General :: End Of Month Report - One Record Per Date Limitation

I have a form that supervisors use to input employee accountability for each day. Once supervisor completes the input, a command button is selected and records are appended to an archive table and then deleted from the "live" table. End of the month, reports pull from the archive table to tally absences.

The problem: when a supervisor submits the daily status report but resubmits the report do to an input error I now have two records for the one reported date.

How do I pull the end of month report without including an earlier record for a duplicate date? Is it possible to have access overwrite any records previously submitted for that day?

What code should I use for the system to carry out a certain action every time it is a certain date of every month. eg if the date is 5th, the system should invoice all tenants with rent of the value of the house they live in. I am unable to work with the date changes.

Every time we get to a new month, I want the rent system to update the rent balance value.

I'm trying to derive the month in digits from a date/time stamp field. Any month between 10 and 12, I need the first 2 digits but anything <=9 is only 1 digit.

Almost after a year of perfect working i am facing a problem.When i save the record , in date field my date and month values are reversed if date is between 1-12.although my database stores perfectly valid date. for example if date is "10-09-2014" (dd-mm-yyyy) after saving form date field becomes "09-10-2014". but if date is "13-09-2014" The date form field retains this value .

Can someone tell me how to get year to date totals, month to date totals, week to dates in a query? I need to get all three for three different fields.

I was not able to get the totals with the formulas given. I received the totals for each day instead. Are there any other suggestions? I am trying to different formulas, but they are not working either. I did try doing different queries with the formulas to see if that would work.

Report Has 2 Rows, 1 For Each Record With Same Date

oh, finally I am close to what i need

I have the report in the included db. there are 2 problems though.

1
the subreport DOES sum the total for each outlet if there is one, BUT it includes a row for each outlet, therefore repeating up to 3 times.

ex:
if EN-02 and EN-05 have values 1 and 3 recorded on the same date then the report has the rows:

March 8, 2004 1 0 3
March 8, 2004 1 0 3

when it should only show 1 of the rows

and if there is a value from another date it includes it in this as well.

so how can i have this limited to the sum where the dates are the same.

how can I have it display "No flow" if there are no values instead of '0'

I have a report that shows weekly schedules (each week start with Sunday date for the row) for multiple teams (columns). It prints 1 year at a time.I have to add the Sunday dates by hand into the table for each year. I have added 2016 but when I generate the report I get a "no current record" error.By the way, I am not a "programmer" but I can usually figure out whats going on when we have a problem by looking at other code in the system and by finding answers for similar problems on the forum!!

When the user clicks the date from the popup, they may use 9/1/2013 when the mgr. want them to use only 8/31/2013. Display Fields As Column Showing Date One Month After The Date In Field Above

I am creating a repayment schedule (as a report) and I want to display a series of fields as a column which return (show) a date one month after the date in the field above.

The first repayment date field (Line 1) will show a date one month after the loan was paid out. the Next field below will show the date one month later.

I can't simply insert the "Date + 30" because that would get out of since over the year. If the loan was issued on say the 15th of January, I need the first field to display 15th February and the next would be .... 15th March.... Yes - You've got it!

Now I could do that in Excel, but I don't know how to get Access to do it.

I have the following project that works as a timesheet manager:

Users enter in a form the employee name/date/hours worked/role/overtime (yes or no)/rate... on a daily basis. At the end of every week, they must create a report depending on the dates given in a query.

I have only one table (tbl_EmployeeHours) and a query to calculate the number of hours between two dates.

At the moment a report gives me all the information above (employee name/date hours worked etc..) but what I am trying to is a bit different.

I need Access to create a report (based on a date range given by the user) that would give me: per unique name, the number of normal hours worked in total, next column, the number of hours worked as overtime (rate 1.5), then, the number of hours worked as overtime (rate 2).

This means there are 3 different totals. For example, in the date range given, someone might appear twice but in the report he will appear only once with 3 different totals...

My guess:

I would say I need to create a different query for the 3 different totals (normal hours, overtime 1.5 and overtime 2). For each query you would need to ask the user to input the date range (which would not be so user-friendly I agree...). Then, I am not sure how access would create that list of names and combine the 3 different results from the queries...?

I have an application written in Access 2007 and packaged using the Packaging Solutions for deployment with Runtime.My problem is that I've written an updated version, and after carefully saving my original Back End away from the install site, uninstalling Runtime and the FE, installing the new FE with a blank copy of the BE having the same name and Runtime, and copying the filled BE into the same folder with the FE (replacing the linked, but empty, BE) I find that SOME of my tables in the BE are not being recognized. This isn't true of all tables. I can open some of the forms and find everything there. In other cases I get the following error message "The record source "tblName" specified on this form or report does not exist."

Using Access and Outlook 2010. I have a database that tracks Contracts for our University. One of the fields it tracks is Expiration Date.

Is there a way to have Access prompt Outlook to send an email to my boss when the contract is a month or within a month from expiring?I'm assuming when the database is opened it would have to run a query for expiration dates expiring within one month of today's date (which i know how to do).

I just don't know if it's possible to generate an email or some kind of message with those records/contract numbers displayed? I should also note my boss is the only one who uses this database so even if the email notice isn't possible, is there a way to show a message of what contracts are expiring soon when he opens the DB?

I'm having trouble with a Form and getting a text box entry box (Date entry) default to the date entered on the last record, which is linked to a table.

The only way I can get it to work is to type the date into the Text Box's Default property, for example, #11/13/13".

How to get the correct syntax or code into the Default property of the Text Box to make this work? I only want the entry to change versus the previous record/entry if the User changes / enters a new date.

So my guess is:

I then need to check the days between tbl_StockItems.LastStockDate and Today.

How would I write an Access VBA query to give me the amount of days and put that number into a variable.

Limitation Of Access

Hi,
I'm actually concepting a new site about travelling, in this web site people will be able to post the stories about there travelling (in french its called 'carnet de voyage') So lets say i will let limite texte to around 2 pages and will let upload 15 picture (but have a mini picture and a big picture, so in fact its 30) and i will limite weight for big at 100ko, but pictures is not uploaded in database.. only the link to the uploading file..

The language i want to use is asp and want to use an access database.
My question is considering that if my web site would become 'popular' and let say i have 200 hundred members who have post there stories. it would do about 3000 entries on pictures, and let say that 100 peoples looking at stories at the same time, is this gonna slow down my database or even crash it?

ps: im canadian (french) so sry if my english is a little bad, i have do my best to explain clearly.
