Oct 2, 2013I am trying to send tasks to other people using access vba. I had used before in my database but was using early binding and now through version issues of office I am trying to recreate the code using late binding, however I am getting various problems with certain lines of code.
Primarily .datedue line I am getting run time error 438 object does not support

Oct 9, 2012my database lag whenever i start searching, not really bad but i could notice that it blinks whenever i press a key on my keyboard. computer has a big ram (4gb), i5, with 500gb HDD... lots of free space. the database file is only 6.9MB..maybe there is a code that disable or makes the blinking unnoticed?

Aug 27, 2013I would like to filter a table with 3 fields: Name, Surname, and Chart number.I would like to have the results in a subform designed in the same form.In fact every patient can have several admisions (1, 2 or more).I have arranged the main form named men with 3 text unbound box (name, surname, CCN) and 2 button clear and run the query.I have created a query .The problem is that when i push the button the SQL starts and a different window is opened. I would like that when you type the name for example in real time the subform should select the record with that criteria. Moreover I would like that when in the subform appears the records with the criteria the users could click on the selected record to open a different form.

Jul 8, 2012I want to have a list box, which is populated with information from a table/query, to 'filter' what it displays based on what i type in a text box, but i need it to search multiple fields. E.g. say I have a field called name and another called address, and say there are 3 johns in the name field of the table, i want the list box to filter all the other names out and just show me the johns and update automatically. but using the same text box i would like to also be able to search addresses and filter them.
code for the 'On Change' event of the text box to reload the query in the list box. I need to put in the 'criteria' section of the query, i have sound this so far but unsure if its right for every field in the query:

Changing ControlSource Binding
Aug 29, 2005I have a form. The form is bound to an underlying query which is a left join between two tables. (SELECT ... T1 LEFT JOIN T2 ON T1.RID = T2.RID ....)
Now, what I want to happen is the value in T1.RID does have a match in T2, then I want a sequence of text controls to be bound to fields from T2, otherwise I want them to be bound to fields in T1.
I almost have it working. I have Form_Current() and T1_RID_Change() both calling a routine

The problem is that when I change the value in T1.RID, most of the times it does change the controlsource appropriately. But other times it lags. It keeps the wrong controlsource until I try changin RID again, and sometimes the text boxes are just blank, so I am not sure what is going.
Am I ultimately going to be able to make this scenario work?

It has been merrily ticking over since December and has accrued several thousand records. To get access to this data in new and interesting ways Im trying evolve my rudimentary search function which currently only works for diagnosis, name and consultant (in otherword text fields).
Thus I have an unbound form that has various input boxes on it. I have borrowed some code to power the form and have replaced with own fields:

Binding Recordset With Combo Problem

I am stuck in a problem for many days now.
In the form, on which I am working, there are 2 dropdown lists (combo box).
The data in the first combo is coming from a list and in the second combo, I am running a query, and depending upon the selection in the first combo, the data in the second combo may come from one of many tables in the database.
What I want is to have control over the data, before it is being displayed in the second combo, as the data in have many null and 'same name' entries. But what I don't want is to change the original data in the tables.
Till now, I have been trying to make use of persistant recordset, that is, by storing the recordset in an external table, changing its data and binding it to the second combo. But I am unable to bind the data.
What in your opinion, is the best approach to accomplish this. A snippet will be of great help as I am not a experienced programmer.

If i create report in reports section and after that i want to see it in my code as that same object and set his record or data source property how to do this??
I know that you can set the recordsource property directly in report but it includes some values from textbox in my form that doesn't show corectly(it's an array of numbers,and i don't know why it doesn't accept it).

The line of code works and it returns all of the values in SerialCardId where it's = to varCode but it doesn't go through with the shipDate requirement. It's instead returning all of the dates with the found value.
