Getting error '2450' when click Access close button to exit.
Run-time error '2450': ECN cannot find the referenced form 'frmLogin'.
Note: After login my login form is visible to, cause to get login user id into "frmECN" Form. But When I'm in "frmECN" Form and enter data then close to exit Access main close button I'm getting 2450 error.
Access 2010. I've created a database on my thumbdrive and I'm now wishing to place it on our network for multi-users. In copying/pasting the database the the network drive I'm getting the following error message when either trying to Compact and Repair and/or just simply close the darn thing.
Error message:You can't exit the Microsoft Access now.If you're running a Visual Basic module that is using OLE or DDE, you may need to interrupt the moduel.
I have a continuous form, with data entry fields in both the form header and the detail section.
I've attached an "On Exit" event to the ProdQty field in the detail section. The prime function of the event code is to run an update query on the table (which is the data source for the form).
The code executes properly (update query runs successfully and form refreshes) when I Tab out of that field. It also executes properly when I use the mouse to click on another field in the detail section.
However, when I use the mouse to click on a field in the form header or form footer sections, the On Exit code does not execute properly.
Here's the On Exit Sub:
Private Sub ProdQty_Exit(Cancel As Integer)
On Error GoTo ProdQty_Error
If (Int(Me!ProdQty) <> Me!ProdQty) Or ((Me!ProdQty / Me!LDU) < 1) Or (Int(Me!ProdQty / Me!LDU) <> (Me!ProdQty / Me!LDU)) Then
Me.ProdQty.BackColor = 255
Me.ProdQty.ForeColor = 16777215
Beep
MsgBox "The quantity you entered is invalid for this product." & vbCrLf & vbCrLf & "Please check the LDU (least divisible unit) and enter a new quantity.", vbExclamation, "Quantity Error"
DoCmd.GoToRecord acActiveDataObject, "Order Form", acPrevious
DoCmd.GoToRecord acActiveDataObject, "Order Form", acNext
DoCmd.GoToControl "ProdQty"
Exit Sub
Else
Me.ProdQty.BackColor = 255
Me.ProdQty.BackColor = 16777215
Me.ProdQty.ForeColor = 0
DoCmd.SetWarnings False
DoCmd.OpenQuery "Update Product Qty in Current Order", acViewNormal, acEdit
Me.Requery
Me.Refresh
Me.Repaint
DoCmd.GoToControl "ProductCombo"
End If
ProdQty_Error:
Exit Sub
End Sub
Here's the Update Query:
UPDATE [Current Order] INNER JOIN Products ON [Current Order].[Product #] = Products.[Product #] SET [Current Order].Quantity = Forms![Order Form]!ProdQty, [Current Order].Price = IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="CS",[Products]![Contract Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="EDW",[Products]![Ed Wholesale]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="R2",[Products]![R2 Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="R3",[Products]![R3 Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="R4",[Products]![R4 Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="R5",[Products]![R5 Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="R6",[Products]![R6 Net]*([Forms]![Order Form]![ProdQty]/[Forms]![Order Form]![ProdLDU1]),IIf([Forms]![Order Form]![PriceCodeCombo]="W",[Products]![Wholesale Net]))))))))
WHERE ((([Current Order].[Product #])=[Forms]![Order Form]![Product1]));
I tried copying that code to "After Update", "On Change", and "On Lost Focus" events but the results were the same.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
enable me to run some code before a button is clicked I want to be able to click a button via VBA code.Basically I used the auto button wizard to make an add record button.To ensure a shed loads of if checks and queries on the entered form data run I wanted to make this button invisible, then make a new button running code not embedded macros to run my checking module then click.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI know how to use a callback to to action a button click directly.
But I also have a drop down list of my buttons on a form (they are dynamically created, so the details are stored in a table), I want to select a button from my drop down lists and then action the button selected.
EDIT: In short - I want to execute a ribbon button via vba knowing its Control.ID.
i want to ask is there any way to open another access database using when click button at form.. for example i have tracking.accb then at my switchboard form, i would like to have a button that can go to another access which is borrow.accb. can these possible for me to do it..?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am sending an email using SendObject. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it makes the computer freeze up with no error message. I have tried this with Outlook running or not running, seems to make no difference.
Code:
'The sub procedure below sends e-mail in response to a click on the Send button.
Private Sub SendMessagesButton_Click()
'For Access, define some object variables and make connections.
Dim myConnection As ADODB.Connection
Set myConnection = CurrentProject.Connection
Dim myRecordSet As New ADODB.Recordset
myRecordSet.ActiveConnection = myConnection
[Code] ....
I have added some MsgBox () to narrow down where it crashes. It is after 'Five' and Before 'Six'. On the line:
Set appOutlookRecip = .Recipients.Add(eMailAddress)
I am mystified as to why it works OK sometimes, and not others. The email address being used is valid.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOften I use Labels as buttons due to the fact I can colour them the way I want, and use the on click event to trigger code.
The code below however works for a command button, but not a label button.
DoCmd.OpenForm "frmdatetime"
Do While Forms!frmdatetime!OKFlag.Caption = "False"
DoEvents
Loop
When this code is run by clicking on a command button, it works fine.
If run by clicking on a label, frmdatetime opens, but the mouse will not work on either of the 2 open forms unless you go down to the windows task bar, jump onto another window, and back onto frmdatetime.
If I remove the loop with the DoEvents in it, then the problem does not occur.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why this behaviour occurs.
Thanks
Richard
I have a form that has a command button on it. When the user clicks the command button I want the form that was up to be exited. I cannot find the correct syntax for this. Please help.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a database that had some code that enabled the user to click a button and it would take information from one Access query or table and paste it into specific locations in Excel. This is important because the last worksheet has specific formatting in place.
If it didn't, I'd just use the transfer spreadsheet option and not even bother opening Excel at all with code.
I've got it working well except for the last part. The last query being copied has eight records and only one is being sent to Excel. Same code as the other queries where all of their data is going to the right spot in Excel with the right number of records.
Private Sub AM_Top_25_Click()
DoCmd.SetWarnings False
DoCmd.OpenQuery "delete_ShortPartItems", acNormal, acEdit
DoCmd.OpenQuery "append_to_Short_Part_Items", acNormal, acEdit

Code:
Private Sub Command124_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_Command124_Click
Dim stDocName As String
Dim stLinkCriteria As String
stDocName = "PRINTSQUARE 1"
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, 3, , , , 4
Exit_Command124_Click:
Exit Sub
Err_Command124_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_Command124_Click
End Sub
An command button would open a form to display some query result, and how could I do something after user exit that form!! I have tried to put some action afater the Docmd and EXIT_COMMAND124_CLICK:, both didn't work!!
How can I run an Access 2003 file automatically, after double click the Access 2003 Icon?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to run a function when my application closes. But it must run in all cases, so running it on the last form, or in a hidden form, is not good enough. Even if I'm in design mode with no forms loaded, I want it to run.
For background info - my app is locked down tight against clients poking around. I have got a way for me as developer to get into the "back door", and what I'm trying to do is make sure when I'm finished doing my stuff that the app is locked again without me having to remember to do it.
Hi all,
How would i close access via vba after a function runs?
I know how to close a form, but id like to close the entire thing.
Thanks in advance
Ok if I sound like I do not know what I am talking about, that would be correct. That is why I am asking here.
So I have this form called frm_UserMaintenance
On The form I have a button
I would like to have an OnClick event that will activate one of the dialogue boxes on the tools menu.
Heres the catch. The menu is not visible and i do not want to make it visible. This makes using sendkeys a non option.
Any ideas????
I have a form on which I have a button that I want the user to click after a cetrain field on that form is updated.
I display a little pop-up box saying to make sure that a user clicks on that button.
Is there a way to know that this button was clicked? Is there a way to not proceed with anything else until that button is actually clicked?
Thanks.
Hi,
I have a form with a number of drop-down lists on it and each of these lists is bound to a field in a table.
When I return the results of a search to this form I want to allow users to be able to cycle through the records and change them if they want. However, the changes should only be saved if the user clicks on the "update record button". This button is simply the save record button by the MS Access wizard.
At the moment if they change the value in one of the drop down lists and move onto the next record the change is saved even though the user doesn't click any button. I want to prevent this from happening.
Any ideas on how I might achieve this?
If I prevent "AllowEdits" in the form properties I can't update the form using the "update record button" either.
Many Thanks,
Afternoon people,
Just a query (no pun intended). Is there a way to ping an ip address which is taken from a table and at the click of a button it pings? Bringing up the cmd app to show the results.
Cheers,

I currently have a form with a button that once clicked displays a word document,however I have to double click on the button even though the code is on the single click event property.The only line of code is as follows
OLEFile.Action = acOLEActivate
Does any body know how I can get the single click to work ?
Hi all....
I have a list box that I can select mulitple items from - I then click a search button and it runs a query that finds what I am looking for from a table and then displays the results in a subform.
In the subform I can input weights and get a percent....anyhow.
How do I set up a button so that it will print out a report or the report from the subform information that is currently being viewed.
Also, I can already do this by clicking a button on the form and pulling up the installed report program but, you need to input data to get this report.
I kinda want this button to be a "I need it now" type of print option.
Thanks...as always my questions are probably confusing...:D
I was wondering if there is any way to control a user's input in to a form such that data entry does not automatically create a new record. Is there any way to collect all inputs in the text/combo boxes and create the new record only when a button is clicked? Cheers, David.
