I need to export/print every single record from table as a pdf file (one record one pdf file). how to do this.
I'm working on Access 2000.
I am trying to Export a single record from my customer table and using below codes -
Private Sub lblPDF_Click()
Me.Refresh
Dim myPath As String
Dim stDocName As String
Dim theFileName As String
stDocName = "rptCustomerMaster" (is my Report File name)
>>>DoCmd.OpenReport stDocName, acPreview, , "CustId = " & Nz(Me.CustID, 0)
myPath = "C:..."
theFileName = "CustID " & CustID & ".pdf"
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, stDocName, acFormatPDF, theFileName, True
End Sub
Having errors on the highlighted code, how to resolve it, or is there any support available to export record into PDF file?
Hi guys. I'm a bit of a noob with Access. I have a table which is 15 rows by 250,000 columns. So there are about 3.75m records.
What I need to do is to get access to export a number of csv files automatically from this table.
I need each csv file to contain all the data in the table for a certain range of rows. This is determined by a value in a particular column. This is a sample of the table.

Basically Store_Nbr represents a UID for a particular store. All the data is currently in one big table, and I need a single csv file for each different store_nbr (so it contains all the data in the table for each unique store). Also, for each store_nbr, there are different Year Month of Surveys. For each store_nbr, I need a different csv file for each Year Month of Survey. This will probably divide up the 250,000 long table into about 200 csv files, as there are about 50 different Store_nbrs, and there are 4 surveys for each individual store.
Sorry if I've not made myself perfectly clear.
I'm sure there's a simple way of doing it, but I really do suck with access and was wondering if you guys had any idea.
Many many thanks!!!
Cheers
I would like to be able to copy a single record in a table and then paste this record a pre-defined number of times 10,20,30 depending on requirements. The reason I need to do this is that I want to set up a number of identical records that can easily be amended into unique records. This will vastly reduce the amount of work and time spent entering records individually.
The only way that I have been able to achieve this is to copy and transfer the master record into Excel, and then copy the row and paste it into a range of cells. Copy the range of cells back from Excel and then paste this range back into the Access table.
This works but is long winded; what I would like to know is is there a simply way of achieving this.
I am building a simplified re-order point system - if inventory position drops below a certain level (the yellow level is this case) one or more purchase order lines has to be created in another table.
I have one table with the following field and data:
ItemId Red Yellow Green Multiple Inventory position
0001 10 30 50 5 45
0002 5 40 47 5 23
0003 11 20 30 10 5
I would like to generate new records (in another table) based on the above fields and three records.Basically the end result should look as the following:
ItemId Qty Start inv Aggregated inventory Prioritization
0002 5 23 28 Yellow
0002 5 28 33 Yellow
0002 5 33 38 Yellow
0002 5 38 43 Green
0002 5 43 48 Green
0003 10 5 15 Red
0003 10 15 25 Yellow
0003 10 25 35 Green
The logic is quite simple - if inventory position is less than the yellow value new order lines should be created in multiple qty (based on the multiple field) until the aggregated value (in table 2) is above the green value.The priotization value should be based on the start inv (in tbl 2) compared to the values in red, yellow and green in tbl 1.
I need to export a specific record in the table. The menu's export option only export the entire table. Is there a way to define certain record to export?
Thanks
Using DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet I'm exporting a table which has a couple of Yes/No fields formatted as Yes/No. However when I export, they appear as TRUE/FALSE? Am I doing something wrong?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHi,
On our main menu table, I only want to be able to add one record.
On the form that I have linked to this table, should you press the tab key to go through all the items / buttons, it opens a blank record screen. However, I do not want this. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

When exporting a table from Access as a text file, it keeps adding .00 to the end of the number format records that I am tying to export.
Why it is doing that and what I need to do to prevent that from happening?
When exporting my tables from access to excel my table names change if they have a space in the name. Example table name "New Record" turns into "New_Record".
What I am trying to do is export the table data to excel than update my access program than imort the table data back. This way I can take a vertion of my access program and update/modify it as time permits than reinsert all current data with min down time.
The code I am using is as follows:
Dim td As DAO.TableDef, db As DAO.Database
Dim out_file As String
out_file = CurrentProject.Path & "excel_out"
Set db = CurrentDb()
For Each td In db.TableDefs
[Code] .....
I have two tables
tbl_Orders
Cust OrderNo OrdLne Prod Qty
ABC SO123 1 AA 15
ABB SO124 1 AB 10
tbl_StockLoc
Prod Loc Qty
AA ZX12 10
AA ZZ12 10
AA ZZ13 50
AB CW12 15
One product can have up to 10 locations in the tbl_StockLoc
I need to print the following report (up to LOC10)
Cust OrderNo OrdLne Prod Qty Loc1 Qty1 Loc2 Qty2 Loc3 Qty3 ....
ABC SO123 1 AA 15 ZX12 10 ZZ12 10 ZZ13 50
ABB SO124 1 AB 10 CW12 15
I want to export details from a table in access to a word document or any other document that will keep the current design and let me make changes afterwards.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to export a table to a .csv file.
One of the fields in the table is "Posting Date". Data Type: Date/Time. Format: Short Date
All records in this field are dates. Format is "dd/mm/yyyy". None of the records include a time.
When I export the table to a .csv file, the time is added to the date. So the exported result is "dd/mm/yyyy 00:00:00" e.g. 17/10/2013 00:00:00
I am exporting the table using "delimited" format in the wizard.
I cannot use the fixed width option.
How do I prevent the time from being added?
Exporting data from a table or query, into Word 2010?
I've googled the crap out of it and the only thing I can find is mail merge...which as far as I can tell is used for creating letters and mailling lables or emails.
What I would like to do is click a command button on an invoice which would export company name, province and date, into an existing word template, save it as a new filename, and then close.
I have a small database I am building to log and record Calibration Details Of thermometers etc. I have several table that are related, no probs so far.
However I am struggling with forms and reports that use data from the asset table more than once. IE. I have a calibration unit (this is an asset as this also needs calibrated ) that I use to test the thermometers (These Are Assets) but this is also in the same asset table as the thermometers. I need to reference the Calibration unit and the thermometer or whatever item I am testing on the same form or report. I seem to have got round the form problem but i am stuck on the report as access keeps linking to only one item, how do I make it link to 2 items on the same table on the one report.
Encountered this bug in Access 2010:
1) Create a table with a single text field
2) Enter some text values, including one which begins either "aa", "AA" or "Aa" (but not "aA"!)
3) Sort the field, and note where it puts the string(s) created in (2)
For me, they appear at the wrong end of the sorted list! I have tested this in Access 2007 and 2010 and it only happens in 2010. I'm using 32 bit Access on 64 bit Win 7 Pro.
Any Single line of code available?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a form with a button attached to each record that would allow the user to click the button and it would automatically open outlook and fill in the TO:, SUBJECT: and BODY: fields. Here is the code that I currently have:
Code:
Private Sub Command33_Click()
Dim strEmail As String
Dim strMsg As String
Dim oLook As Object
Dim oMail As Object
Set oLook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set oMail = oLook.CreateItem(0)

There are two issues I keep running into:
1. This code opens outlook and populates all of the fields but pastes the email incorrectly. Instead of pasting just the email (email@email.com) it pastes the html tags as well (email@email.com#mailto:email@email.com#) which means that the user would have to delete everything between the #'s in order to send the email every time.
2. I currently have the email BODY pulling from a table but this obviously limits what I can do. I would like to simply encode the BODY within the VBA code. The setup I am looking for is:
one paragraph
a blank line
a hyperlink to a website
a blank line
another paragraph
:eek: I have a large table with 1 damn corrupted record, the database can't be repaird, compact, I can't use the copy ,method since the table is over 9000 record sets.
I tried creating a new table and appending the non-corrupted record into it with no success, it is keep locking on me.
Have you guys tried anything else that works for this situation???
Thanks a bucnh
I have tables Account (PK acctnum) and Orders (linked via acctnum to Account). There are multiple orders per account that need to be billed individually. When creating an invoice I need to add the Account to the Invoice table and the Orders to the InvoiceDetail table. I use 2 queries to accomplish this. The first one though adds multiple records to the invoice table (because of the one to many relationship). I need to keep that so I don't bill anyone with no orders.
INSERT INTO Invoices ( InvoiceDate, AcctNum )
SELECT DISTINCT Date() AS InvoiceDate, Account.AcctNum
FROM Account INNER JOIN [Order] ON Account.AcctNum = Order.AcctNum
WHERE (((Order.OrderNum)=[Forms]![Account]![Order].[Form]![OrderNum]) AND ((Account.BillingCycle)="on discharge") AND ((Order.EndDate) Is Not Null) AND ((Order.Closed)=Yes) AND ((Order.PatientName)=[Forms]![Account]![Order].[Form]![PatientName]));
Is there any way to get it to only add one record? I've tried limiting it with several parameters to no avail.
How could I create a single table (matrix) type input view to allocate bank transactions to categories, noting one transaction can be allocated multiple categories with an associated percentage? What approach should I use in Access to get this? So say I have the following tables:
* Transactions
* Business Category
* Transaction-Business-Allocation (which includes)
- Transaction ID
- Business Category ID
- Percent Allocation
But in terms of the means of reviewing bank account items and allocating I really want a view like this (see attached image)The specific business category could be either selected specifically, or all included.
I thought that a phone book might be a good thing to begin with...
Should I be making every single entry field on it's own table and then pulling them from there into one form or....?
I want to "lock" a record in a table so that it is read only and cannot be accessed/edited/deleted. Is it possible to lock a single record in this way on a permanent basis? It's actually the first record in the table.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a query run that gives me a list of records that I view on a continuos form. What I want is to press a button and run a macro/Append Query to add a Single Summary record to another table.
For example my query spits out this data
Part # Quantity Serial Number
GO2 1 123
GO2 2 456
GO2 2 789
What I'm looking to get is
Part Number Total Quantity Serial Number 1 Serial Number 2 ..
GO2 5 123 456
I'm stuck on a couple of things.
1. Getting a new single row to append.
2. Getting Serial Numbers from several records to save on to a single record.
I have the following script which updates fields in a table.What I am after is a msgbox script to list the ID field value once it is updated.
Code:
Set rec = dbs.OpenRecordset("Select * from Stk_Merge_Delete_Register")
rec.AddNew
rec("StkItemID") = [Forms]![MergeItem]![txtStkFrom]
rec("RackID") = [Forms]![MergeItem]![txtRackFrom]

I replied to post of Exporting to the same XLS file on 1/4, but didn't receive a reply. I need to export out from one table to Excel grouped by client ID to each worksheet. The Excel report will have approximately 15-20 worksheets. The DoCmd.Output exports each client to their own worksheet. Is it possible for this command to export one report with multiple worksheets (one for each client)? If so, will the DoCmd.Output work and how will the group by client criteria be implemented in the code?
