General :: How To Calculate Percentage Of Correct Responses PER RECORD
Sep 12, 2013
What I'm looking to do is calculate the success rate (%) of compliance rates with Quality Control paperwork. Essentially, each record has 12 "check box" fields representing the different QC sheets that are submitted each day.
I'm a Access novice trying to set up a table to record the answers to simple yes/no questions. I've got all the questions set up and yes/no fields set for their responses, but I now want to add a field that calculates the percentage of yes responses on that particular report and record that too. I'm trying to use the 'calculated' data type, but then I can't work out what to type as the expression.
I'm setting up a database for student evaluations. Students have several options as to how well the instructor did for each survey question. I've been able to set up the data entry form to my liking, and I can use a query to average the total answers to each question, including a count of how many people responded. HOWEVER, I need to calculate the percentage of responses for each option. For example, I need to know the percentage of students who picked "Excellent" for question 1, how many students chose "Very Good", how many chose "Good", etc., so on and so on for every question. How can I do that? I'm completely stuck and a novice user. HELP!!:eek:
In a report, I need to calculate the percentage of clients that respond "Yes" to a question on a survey. I need to create a query that will return the count of the number of "Yes" responses, and the number of total responses. For example, if 10 clients complete the survey, and seven respond "Yes", I need the 2 fields in the query to be 7 and 10. So far, I have only been able to do this using multiple queries. Thank you.
Hi, Thanks in advance. I am trying to calculate percentage, it has to round to the nearest, and also if the percentage is greater than 100 then it has to write 100%. formulae: c=(a/b)*100, example: c=(8/3)*100 =266.66% but this is more than 100% so i need this as 100% example2: c=(2/3)8100=66.66% but i need it to round as 67%
i've 3 controls on a form a,b,c. so c has to calculate by itself when they enter data on a and b. thanks, sam
I'm working on a vacation/time off tracker and was hoping to use the collect data feature. I've created a form where a user submits their requested date and number of hours, at which point I'd like the form to be sent to their manager for approval. The manager's email address is stored in a table. Once the manager marks yes or no, I'd like that reflected in the time off requests table, and an email sent to the requester letting them know if it was approved or not. Is this possible? How would I go about it. I'm pretty new to Access, learning on the fly, but I'm pretty good at modifying code to match my situation/working backwards if you have any examples for me to look at.
I have an Access 2009 report that displays the sums at the bottom of some columns. Is there a way to calculate and display the percentage one sum is of another?
To calculate the percentage of the number of passengers in the total number of passengers per single order using query:
Code: SELECT
Code: A.Date, A.Plate, A.Pax, A.Agency, A.Code, IIf ([pax]> 0, Round ([Pax] / (SELECT Sum (Pax) FROM Sheet2 as B WHERE B.Date = A.Date and B.code = A.code), 2), 1) AS KOR FROM Sheet2 AS A ORDER BY A.Date;
Query works fine in all cases except one, and that is when the encounter a same order in one day
01/04/2013. D_1 0pax 01/04/2013. D_1 5pax
in this case the formula gives a coefficient of 1 to 0 passengers and coefficient of 1 to 5 passengers, should be given a score of 0 0 of passengers and 1 to 5 passengers
I have a problem with Microsoft access 2003. I want to design a Check in/Check out Time Data base for my university final term project. In this data base I need to show the total of the working hours of each personnel in a month.( for instance: 124 hours and 55 minutes in one month). But adding up the hours, when the time variable reaches 24 then time automatically goes back to 01:00. As a result, the correct total hours cannot be calculated....
I have two numbers, i need to calculate how much percentage of one is the other. E.g
num_1 = 100 num_2 = 10 percent = 10%
Users enter a dollar amount (retainer) and my code should calculate the percent of the total proposal amount.
Actual Code
Private Sub cmdSubmit_Click() Dim intProposalTotal As Double 'if i use interger i get "overflow" error intProposalTotal = Nz(DLookup("ProposalTotal", "qryPropsalTotalForRetainer", "proposal_id=" & Me.proposal_id), 0)
[Code] .....
billing_retainer_percent is formatted to Percent with 0 decimals. In the actual table Type - Number, Format - Percent, Field Size - Single. What i get is 100% instead of 10%.
I'm very new to Access and I'm attempting to write an expression in a query that will calculate the % of the count of "Exchange" field (Exchange is a text field and is grouped and the count based on each unique name) where the total count is based on the filter where "Group" = 'FS' or 'S'.
The below seems to work, but there is a better way of going about this (especially if I have to add more filter criteria). I added a pic of the query I'm trying to build.
PercentofTotal: (Count([Exchange])/DCount(Count([Exchange]),"[Holdings]","[Asset Group] = 'FS' OR [Asset Group]='S'"))
I obtained data for earnings by industry for men and women over time (5 years). I developed crosstab query that showed the average earnings for men and women for the 5 years.
Now I want within this query to calculate the differential between men and womens average earnings and calculate a percentage within this crosstab query. I tried to use Expressionbuilder with little luck.
I am trying to count how many of the "same" and "differences", as well as calculate the percentages of the number of "same" over the total amount. To clarify, I work at a nursing home, and I need to calculate the number of people who were admitted to our facility and then to the hospital for the same diagnosis, and a different diagnosis. Then, out of the total number of people who were admitted to the hospital from our facility, I need to calculate how many of those people had the same diagnosis or a different diagnosis.
Also, I need to categorize these diagnosis by each type of diagnosis.
Code: Private Sub Command26_Click() If Forms![test site]![prp test].Form.[A Right Answer] = -1 Then Forms![test site]![number correct] = Forms![test site]![number correct] + 1 End If DoCmd.FindNext End Sub
Then when clicked it checks a yes/no box to see if "A right Answer" is the correct yes. Then it should pop to the main form and take the number correct cell and add one to it. I am trying to get the record to go to the next record inside the sub-form but docmd.findnext seems to be wrong too.
OK, my database is also complete, thanks to the help of this forum!!!
My next question is:
I have a switchboard that has a button for my data entry form. The lady that will use this form will, of course, enter all her records using the form into the database. Because of what she does, she will have to go back to records on a daily basis to make corrections to individual records. I would like a way to put a command button on my switchboard that will say something like "Correct Records". She will hit this button and it will ask her for the medical record number she wants to correct and then will take her to that record to correct.
Is there a way to do this or is there a better way? Currently I have a button that will ask for a day range and then will bring up a query of those records for her to correct but I would really like to be able to somehow bring up the individual record, by medical records number, for her to correct instead of going through a long list of records that were input on a single day. Thanks so much for all your help getting this thing up and running!!!!
I have a form which contains fields from my main table and also has a subform containing a query based on a filtered list of my main table.
I have a combobox on the form to select a name and pass it to the query to filter on.
The list of names is in a table called tblnames which has 2 fields, name and ID. I have linked the ID field on this table to a field called nameid on my main table which is a numeric field (and that allows be to select a name from a list when I enter data into my main table.
The xox is unbound, control source empty and row source set to tblname.
The combobox is only showing a list of numbers (I assume they are the id field from tblname). Yesterday I had the list of names showing and I checked a backup and the only difference I can see is the row source property refers to the name field in tblname but I don't know how I got it there. When I click on the list box for row source I only get offered a list of my objects.
I'm new to this and I've created a report that shows evaluation scores before and after for some training we are delivering. The Query I've created works out the percentage of change for each record. The problem I'm having is that I can't now summarize these percentages for each instructor.
What I'm entering to retrieve the percentage score is:
I have a subform based on a query. In that query, I have calculated values for price+tax and another price+discount+tax. Now I have a conditional formatting that if the gross total is not equal to amount due, the amount due box will turn red. However even if they are equal visually, it still turns red. Ex. The gross total is 336.00 and the amount due is 336.00 also, so it should NOT turn red, but it does. When I click on the amount due control, the value turns into 335.999999195337. How do I tell access not to make 336.00 into 335.999999195337.
