General :: Checkboxes - Create Text Field On A Report That Show All Yes Answers
Apr 8, 2013I have multiple fields in a table that are set up as Yes/No and display as checkboxes on a form. Now I need to create a text field on a report that showes all the Yes answers. The text field needs to figure out if it's a Yes answer, then display the field name, if there is more than one yes answer in the fields it is looking at, it should separate each with a "," . This is a large text field, that could show as many as 10 Yes answers.
What is the best way to go about doing this? I use Access 2010

May 15, 2015I just got a request to add a new text box to a form called "EstimatedDuration" and trying to a command button that when clicked, it will insert 30 minutes or #00:30:00" into the box. I'll wind having 5 or six buttons with 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, etc. Basically, this will be used for new projects in my database and for management to click one of the buttons to add an estimated time duration of how long the "think" the project will take to complete.

Mar 23, 2005I have a form with date/time field. I have the default value at =Now(). My problem is I would like for this particular field to stay with the current date/time all the time. I mean if I created a form last week with the date/time of 3/14/2005 12:54:34 PM and go back to the same form to edit something this week I would like for that particular date/time to be the current date/time and not the date/time from the week and time the original form was created.

So basically what I want is when I push an update it will auto check to see if the db is current if not then it closes an opens the new db. When it opens the new db i want it to display a msg box or form that shows the new updates. Then if they exit an reopen it wont show the option.

General :: Report That Show Daily Activities - Adding Time Lengths
Feb 25, 2014I have a report that shows the daily activities. it shows how long it takes to do each task. however some tasks are 8 hours andsome are 10 hours. when all these times are added together it will give the time on a clock. not a total of hours spent.
i.e.
treatment1 : 8 hours
treatment2: 10 hours
this will give 06:00 in short time. in medium time it will give 18:00.
however if I add another 12 hours to that it will give 06:00.
I want it to show either 1 day and 4 hours /or 30 hours.

Apr 13, 2014I am building a database to enter staff phone statistics. As an example my fields would be - Name, Date, Staffed time, Available time, Aux time and then calculated fields to show the percentage of time i.e %Aux, %Available etc.
My problem is the formatting of the times entered as they are duration not time. Say staffed time is entered as 08:00:00 for 8 hours and Aux time 03:57:21. The only format I can see to suit is date time but then Access takes these entries as 8am and 3:57am is there a way to change this to work as duration hh:mm:ss?

Oct 9, 2014I need a Select Query to display data on a form. When an order is appended to my table the field named Printed is updated with the time it was appended. When my form opens it needs to display the field Printed and a field I call MinutesFromPrint. This field needs to display the total minutes elapsed from the time in the Printed field to the current time. My expression is not working.
MinutesFromPrint: DateDiff("n",[Printed],Now())
Here are a couple of samples of my results when I run the query at 7:49 A.M.:

The properties of the table is listed below
Table Name: Test
Field Name: ADMDAT2 (Text)
DISDAT2 (Text)
Operation Date (Date/Time)
I have written a query to populate a field where the Operation Date is between the ADMDAT2 and DISDAT2
Expr1: IIf([ADMDAT2] Is Null,"",IIf([Operation Date]>=[ADMDAT2] And [Operation Date]<=[DISDAT2],"Match"))
Unfornately it returns and ERROR message... I believe this may be because, the data type of the field, matching a Text with a Date/Time, I have rerun the query using a sample table where all the fields are Date/Time, and it work perfectly.
What i need help with how do i convert a text field into a Date/Time in a query?
So i can place that in the query before i populate the Test table. therefore it all should be date/time
