General :: How To Put St Beside Number 1 In A Date

Feb 14, 2013

I'm putting in a date and I need to have the small "st" beside the number 1.

I'm not sure how to do this or if there is a chr() call for it.

General :: Calculating Number Of Weeks Between Start And Finish Date

Jun 9, 2015

I am calculating number of weeks between start and finish date. Some of the users have questioned the validity of calculation as they are not too sure if this is being calculated as Monday to Friday week or does it work by calculating 7 days. If the latter is true, then I should see a decimal value. I am using date diff formula.

Convert General Number To Correct Year Date Data Type

Jan 10, 2014

In a query I would like to extract the last ten years. This is what the data looks like:12/13 (Data type = text)(Short for 2012/2013 which actually represents 7/1/2012 to 6/30/2013.)

I am able to extract the "12" and turn it into the general number 2012 using: ("20" & Left([TAXYR],2))*1..But how can I convert that to the data type-date so I can include those records in the past ten years from todays date? I was trying to use DateAdd but I think the problem is the data type and where converting to date gives me "1905" or "9/##/1905." I get why it does that, but is there a workaround? Maybe adding 39,785 days?? (2014-1905)*365

General :: Auto Number PK Change Starting Number?

Dec 18, 2013

I have a table with an auto number PK. This table will contain orders. I'd like to use the PK from this table as the Invoice number on the invoice. I'd like to have it start at a number other than "1" just because it looks better on an invoice. I don't know how to do this. I looked at the table design to see if there were options available to me there but couldn't find anything. Is it possible? (I do not know how to use code.)

Adding A Number To A Date [Can Date Cope]

Sep 17, 2007

Here's what I currently have:

- A table with a number of fields about a course
- A course commence date
- A number of days the course will take field
- No course end date

Is there a way to easy add one field to the other to:
Give end date i.e. do I need to write the code to validate all dates which bring the date over a month e.g. start date 29/sep/2007 and number of days 5.

Does date have the functionality already?

Thanks in advance

Date Formatting (General Date To Short Date)

Aug 5, 2005

I am creating an online post, similar to a guestbook. When a user submits an entry, I am storing the date and time in a column titled "Timestamp", which is formatted 8/4/2005 9:16:58 ("General Date"). I am running the table through a query which is then posted on the web.

What I would like to do is this: I would like to use Timestamp to display the date that the entry was submitted, but not the time (basically, "Short Date"). Can I exclude the time using a query without changing the actual data stored in each record of the table? I understand that the time stored is completely different than the time displayed, even in the table. How can I do this?

General :: Deduct Quantities Based On Date - Start From Lowest Date

Sep 9, 2014

I have attached a sample of a database.

Table 1 has all the items I am trying to sell with sell by date after which I cannot sell this item. Then in Table 2 I have forecasted sales. So now I am trying to calculate stock consumption to see if I will be left with any stock that I cannot sell.

So now somehow I need to deduct sales forecast from my stock holding but it needs to go by date i.e. consume all stock for Item 1 with date 16/09 before moving to Item 1 with sale by date 23/09.

So based on the attached example, I can see that on 16/09 I will consume only 5 cases from sell by date 16/09 and another sale is 18/09. So that would give me information that I will be left with 95 items dated 16/09, which I cannot sell because they will be out of date.

Ideally I would like also to include the logic that if Item is out of date it would move to the next sell by date.

So in this case sale of Item 1 forecasted for 18/09 (94) would consume the whole stock (50) with date 23/09 and another 44 from date 01/10

For Item 2 I can see that units with Sell by date 30/09 will be consumed on 25/09 and I will start taking stock from next sell by date which is 14/10.

Query Date From DateTime - General Date Format Field.

Mar 10, 2006

I have a date and time stamp in a Date/Time field of General Date format (3/1/2006 7:52:25 AM).

I wish to select query on the table's Date/Time field by date portion only (3/1/2006) and not include the time portion (7:52:25 AM) of the field.

Using this expression in the query's criteria - "Between [Enter Start Date: (MM/DD/YY Format)] And [End Date: (MM/DD/YY]" will not return the date ranges as desired without also typing in the full time string.

How can the date integer be parsed out and the query properly expression ed on the criteria field without using VB?

In a date field is it possible for a date that is in the future to be hi-lighted in a different colour.

E.g. todays date is 25/03/14

So anything with todays date or previous would stay in black

24/03/14
25/03/14

but anything from 26/03/14 forward would be in red

26/03/14

Then will change to black when the 26th comes.

Number To Date Conversion

Jul 22, 2006

My challenge is to fix a broken report that results from a query. The query is suppose to bring up all records within a date range. The problem is that the table was designed with the date field being text. Dates such as 06/12/2006 are entered without the beginning 0, so simple queries do not work, and the data is simply 6122006. I think the data needs converted to date first, possibly by extracting and converting. I do not know how to do this because of the missing digit inconsistency. The table cannot be changed directly to a date field without data loss.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I use this to get a week number for a date range:

WeekNo: DatePart("ww",[Timestamp])

Is there a way that I could also get just the first date from that week number to appear in the query as well?

ie. if Week 1 is 3/1/07-3/7/07 the query would show 3/1/07 as well as week 1. TIA

General :: Auto Number Other Than Just 1

Mar 14, 2013

I am creating a file and I am not stuck on the last part. I have to keep track of which numbers of a particular item is sold due to serial number tracking. Items are bundled in sets of 50 so I need to form to auto populate the next set of numbers (by 50) when I create a new line.

I found how to change my start number to 1751 but I can not find how to have a Begining number of 1751 Ending number 1800 and have the next line auto populate begin $ 1801 end # 1850. I have a feeling it will not be the Auto Number option and I am sure there is another way but I just can't find it.
