General :: WHERE Statement - List Box To Be Populated Based On Three Different Criteria In Table
Sep 14, 2013
I have an AfterUpdate event where I want a list box to be populated based on three different criteria based on a table in my database
1. Complete = False AND
2. Supplier on form = supplier in table AND
3. Status in table = "SUPPLIER_RFQ FOLLOW-UP" OR "SUPPLIER_RE-RFQ TO OTHER SUPPLIER"
I am having trouble with the last OR statement criteria, i cannot get this to return values correctly. Here is my code:
I have an access database in which I have a table A and table B. Table A has a list of 200 website URLs. Table B has one column ID and another criteria.
I want to create a query to filter websites list which does not have values or characters from table b.
I have these values in table B that I want to be filtered out or not shown in my URL Select Query
.org .gov .du .pk .dk
I would keep on adding more criteria into this so criteria table so adding new criteria into table B should not disturb our filtering.
SELECT tableA.WEB_ADDRESS FROM tableA WHERE ((([tableA].[wEB_ADDRESS] Not Like '*'+(SELECT * FROM tableB)+'*')=True));
I have a main form (in a single form view) that show a record from a table. I am going to add a sub form (probably a continuous form view) which can show a list of fields (probably a name) from all records from a child table that match condition PrimaryKey = ForeignKey.
What is the best way to make the list of the fields sort of clickable so that I can click on any of them and e.g. open a form with information about a child record? Should I look for hyperlinks in reports, a list box, a continuous sub form with records?

Below is what I have tried but in vain and it says atmost you can atmost one criteria row in sub query
SELECT tableA.WEB_ADDRESS FROM tableA WHERE ((([tableA].[wEB_ADDRESS] Not Like '*'+(SELECT * FROM tableB)+'*')=True));
I have a master data table containing 4 columns and ~ 500K rows. I have a list of keyterms from column1, column2 and column3. How do I use Access to search the masta data table and return the corresponding column4 value for each row on the list.
I am looking to transfer a number of spreadsheets that I use to track IP Addresses to an Access Database, I have set up the tables and fields, what I would like to do is search for unused IP Addresses from populated table/fields.
I have a form with a check box. A query is run that looks at that check box and decides what the criteria are based on that. So, if the check box is checked, it should pull in all data in the field that is a Y. If it is not checked, i want it to pull all data (Y's and N's and blanks).
I have a table where the columns are team1, team2 and winner. Team1 and team2 are comboboxes that show all the teams in Team table. After I pick the team1 and team2 in a row I want to make a listbox that shows only those two teams as options for the winner.
I have quite a simple problem I think, but i don't know if I'm able to explain it properly.
I have three tables:
one for contacts one for the groups contacts are a member of and a junction table to solve the many to many relationship there.
What I want, is to create a form, with a combo box with a drop down list of groups. When a user selects a group, I'd like all the contacts (including *some* of their fields) to populate the list box below.
So a user can easily view the members of each group.
In a form, the value of any field may determine if the other field will be true or false. For example in my form, inventory, if value in code is equal to 2 then the Field Table will be automatically false.
I have a parameter query where user enter the department number to get their info. I want instead of entering the department number, a list box pops up and ask to select department as parameter and run the same query.
** Additional Note: Could I possibly just have a field in my main form that pulls data from another table? Warning: bad with code**
I'm not sure I'm looking at this correctly and have tried to figure it out (For about two weeks now). I really hope someone can help with this.
I have to add a "Multiplier" to my form. I have tried this numerous ways but it's not working properly.
What I need is to have a main form with a subform only displaying the relevant field (that being if this month/year and location match up between both the subform table and the main form that is displayed, then show this value in the subform on the main form). With this multiplier displayed, another field in the main form is then multiplied by this value.
Is this the right way to do this or no? I'm open to basically anything. It's just that the 'multiplier' changes from month to month and rather then have people manually enter in the multiplier to the main form for every day of the month, I'd rather a field be automatically populated and therefore the other field automatically multiplying by this.
I have a table with a few Listbox options. I want one of the columns' values to be determined by the value chosen in another field. How do I do this?
Example: In column A I choose value ABC from the dropdown. I want column B to now offer values in that list of DEF, GHI, JKL. If I chose XYZ in column A instead, I'd want the column B list to show MNO, PQR, STU. Etc.
I am wanting to delete a record based on 2 criteria. ive had a look on the net and it looked so simple. I tried
PHP Code:
CurrentDb.Execute _    "DELETE FROM tblRecommendedProducts " & _    "WHERE ClientDetailsID = " & [Forms]![frmClientSale]![ClientDetailsID] And "WHERE ItemsID = " & [Forms]![frmClientSale-Retail]![ItemsID], dbFailOnErrorÂ
I have a report that I am trying to complete based on several queries. I am trying to count the number of records based on certain criteria and using the following DCount.
=DCount("[Calculated time]","IPG1","[Calculated Time] <= 0.04" And [Ship-to party] In ("SN00207PJZ","SN09162XXX","SN09324XXX"))
I want to count the number of IPG1 records that are under .04 and have the Ship-to party of the ones listed. I have tried everything that I can think of to get it to work but can's seem to get it to. I figure it's something easy but I don't see it.
I have a SubForm "assignments" based on a Query, which has criteria to filter dates and also to filter 0 and 1 of the checkbox ...
The question is:
How do I put in that SubForm one or more Checkbox to "enable" and "disable", only the criteria of such query? So, toggle, for example, those jobs that are not completed (Checkbox of the query=0) and those that do ...
I have a table with Zip CODE field. I uploaded my information to this table form an excel file. There were over 120K rows of data so no way i could do this in excel.
So I found that some of the ZIP codes are either blank or have less than 5 digits.
Can I build a a query with the ZIP code field that will return all zip code records with less than 5 characters or blank. I'd like to repair these zip codes and a update query will be my next step.
I repeat excel is not an option because when I try to sort by the Zip Code column my computer explodes (okay not literally) ....
I would like to have a table update query populate cells in a field, based on an IIf statement (below), but states that the IIf statement arguments still need to be enclosed in parentheses. I don't understand what the problem is, I have two sets of opening / closing parentheses.
I am having a problem to get my query to run properly. I have a huge IIf statement that doesn't seem to be working but I am not sure what is wrong with it. What it is supposed to do is return a good, actionable, or poor based on a specified weight and an actual weight. So what the query does is pull information from a table based on the specified weight and then using that information it should give back the correct rating in the last column.
I have a small database with 4 tables that I am using for the current problem. The tables are call, parents, mailman, orders. Call and parents are related by the call ID (a primary key in the Call table.). Mailman and orders are related by a Unique Id (a primary key in the mailman table.).
Forms involved are frmmain and frmsub.
Frmmain contains the call table information in the main form and parents information in the subform.
When a user enters a call with call ID and enters the operator name and parents information in the sub form, When a user clicks the OK button on the main form, necessary changes should take place if they enter the case type in the sub form part of parent information as ‘missing information’ or ‘missing link’ then the parent information with fields first name, lastname, case type, operator information should be inserted into mailman table in appropriate fields.
Simultaneously a record should be inserted into orders( after the record is first inserted into mailman, since both tables are linked with unique id) with the following information. Orderid being autonumber. Uniqueid from the mailman table. Orderdate system date. Ordertype should be “Mailman”
I've setup a selection form that returns a specific list of email addresses in a query.
What I can't work out is how to press a button and have the email addresses populate the To: field in a blank Outlook email - I don't need any bells or whistles.
