Apr 4, 2012I have a scenario where the first three rows of date which have dates of 4/1, 4/4/ 4/6 with ndc 5513026701; next six rows that have dates from 4/8 to 4/20 with ndc 5513014801; next three rows that have dates from 4/25, 4/27, 4/29 with ndc 5513026701.
The issue I am having is I do not know how to have separate min/max dates for ndc 5513026701 since when I group by ndc 5513026701 min = 4/1 ; max = 4/29. I need to have min = 4/1 and max = 4/6 for one row and another row of min = 4/25 and max = 4/29.
Any easy way to sequentially create min/max for each ndc 5513026701? I wasn't sure how to verbalize this so I have attached a sample worksheet.....

what can I include in my code to prevent a user from entering a date into a textbox (via code via combo boxes)
that is an earlier date than the last or latest date field record entry. The two questions I s'pose I'm asking are how do I reference that
last or latest Record (which maybe the user just inputted via the form) & how do I approach the code. The user will be inputting data
for his club members for a monthly sporting event & I'm trying to prevent him accidentally entering an earlier date than the last meet.

Selecting Only Some Dates From A Calendar
Dec 28, 2005I am totally new to Access and this is my first database.
I have a database for volunteers in which one table is basically a calendar. In this table I have fields for the month, day of the week (i.e Monday) and day of the month (i.e 21st). There is also a filed called "Special days"
Sometimes I may want to produce a report that selects only certain days such as Saturday, Sunday and other days marked as "special days". Another time I may also want to produce a report that selects other days.
At the moment I have a "test filed" in which I place a 1 for those days i want to select then I choose all those with a 1. This is obviously a very poor construction.
Can anyone offer me a more advanced method?

I have a database (well, a half-database at the moment) which is used to book a hall. I want to add a calendar to the bookings form, so users can see what they're doing more easily.
This would only be useful, however, if I could grey-out days that have already been filled.
So is there any way I can do this?

Pop Up Calendar For Start And End Dates
Nov 3, 2014I have created a query that prompts the user for a start and an end date and proceeds with showing the data between those dates.
I was wondering if there was anyway that instead of the user typing in the dates, a calendar could pop up and they could pick the start and end dates instead?
If that isn't possible is there anything else that's simpler that I can do? Maybe like a list box for month, date, and year?
Select Range Of Dates With Calendar
Mar 19, 2006I have a form and table which I use to collect some reservation information. I then have a subform/table which I use to enter the actual dates of for that reservation. This subform/table has only three fields. The foreign key field that links it to the main form/table, the date(s) entered and the subform/table autonumber primary key.
What I would like to do is use an ActiveX type of calendar as the subform and be able to select a range of dates. If someone is making a reservation for 8 days, I want to be able to select that range of days on the calendar and have create/enter all 8 of those records in the subform/table.
I would much prefer this as opposed to simply collecting a single IN date and a single OUT date.
Anybody have any ideas?

Sep 16, 2004Before I waste a ton of time trying to do something that just isn't possible, can one of you tell me if the following is possible?
I have a database that I am using for appointments.
Is it possible to have a calendar control on a form that shows all of a person's appointments that occur during the month? For example, Joe has 3 appointments in april. Can I make the calendar show me all three dates (the appointment dates being depressed on the control) that he has appointments on? If so, can you tell me how? I can make it do one date, by making the row source the date scheduled field from the table.
Should I have seven different fields in one record for the appointments that could occur all seven days of the week?

Mar 30, 2006I am trying to build a form that accepts either a single date for start and stop dates whilst allowing a range of dates to be selected for operations that cover several days.
I am using the Access 2003 calendar which is fine for selecting a single date but how do I select several dates (4-7 Mar for example) ?

Use Calendar On Form To Update Dates In Table
Jun 21, 2006I have a form bound to a table that has a bunch of dates in it. What I want to do, is to be able to have pop-up calendars on the form next to each date field, where the user can select dates from the calendar, then have those dates display on the form, and last but not least, update the date fields in the table.
At the moment, the form I'm working with let's me pick dates from little pop-ups and display the dates, but when I exit the form and then come back into it, the dates are gone! In other words, I'm missing something in the process between the dates displaying onthe form and the dates getting into my table.
If anyone has an idea as to what I might be doing wrong, I wouldappreciate your ideas and suggestions.

General :: Sorting Recordset In Form - Add Numerical Field With Sequential Value
May 23, 2013I've been building a small app for some friends. At present, they enter "records" line by line into a word processor, then use (archaic, IMHO) macros to produce the desired printouts. They wanted the new data entry UI to mimic that process.
Ok, so I've adopted the datasheet form as the principal entry vehicle. Based on the initial info they gave me, there were two convenient fields to sort on, so I used them in the OrderBy clause of the query which serves as the form's recordsource. I also developed the code to maintain the sort order after they inserted or deleted a record.
Now it turns out they don't require an entry into those fields, and in fact there's no logical field at all on which to order by.
So the question is: how to approach this? From my reading, I can't use the primary key or an autonumbered field, since the former won't necessarily reflect the desired incrementation and the latter only triggers for a new record, not an insertion (is this correct?).
My thought is to add a simple numerical field (which will be hidden from the user) with sequential values. I can do the OrderBy on it, and add code to adjust those values whenever a record is deleted or inserted. (That will require looping through the recordset from the point where the deletion or insertion occurred.)
For instance, is there some way to add a calculated field to the recordsource for this purpose?
General :: Creating Unique Sequential / Reference Number Every Time Report Is Printed
Feb 15, 2013I have a rental database and I print several contacts for leases etc. what I want to do is have a unique reference number or something inserted to the report every time that it's printed. What I am trying to achieve is to keep track of which tenant corresponds to the report (Lease) printed by using reference number.
There is a seperate form which holds the tenants details and I would like to have a field on that form which would show the same reference number as the report so I can track which report was printed for who.
Whats the best/easiest way to accomplish this?

is there a cleaner way to do this?? I thought perhaps an array of some sort may do the trick.

Control Arrays?
Jun 23, 2005I am not even totally sure that is what you call it. . but I have most of my experience in VB.NET and this VBA in Access 2002 is killin me. HA. . .
I am trying to dynamically create checkboxes (50 of them) in 10 rows and 5 columns. This is part of a "im bored" project and would like to be able to tackle the dynamic controls area.
I am thinking I want to keep the naming convention as "chkBox01. . .02. . .03" so that I can use the mid() function to determine its "value" and apply the value in the proper place.
I suppose the only thing I need is an example if anyone has one of a checkbox or any control for that matter being made by VBA and not placed on the form manually. 50 check boxes suck when trying to rename them all. sigh

Queries :: Use Of Arrays In Forms
Dec 27, 2014I have a form that allows me to sell animals in a group. While some fields, (i.e. buyersname, sellingunits, datesold) are good for all, some fields (i.e. AnimalID, SellingWgt, Sellingprice, Picture) need to be specific.
Having said this, Using a query for GroupSales, I filled a list box of all the animals that are to be sold. Below the list box two command buttons (1-ALL) and (2-by Group).The only difference being here, is that by clicking cmdALL all animalIDs listed in the list Box will be highlighted. The By-Group means the user has to highlight the IDs they want to sell..
In either event, there will multiple IDs. If I can use arrays here, I could include the other fields for each animal that has been chosen. These would then be updated/appended to other tbls.

General :: Open Calendar Control Replacement On A Certain Date?
Jul 27, 2013a couple of months ago i found a celndar control replacement that Microsoft kindly provided. i have made a few mods that allow me to change the day/week etc. i would now like to tell it to open on a certain date. the reason is that on each of my client records i have 'Future Appointments'. i would like to be able to select a future appointment and click a button that then opens a form that includes the calendar and go to the date of the future appointment. the calendar controls the diary. whatever date the calendar is on the diary matches. so to change to the date of the appointment i need to change the calendar date.
i tried the obvious first.
[Forms]![frmDiaryMultiView]![frmCalendar].Value=#01/01/2012#
that didnt work as the calendar does not seem to recognise it.
i am totally lost with this as i dont even understand most of the code that is behind the calendar, so i dont know what i am looking for to use to open it on a given date.
