run at once, the techs may have to alternate between which jobs they enter, meaning a different product and lot number. It would be frustrating for the QC techs to enter in a product code and lot number for every entry they make.
Can the lot number field be automatically populated when the tech selects a product? Basically, if the tech selects product A, can the last lot number value for product A automatically populate the field in the new entry?
Edit: Currently I have the "solution" of making two instances of the entry form with each lot number entered on the different one. This allows the QC Techs to use the CTRL+ ' to populate the last record, allowing them to quickly enter the product code, lot number, and date of the job they are working on.
I hope someone can guide me in the right direction. I have developed a database to keep track of Service Calls we receive. We manufacture and/or service a wide range of products from Automatic Laundry/Kitchen chemical dispensers to office furniture. We are currently using this data base and it works well, I'm trying to make it easier for the user.
I have a form to enter information into a table, tblService Calls. In the form I have a ComboBox labeled Issue Code which looks up information in a table tblService Issue. I also have a ComboBox labeled Service Issue which also looks up information in the tblService Issue.
tblServiee Issue looks like this: Issue Code Service Issue 101 Laundry Install 201 Kitchen Install and so on
What I'm trying to do is when I enter issue code 101 in ComboBox Issue Code, I would like the Service Issue (Laundry Install) to automatically post in the ComboBox or TextBox labeled Service Issue. Is this possible?

I am having issues with my combo box populating values based on the selection from another combo box.
Database : contains 2 tables: Staff_List, Level_Type and a form called frm_Test The first combobox cboLevel gets its value from the Level_Type table with the select statement SELECT [Level_Type].[ID], [Level_Type].[Level_Type] FROM level_Type;
The values to be displayed on the second combobox cbo_Name is expected to be dependent on the Level selection made from the first combobox i.e if Level 1 is selected in cboLevel then only Names of people in Level 1 will be displayed in second combobox.
The select statement I put there is SELECT Staff_List.ID, Staff_List.Staff_Name FROM Staff_List WHERE ((([Staff_List]![Level])=[Forms]![frm_test]![cboLevel])); This is not displaying anything in the second combobox after I tried it in the Form view, just empty.
When I amend a combobox I want a label to adjust to reflect the current cbox input.
I have used the event change and done on change me.label = me.cbox.value and that works however the cbox has 2 columns. The unique category id and the category. So at moment if i choose the first option from cbox i get 1 appear in label as opposed to clematis for example.
What code to use to select the second column from cbox value.
I'm building a new db for tracking tests/results, using Access 2007.
On this issue, I'm working with 2 tables, Sample and Equipment.
On a form to enter sample info, I have a combo box to select a piece of equipment.
When the equipment is selected, I need to have a sub-form populate with several fields of data from the equipment table, based on the equipment selected.
I'm not trying to save the equipment data again, I just need to display it, based on the equipment the user selects. This is just a kind of second check to remind the user what the equipment he's selected will do.
