Im working on an access 2000 application, So far I'm able to open internet explorer page and navigate to any URL and get the sorce of the page. But what I realy want to do is browsing to page inside the form, and I need to do it with access 2000.
View RepliesI have a button which runs some VB, it brings up various message boxes as it prints a report to file, runs a query etc etc. I am hoping to display a basic form, which simply covers most of the screen and states "Please Wait" or something. I have already built the please wait form (frm_please_wait) and have set it to pop up. I have added it to my VB to open before I run the queries/output to file however the messages still appear on top..
How can I force the form to display on top of everything else in access ( it is only visibly for a few seconds, depending on the spec of the pc).
Can I open a tabed form to a specific page?
If I'm in the form I can move focus by using
Me.[Page 12].SetFocus
but when opening using that code produces and error Page not available?
I am a newbie to ms access and forms and I have a small problem with a form. The solution has lots of different forms with different tabs for each section. This particular tab has a few sub forms in it. When I switch into the specific tab in question, the screen moves down ever so slightly and I always have to scroll up to see all the other tab headings.Is there a way to do something by code or a property setting I can use to make the page start from the top without users having to scroll up each time?

I have a data access page needs a filter by a dropdownlist, the dropdownlist used is a html control and I use javascript to filter the data programmaticlly in the onchanged event of the control.
MSODSC.DataPages(0).Recordset.Filter="AppID = 3";
My problem is, when this statement runs, the page refreshes. But I don't need the page refreshes, it set the dropdownlist text to the default text, not the value user select. The browser is IE7.
How can I stop the page refresh itself?

i have created a login form that opens the home page when the correct credentials are entered. i would like to add an 'access level' so that when logging in the database checks the access level and opens the appropriate home page. (i.e. level one has selected options.. level three has admin)
i just need a code that checks what the users level is and then open home lvl#
(i.e. user level 1 - open 'home lvl1', user level 2 - open 'home lvl2 etc)...
I'm using a certain font - Guttman Yad-Brush (Hebrew, comes as a part of windows in Hebrew) in some forms and reports. On the design view of the objects, everything is OK. But when I try to display the form, or a print-preview of the report, Access refuses to show me that font. The text is clearly visible, in Hebrew, but in another font (I think Times-New Roman, but not sure).
The font is well installed, and works fine on other Office applications. Couldn't reproduce this behaviour with other fonts (but obviously haven't tried them all).
I have a form with records in chronological order, as this has hundreds of records I would like to open the form and go to the bottom of the form to display the most recent records by date in the window, I know I could invert the order of the records displayed but I rather have them sorted by chronological order 1->999.

I will have a number of questions the first is related to the Home Page/Dashboard/Summary form I am creating. I basically have a few sections, one of which is a combo box offering the user to select an auction to view in the summary section. This summary section contains the list of lots but I also hope to to expand on this and create multiple text boxes, each containing the answer to a number of queries (totals etc).
I have written all the queries and can see the results however as the form does not have a record source I would like to know how to make each text box populate with the result of different queries (ideally in vb - I am using ms access 2010)?
I have tried a few things, control source doesn't apply as I have no record source (i guess). I investigated Dlookup/Dcount but am unsure if these apply for the same reason. I understand I am likely to need a recordset etc in vb and have already tried a few things but unfortunately none of them work.
A textbox on a form is displaying the numeric ID value that is linked to the ID in another table (which has another field which holds the text value that I want). How do I show the actual text value that the ID relates to?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of converting a very large, multi-page Excel spreadsheet into a Access Database.
This database is going to be used to quickly look up and update members of our building's emergency response team, their location, training, etc.
In my main db list I have things like last name, first name, the building the work in, the floor they work on, and what training certs they currently posses.
One of the pages on the spreadsheet has a floor by floor count of personnel. Example - tower #1 - floor 1 = 2 people, Tower 1 - floor 2 = 6 people, Tower 3 - Floor 3 = 4 people.
In the database table, I have a column named "Building" and a column named "Floor". Is there a way to run a query that would show all of the various counts on one page. Meaning, if I have 10 floors, a 60 people, can I have access tell me what floors have what number of people on them, if so, how do I do it?

I have a navigation form opens up which provides buttons to open different forms & reports .
But I cannot open some of the forms in runtime although title heading apears but other content just goes blank , it has subforms in it . . some forms opens and some reports as well but some form just doesn't.
And on the notification bar it asks for a save as ??? why is that ...

I want to save an open form as a data access page. Is there any code to do this and bring me directly to the file location dialog or do I have to use the DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveAs command and then choose data access page from the dialog box?
Also, is there a way of saving a form as a data access page, without opening the form?

I have tried moving the content of the form up but that doesn't eliminate the second page. If I look at print preview, every second page of the entire database shows up as blank, regardless of where that happens to appear in the record.

1 - Does it load limited amount of records on start-up and then load the remainder upon user interaction (scrolling for example)?
2 - Does it care about such things automatically or natively?
to automatically create a second, third, fourth... page depending on how many characters are in the narrative. The only other thing needed to be changed is the page# of Page#.

I have added the Allen Browne Calendar 2k control to my form.
My form consists of 4 pages. On pages 2 and 3 I have subforms and on page 4 I have Personal data. Page 1 is general data and the Calendar is on Page 1.
What is happening is that the Calendar is also being displayed on my 4th page, in the same position as page 1. When I try to move it, cover it or delete it from page 4, it is also gone from page 1.
Any suggestions please?

I have a report which shows the results of two separate queries in a simple table view.
One set of data varies in size depending on the amount of records and the other is a fixed size and never changes.
I'm wanting to make my report always show the fixed size data in the bottom right corner of the page when its printed.
I've tried putting it in the footer section of the report but don't want it to affect the size of the details section and just show next to the other query results.
Is this possible and if so how would I achieve this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am building a Inventory Management Application for Tyre Shop. I have SaleMainTbl and SaleDetailTbl both used for preparing daily sale summary. I have Mainform based on SaleMainTbl with TxnDate and Total Amount (Sale) and the TxnDate is in one to many relation with SaleDetailTbl. FormSaleDetail is multiple row(continuous) form that makes billwise summary of each day having -TxnDate--BillNo--ItemSold--Company--Qunatity--Rate--Amount fields. I have inserted this form in FormSaleMainTbl.
So FormSaleMainTbl is Main form and FormSaleDetail is subform. TxnDate in FormSaleDetailTbl is automatically taken from SaleMainForm. I have further added text boxes in Main Form to show company wise sale for each day for which there is a query build one for each company that takes the currently loaded date from FormSaleDetail and calculates the Sale (Sum) of each brand (Company) of Tyres. All these objects are working very fine. However I have to close the MainForm and reopen it for result of query to appear in the appropriate text box in Main form.
Is there way to do this as soon as record is entered or at least at the end of completing the entry of each days sale transactions without closing the form. So the gist of the problem is realtime display of query result in text box on a form or updating the form screen immediately on updating any record or at the most after completing the updating of form but without having to close the form.
I have a form with six tabbed pages on it. Since data entry follows in a logical order I would like to put a command button on the bottom of each page (subform) that can be used to go to the next page. What I am going to though? If i put a command button (open form) then it opens the whole form not as a subform on a tabbed page. if I try and put a command button (open page) then it will not let me enter the page number. Hope that makes sense! Any ideas

Also I want to allow the user to hide / show columns using right or left arrow buttons between the list boxes. My subform is bound to a stored procedure using ADO.
