I'm not sure what you call it but I call it auto-complete; the functionality that gives you a list of methods/commands when you are typing something like Me.Forms. When you type the Me. after the . it will bring up a list for you to see what you can do from there. That works fine for me but when I do the following: "CoCmd." the list will popup for a brief moment (much less than half of a second) which does not let me view the possible methods. Is this normal? If not does anybody have any idea how I might be able to fix it short of reinstalling MS Office (that is NOT an option). Thanks, Aaron
I wasn't sure if it should go in this section or the VB section. I apologize if it is in the wrong section.
I need, in some way or another, to be able to import an HTML code from an HTML file into Access. It would be ideal if the end result is a table with one memo field named "HTML".
I know is seems strange, but I need the code itself. I've managed to do a bit of duct-tape work, and import from HTML, but this results in only the text of the HTML code (Meaning the text of the web page, not the tags).
I know I'm crazy for wanting this, but is there anyone out there who can give direction/guidance?
I'm trying to get a field in my Data Access Page to display the last time a field was updated, I figured I would have to do this in HTML, after a lot of dead ends elsewhere. Here is the code:
<SCRIPT language=vbscript event=BeforeUpdate(dscEventInfo) for=MSODSC> <!-- Dim DateModified DateModified = Date 'Current System Date dscEventInfo.DataPage.Recordset.Fields("DateModified") = Date
--> </SCRIPT>
Any clues where I would enter this in the HTML source?
I am using the following vba code to create and send an html format email message. The key information in the email is a hyperlink to a network drive folder location using [Directory] as a hyperlink table value to get the address that is stored like this: K:PipelinesP9 - TEP ProductsMOP AID-1500Final Approved
The email hyperlink that is produced looks like this:
#K:PipelinesP9_-_TEP_ProductsMOP_AID- Dim appOutLook As Outlook.Application Dim MailOutLook As Outlook.MailItem Dim MOPVDB As String MOPVDB = "H:PGADSBYMOP VALIDATIONTRACKINGMOPVDBMOP Validation DatabaseFE.accdb" Set appOutLook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
I can create PDF's, DOCX's retaining the PDF formatting save them back to different network locations and then retrieve and attach to emails that are generated for different areas, however I have been asked to scrap the attachment and insert the content of the attachment directly into the body of the email. I have had a good browse around the net with no real approach. The code below simply gets the recepients email address adds the subject and then is looking for the .HTMLBody which simply comes through in the body as
"O:divAKLResgroupE - ReportsHTML FilesDRAFT TEST .html".
I'm trying to create a lotus notes email through vba that contains data from one of my access tables. Since I'd like the data to be displayed in a tabular fashion, I'm trying to format the body of the email in html.
I have a downtime system that was created by our IT department that records the downtime of the line stops, it has export to excel button that will export the downtime to excel based off the parameters of date and time. I want to do the export then import to access for downtime analysis. The problem I am having is the programmers export it as HTML with .xls file format. and the worksheet has a date associated with it as well as the spreadsheet has a tab that contains a date and I can't figure away to import to a fixed table. So I tried the transfer spreadsheet not knowing it was in HTML, couldn't recognize the format, then I tried transfer HTML, can't find the file because of .xls file format. I know I could re-save it as a excel file but was trying to keep the steps to a min. Is there a way to import even though it has a date attached to the file and spreadsheet tab.
I'm try to centre a logo image in the middle of email but I having issue doing it doesn't seem to matter what I try I can't seem to get it to do what I want . The code below works but doesn't centre the image
Code: Dim txtLogoURL As String 'this is for your logo txtLogoURL = "C:UsersDellPicturesoie_transparent.png" strHTML = strHTML & "<p>" strHTML = strHTML & "<a href=""http://www.testing.com/""><img border=""0"" src=" _ & txtLogoURL & "' align='Centre' width =200" & " alt=""testing"" /></a>"
I want to import HTML data which I get with email, to MS Access (2007). The problem is that files are badly formatted and standard import options are not avaliable for me.Basicly part of a file looks like that:
Before and after that there are many lines of code which is useless to me. Is there a way to access "Name", connect it to a row in my Access table and insert it's value (John) into the table?
I'm about to connect my DB to word. So I made a form where the user has to choose what entry to export. The data is inserted in a word file in different bookmarks. But there is one special task to insert the rich text so in this case the html formatted text is displayed like this:
I want to replace my String ("Evidence required of this please" ) in this code 1) following which works fine, with a variable (textToPaste) as in code 2) which doesn't work.
1) TextBox1 = "<div><font style=""BACKGROUND-COLOR:#FFFF00"">Evidence required of this please</font>"
I have a database to send e-mails from access trough Outlook. The issue is that I would like the body of the e-mail to have hyperlinks, colours, bolds and that I can get it from plain text.
This is the code I have:
Dim MyDB As Database Dim MyRS As Recordset Dim MyTable As Recordset Dim objOutlook As Outlook.Application Dim objOutlookMsg As Outlook.MailItem Dim objOutlookRecip As Outlook.Recipient Dim objOutlookAttach As Outlook.Attachment
[Code] ....
How can I make the body to be HTML format, or, can I have a e-mail template storaged in my PC and then indicate to use it whenever the e-mail is sent?
I Am working on a Access database that will build a excel spread sheet, that will be uploaded to Ebay via file exchange. I am looking to build a forum that will edit parts of a Html text in a column, such as the size and color.
I have small program in access database which contains about 100 cca tables, querys, forms, macros in total. Customer which both program from me, wants me to enable him to access this program not just from work, it wants to access it from home or when he is on business trip from hotel etc.
I am little confused how to achieve this and what are my options? I assume I have to set by database somewhere on server and so my customer could access it any time? Do I have to upsize access database to SQL express or similar?
Also, one more important question: is it possible to "convert" access database into HTML code or similar so it could be accessed via web browser without need to install microsoft access and with freedom that it can be opened from any type of PC OS (Linux, Mac etc)?
I searched everywhere for a solution to my problem. I have to create a field and set its format property to Percent using code. I know how to create the field using code but how do i get to Format property? Is that possible? Thanks in advance for your answers!
Just something I hate and been frustrated about and would like to know whether it can be solved. I don't know about your PC but my mouse's wheel does not work in the Visual Basic Editor. This applies to all Office apps.
When I scroll the wheel, nothing moves. It works great in other apps, though, such as Explorers, ....
Is it something that was meant at designed or am I missing something here?
I have a form with a combo box and a button, which when clicked, opens a report based on the option selected in the combo box. For this, in the event procedure of the button click, how do I code it so that if no option is selected in the combo box and the button is clicked, it should display a 'message' as a pop up. I know I should use the MsgBox option but I seem to be going wrong with the If loops. I doubt I am positioning the MsgBox command in the wrong place in the code below, as it does not pop up the msg box as I desire. Heres the code:
Private Sub btnMarket_Click() If Me.Combo0 <> "" And Not IsNull(Me.Combo0) Then Dim s As String s = "1=1"
I have a report with several sub reports that run and fill a table conditionally. The third sub report displays the records from this table. It works perfectly.
If I print a batch of records, it also works perfectly - but only for the first record. Previously, I had another report with several sub reports where the visibility of objects were controlled - this worked fine in a batch. Every subreport had the correct visibility settings.
In this case, I have a similar design, but instead of setting visibility on the various subreports, I am filling a table based on data in the subreport. As stated it works great for the first one in the group, or any single print.
I am exporting data from access 2007 to Excel 2007 using VBA code. I have a whole number, which I want displayed as whole number. But after the export, the number is using the 1000's seperator in Excel. So for example if my original number in access table is 12000, it is showing up as 12,000 in the excel file.It has something to do with the NumberFormat property. I have tried doing this but doesn't work.
I would like to update a lot of fields in my tables; about 120 different fields in 12 different tables. I would however like to keep it simple by using the SQL editor in MS Access by writing all the UPDATE queries and leave them to run while I do smething else. It seems to me however that you can only run one query at a time using the SQL editor. I thought I could separate one SQL editor from the other by using semicolon as in Oracle SQL editor etc., but that does not seem to work. Does anybody know how to do this in Access without writing a VBA code etc.?
I have created an union query to pull together the same data from 2 ODBC tables (seperate countries). As there is a clash in the client number I have added a "N" prefix to differentiate NZ from Australia, as below:
The problem I now have is that I get type mismatch when linking to another table. How could I change the SQL below to dictate the field format to number (providing it will accept the "N" prefix) or all to text?
