Forms :: Textbox Value Showing Old Data

I have a subform on a form which I load up after the user enters a value in the main form by using the sourceobject property of the subform, the problem i have is that after reloading the main form and the user entering another value, the textbox.value of a control on the subform will sometimes not show the correct value. I am aware that textbox.value doesn't change until the after update event, however this particular textbox is just showing information that has just been queried from the database.

I have 2 table as follow.

Productmaster
-Productname
-Opening date

Transaction
-Productname (linked with master productname)
-qtyin
-qtyout

I am working on Form transaction1 linked with table(transaction) on which I have combobox therein I have name of Products which are coming from PRODUCTMASTER.PRODUCTNAME. everything going well all data commiting accurately in Transaction table.

Now, What I want when I select comboxbox value i.e. productname then sum of qtyin+qtyout from table(transaction) should come into textbox(total) as according to the productname selected

Forms :: Bringing Entered Data From One Textbox On Form To Textbox On Another Form

I currently have two froms, "add record" and "add record cont." The reason I have two seperate forms is because when clients create a new record information needs to be saved to two different tables and when creating one from with fields from both tables I ran into many problems. The two tables are named : tblMain, tblFileLoc Currently there is a textbox on both forms named "fileID" the FileID in the first form is from tblMain and is the primary key for that table, the FileID on the second form "Add Record Cont." is just a normal field. When clients enter in the new FileID in the first form "Add Record" and then move onto the next form "Add Record Cont." i need access to bring the entered FileID from the first form and Fill it in the FileID field in the second form. Currently I have tried making the control source for the textbox on the second form = the textbox on the first form but it brought up an error.

One of my forms in the database is not showing some records in a particular field. Although those records are entered through the same form and are shown in the table, yet some of them are not visible in the form.

This is happening only in a particular field, and in that field, some records are shown , and some are not shown.

I have two forms. The first form has individual data to include the person's Social Security Number (SSN). I have another form (subform) that has other data to include the person's SSN. I added the subform to the form (linked the SSN). Unfortunately, only the SSN field appears in the subform. None of the other data in the subform appears in the subform.

I have a Subform that is inside a Subform that its only purpose is to display some calculations but for some reason it is blank. Here is a screenshot of what I am dealing with:

See that area under "Pump Calc" that is blank...it should have data in it:

Forms :: Option Group Not Showing Table Data?

I have an Option Group I created (simple Yes-No) in a form that links to a Yes-No field in a table. I have the default set for this field to "Yes" in the form. The option button works when the form is first opened. If I cange the option to "No", that works. Here's the tricky part that is giving me eye twitches...

If I change the option back to "Yes", the radial button doesn't reflect the change...but it does change the table data! Why do the radial buttons stop changing? Even when I close the form and open it again, the data in the table is no longer reflected with the buttons in the form.

I have 64-bit, Access 2010.

Forms :: Access Sub Form Not Showing All Data From Table

I am relatively new to Access 2007, I am having an issue with a sub form not showing all the data from a table.

Basically I have 2 tables: Headers and Line Details, they are linked via an order number. The headers will only ever have 1 record per order number but there can be multiple records on the line details table.

I have imported the data into both tables. When I open my main form, all the data from the header file is all visable and all correct for all records. However when I look at the data in the sub form, it is only showing data for some of the records.

I have checked and the data is correctly linked, and if I change the "source object" to point directly at the table in the sub form it shows the record is there. When I point it back to my sub form it is blank.

In my form, when a button (cmdContactedToday) is clicked, a text field to the left (txtDateContacted) is updated with today's date.

However, before this happens, I want the the current date in txtDateContacted to get stored in another (hidden) text field (txtPreviousDate)

Then when another (undo) button (cmdUndoDate) is clicked, the date in txtDateContacted should get replaced with the date in txtPreviousDate.

I've made it as simple to understand as I could.

Sometimes the form will have the date entered as 00/00/97

How can I change the month and day to 01/01 and of course leave the year as it was.

Any way to transfer the data in an unbound textbox into a separate table.

User enters an amount into a textbox2, and then it does some calculations that involves textbox1 and textbox2. Finally, textbox3 has the final answer. Can textbox3 overwrite textbox1's data on the table and on the form?

Also, is there an "auto date" feature in tables? If new data is put into tables, Today's date appears on the date column?

I have an Access 2010 database where we have a SQL Linked Table with a column that is nVARCHAR(20) Not Null data type. We have created a form for data entry. Currently when the user tries to erase a value or choose not to define a value we get the following error.

"You tried to assign the Null value to a variable that is not a Variant data type."

This field should accept a blank value "" as the user may not want to set the value. We do not have control over the DB schema, so how can I work around this issue in access?

I have a form, with a tab control on it. Each tab has a subform to display data. One tab is meant to be a summary tab of the rest, so I want to pull data from certain controls on each of the other tabs to display on the Summary tab.

If I set the ControlSource to Forms!subfrmLABOUR!txtTotalHours.Value the control just displays #Name?

I assume that means it can't reference the ControlSource. Is it just a syntax thing? I've tried various methods, but no luck.

I have a Mainform [FrmReconcileMain] and it contains a Subform [FrmReconcilesub]

What I'm trying to is, on the Main form type in a statement date in textbox [TxtStatementDate].

I have a checkbox on my subform [ReconciledYN], along with a textbox [TxtReconcileDateSub]. when I click the checkbox, it simply pulls the date from the mainform and populates the date in the subform.

I've even tried experimenting on a simple form (with no subform) to see whats going on, but still I can't get it to work, even on a simple event such as this...

I'm having trouble with a new project I'm working on. The application is mainly going to be used to display data, which comes from a linked table. It has to be a linked table (in my opinion) because it's replaced once per week from a fresh data dump. For each of those records, though, there will be notes made in a local table named "Custom-Data". My trouble is displaying a mix of information from the linked table, "Roster", and "Custom-Data" because linked tables can't be assigned a primary key.

Essentially, when a record is pulled up, a bunch of data from "Roster" will be shown in addition to the comments from "Custom-Data".

I have a database for billing. In my database, I have a form that consists of a main form "Order" and 2 subforms "OrderDetails" and "Customer" OrderDetails are to enter the products to be connected to the Order. All function super, but I want to have some information from one of the forms "copied" over to on of the others.

Here is what I would like

In the subform "OrderDetails" I have made a textbox that summarize all prices to a total, his tekstbox i called "Tekst31". I would like the amount in this textbox to appear in a field "Bel�b" in the main form "Order".

I have tried some different commands, but nothing has worked, also I have made a query which dose the same ting as the tekstboks, as the information in that tekstbox it not stored anywhere.

Copying From 1 Textbox To Another Textbox On Different Forms

I have a text box on 'Forma' & a textbox (named text3) on 'Formb'.
I want to copy the contents of the textbox from 'Formb' to the textbox on 'Forma'. I have used the following code in the textbox on 'Forma'....

=Forms![Formb]![Text3].text

This doesn't seem to be working whether both Forms are open or only 'Forma'. Could somebody please advise as to what I am missing. Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Help With Showing Data That Is Not There

Hello..

This I think is easy, but I can't put my finger on it. I have a table of processes 12 of them. In the query I have them by date. What I want to do is to be able to show all 12 processes even if there is no info in them. I have a completed button, but if there is no info in the process the completed or not completed won't show up. The process is associated to an event. Hope this makes sense.

Any suggestions? I tried in the report to have a grouping, but if no information is present for that process it doesn't show up. I want the process to show up with or without info. So the end users can track the progress on a week by week basis.

tblFMForEradication

i am trying to run a query to generate the number of events that have happened for each code that appears in the tblFMForEradication table.

however when i run the query i only get 17 records returned wheras there are 30 records in the tblFMForEradication table.

If the code has not occured i need it to display zero,

but i always need all the codes in the tblFMForEradication to be listed in this case there should always be 30 records in the list.

please help

I don't know if anyone can help me with this one at all.

I have a query that contains all the possible data that my users will wish to get data from but I want them to have the option to show/hide particular columns to make the query ad-hoc.

I have some code that copies my query to another of a unique name during the course of their Access session so they end up with a query with the name 'ABC' for example that they can run.

If this query ABC has columns A,B,C,D which are all defaulted to be shown and the user decides they are not interested in columns B and C is there Access code that is equivilent to this pseudo-code?

ABC.A.Show = True
ABC.B.Show = False
ABC.C.Show = False
ABC.D.Show = True

where ABC is a query, A..D are columns and Show is the checkbox in the query definition.

That I can run in VB 6.3?

Showing Where Data Is Missing In A Query

I want to use a column in a query to show where data is missing in other fields.

In excel I have used this statement:

=IF(COUNTA(I5:J5)=2,"","error")

Basically, I have two fields PRICE and WEIGHT. I want a column in the query to show 'Error' (or any kind of flag) when either (or both) of these fields are blank.

Hope this makes sence.

Any advice?
