Is there a way to have a datasheet open with the last record at the bottom of the page? I now have it opening to the last record, but it has the last record at the top and can't see the records before it without scrolling.

One is a form with a default view of Single Form (which contains combo boxes).I want to have the user select (click) on a record in the datasheet and have the second form open to that record. The datasheet form acts as an advanced search on two title fields.I tried the open form macro but I dont know how to have to second form open to a specific record.

When a state name happens to be at the end of the page the individual cities appear on the next page with no State heading. I solved the second page problem by setting the "repeatSection = Yes" in the Section Header (though I haven't shown that in the example below).
But the previous page (which just shows the State Name and no cities looks dumb. Is there some sort of solution.??
(Actually I would also like any State that continues to a next page to not just have the state name but something like
" Colorado (Continued)" Is there anything I can do in VB to make a page break if the section is going to print but therer isn't enough room for one detail line?

I got a form / subform relationship.how to locate the bottom record, when the user after some queries input at the main form. I desire to display the bottom end record (EOF), instead of some sorting and display the last record at top of the subform!!
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create an invoice report. I want to add all the costs from the detail section in my footer. I have accomplished this in either the Report footer and/or the page footer, but the problem is that the report footer doesn't go to the bottom of the page, and the page footer doesn't go to just the last page. I have tested a bunch of suggestions that don't seem to work.
1. Print page footer with Report header = NO - only works if your report is two pages or more.
2. Private Sub PageFooterSection_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)

The Page functions worked, but it did not change the results from page to page. If it was a two page report, then the if statement is false and the text box was not visible on page 1, but it also was not visible on page 2.
I am using MS Access 2003.I have a report whose Detail band contains a zero-height Comment field positioned at the bottom of the other single row of fields. It has Can Grow = Yes, so it sits waiting to grow if there's any data in this Comment field.
However, when this report prints, if the Comment field just "happens" to straddle two pages, it gets positioned only on the first page and gets cut off in the process. (See attachment 2.) Ideally, the entire field should display on the second page instead.
If I adjust the margins in Page Setup, I can fix this on this particular report. However, depending on the data being reported, these new margin settings can create a problem for the same report with different data. (All depends on where the Comment falls.)I'd like the report to work consistently, no matter the data or margins.
I have a form "IntUnderwriterSearchByName" which is based on the query "Search by Name". This form opens with a parameter (please enter name of broker) and is set out like a datasheet with the following fields- "Broker Name", "Domicile", "Broker Code" and a couple of others. I'd like to be able to click on a record and open the form "IntUnderwriterPopUp" so that the details of that specified record are displayed.
Broker Code is what I'd like the form to look for and this Broker Code is unique for every one of the 900 or so records. This code can be numerical e.g. 01233 but also can be a mixture of both e.g. EU2885. It is also worth noting that this code is not the primary key- i have an autonumber (called ID) that does this- but this field does not appear on the form.
I have a report which is grouped by employee number - each group can have one or many records displayed - it works fine, but can look untidy sometimes when there are more records than will fit without wrapping onto another page; this is particularly prevalent when there are two or three groups - the third one may run over onto the next page, without group headers.
Is there anyway to force a page break at the bottom of a group if that group is not going to fit on the current page in its entirety?
I have a report which shows the results of two separate queries in a simple table view.
One set of data varies in size depending on the amount of records and the other is a fixed size and never changes.
I'm wanting to make my report always show the fixed size data in the bottom right corner of the page when its printed.
I've tried putting it in the footer section of the report but don't want it to affect the size of the details section and just show next to the other query results.
Is this possible and if so how would I achieve this?
Can I open a tabed form to a specific page?
If I'm in the form I can move focus by using
Me.[Page 12].SetFocus
but when opening using that code produces and error Page not available?

(i.e. level one has selected options.. level three has admin)

when i click on the datasheet row and delete the row it only delete the record from tbl_SerialTrans but record on tbl_Serial was not deleted

"Record:1 out of 34" and the arrow buttons at the bottm of a form(s)?
I would rather use my own Next Record and Previous Record buttons so it would dieal to disable/hide these arrow buttons.

I created a report that only has gridlines around the outside border of the entire report (rather than around each record). I want the grid line style on the last/bottom record to be solid so it boxes in all the records. When I change the "Gridline Style Bottom" for the records, each record has a bottom gridline rather than an outside box around all the records.

I've got that but when you click on the control button in the first datasheet to bring up the second datasheet the second datasheet comes up like the normal datasheet view in access, not in my navigation form. Is there a way to make it come up in the navigation form? Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way.

When I open my form, it doesn't open at the top of the page. How do I get it to open up at the top, so that I do not have to use the scroll button to go up to top?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWell, I couldn't find this using the search, so here it goes:I have a form in which I enter data to create a new client. Within that form I have a subform in datasheetview which is based on a query which holds/retrieves certain (important) fields from a table that holds case info. So in that one view the client data is displayed on the form and all cases and the most important data from those cases is displayed nicely in one screen.Now, when a client calls I navigate to that client and see all previous and all current cases that are open and/or closed for this customer. So the customer says case this and that number is the case I need to discuss with you. Now, what I would like is to be able to click or double click anywhere on the line that, for instance, says case nr 55, so that the form(s) belonging to case nr 55 pop up and all info concerning that case is displayed and can be edited as needed. My problem is: I'm still a newbie and if it was a simple thing like using the on_click event to open the form that's needed, I would not have to post this question. But that can't be done (as far as I know) since the subform is based on a query which is displayed in dataview.Am I overlooking a very simple solution to this problem or is it really going to be as difficult as I think it's going to be?For clarification of the idea I have included a screenshot of the form in question. I assume there are tons of databases out there which use such a layout or idea as this one. Please, never mind the buttons etc. It is still a work in progress. ;)
