General :: Carry Out Certain Action Every Time On Certain Date Of Every Month
Apr 28, 2013
What code should I use for the system to carry out a certain action every time it is a certain date of every month. eg if the date is 5th, the system should invoice all tenants with rent of the value of the house they live in. I am unable to work with the date changes.
Every time we get to a new month, I want the rent system to update the rent balance value.
I'm trying to derive the month in digits from a date/time stamp field. Any month between 10 and 12, I need the first 2 digits but anything <=9 is only 1 digit.
MONTH: IIf(Left([LOAD TO SKU LEVEL DETAIL]![PICK_PLAN_TS],2)="10" Or "11" Or "12", (Left([LOAD TO SKU LEVEL DETAIL]![PICK_PLAN_TS],2),(Left([LOAD TO SKU LEVEL DETAIL]![PICK_PLAN_TS],1))))
I have a form that supervisors use to input employee accountability for each day. Once supervisor completes the input, a command button is selected and records are appended to an archive table and then deleted from the "live" table. End of the month, reports pull from the archive table to tally absences.
The problem: when a supervisor submits the daily status report but resubmits the report do to an input error I now have two records for the one reported date.
How do I pull the end of month report without including an earlier record for a duplicate date? Is it possible to have access overwrite any records previously submitted for that day?
In VBA, how to compare date variable with date/time field from table, as when defined the data type in table, date/time option is the only choice for date data type even though I don't want the time portion.
I basically have General Date field (e.g. 10/1/2014 6:34:11 PM) and I want to limit the results to only a specific month and only to show reuslts after 6PM. I tried everything and still stuck.
The date variable in VBA can store date and time together. So to make my table smaller and easier to modifiy I have decided to store date and time values in the same feild, using textboxes to 'extract' the required part when needed.I have a form connected to a table with my date/time field which will be hidden, and there are then 2 seperate boxes for Date and Time input. On load, both textboxes are populated with their respective values from the hidden textbox which works fine. But when the user modifieds either box, and clicks a button, VBA should add both time and date into the hidden connected field together, the issue is no matter what i try I keep getting miss-match errors. Have tried different, and no, formats on all/each textboxes and adding formats to VBA ect.
how does a user enter an appointment time without having to type the date and time in full? e.g. if i'm adding appointments for today at 11am and 1pm do i have to type year and minutes/seconds?
I have a database that is for a manufacturing process and there is a field for date/time to be recorded when a product at each step in the process is started and completed. I would like to automate the date/time stamp (maybe when the field is double-clicked on a query or form). BTW, I have seen the auto update option when a record is updated, but a record will be updated multiple times at every step in the process.
Can you have a date/time stamp on a form to see when it was entered?
Since it is near impossible for me to be "real time" with the data and when reports are run from the database right now, I would like be be able to say to a manager I received the information on this day but did not input it until this day.
I have not found the solution to this looking elsewhere, but basically what I am trying to do is the following:
person date 1 1/1/2012 1 12/15/2012 2 6/12/2012 1 6/13/2012 2 6/14/2012 3 6/16/2012
I want a query which shows the count or records for which a person has a date within 30 days of each other. This is being queried from a large table in which records would may not be sequential by person. Thus in my example above, the third record for person 1 would be omitted as well as the record for person 3.
I have set a field on my FORM with the General Date format. Every time I use the date picker it inserts the correct date with a time of 00:00? I even changed the format on my table to general date - still no luck.
i would like to log every action any member does on my database.i will have a log in screen(passworded) and i would like to record every button clicked. the only thing is i would like to include other things in the record aswell. like record changes. is there a neat little trick to do this or is it just going to be very labour intensive.
Hello buddies :D, do you have any idea how to make this work?
To select data that falls within this criteria of date range between cboDate and cboDate2 (fields on my form). The date in [tblJobDetails]![timeIn] come in this format "08/17/06 10:24 AM", but the cboDate/cboDate2 (takes in date only e.g 08/17/06) what i am after is to evaluate specific hard coded time in addition to the date entered, i.e. even tho, i haven't entered time on the cboDate/cboDate2, I want specific time hard coded where e.g If i select a date range of 08/17/06 and 08/18/06 on my cboDate and cboDate2 it should really be evaluating: 08/17/06 8:00 AM to 08/18/06 8:00 AM.
This is the criteria i curentlly have on my query in design view tha works perfect in selecting date only. ([tblJobDetails]![timeIn]>=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate] Or [tblJobDetails]![timeIn]>=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate] Is Null) And ([tblJobDetails]![timeIn]<=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate2] Or [tblJobDetails]![timeIn]<=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate2] Is Null) How can I incorporate 8:00am to 8:00am into my cboDate and cboDate2. What can i do to make this happen? Your kindness will be greatly appreciated http://www.naijaryders.com/forums/images/smilies/thankyou.gif
I have a data entry form which have a date field. This field retains the existing date after the record is saved with vba after update event.
Private Sub Form_AfterUpdate() Me.ProductionDate.DefaultValue = Chr(35) & Me.ProductionDate.Value & Chr(35) End Sub
Almost after a year of perfect working i am facing a problem. When i save the record , in date field my date and month values are reversed if date is between 1-12.although my database stores perfectly valid date. for example if date is "10-09-2014" (dd-mm-yyyy) after saving form date field becomes "09-10-2014". but if date is "13-09-2014" The date form field retains this value .
I use the Date and Time Picker. i know that i can get many other calendars, however, my theory is that i would rather use something that is directly supported by microsoft. but as i found out now that may not be the case.
on of my users updated his Office 2003 after he was having problems using my database (created on 2002 sp3). i know that the same database works on 2003 sp1. however, now microsoft is serving 2003 sp2. so after the update he he can't use the database.
so my questions:
1. how do i generally prevent users from getting update errors. i would like to atleast alert them with a meaningful message that their version of Office needs to be updated.
2. is this true that the Date and Time Picker doesn't work anymore? and if so, why isn't backwards compatible? and how do i prevent this from happening with other controls or scripts?
I have a series of fairly large csv files which I need to consolidate by importing them to a single Access database. There are of the order of 50-60,000 'lines' per csv and about a dozen different files (all comma de-limited and text-qualified with inverted commas). The problem I have is, there are several date fields within the csv which are not formatted to Access' liking. Namely <Mmm_dd_yyyy_hh:ssAM> with underscores used here to represent spaces.
So for example, today's date appears thus :
Feb 6 2013 12:00AM (i.e. two spaces between 'Feb' and '6')
And this day next week would appear thus :
Feb 13 2013 12:00AM (i.e. one space between 'Feb' and '13')
I will obviously need this field recognised as Date/Time so I can query appropriately but I have no control over the source data and need to find a way of converting the format. One option would be to run a script on the csv's themselves prior to importing but I'm not sure how to do that.import this field as Text and then edit the contents after import (VBA?), such that the field can be redesignated with a data type of Date/Time.
I have an Access Form called Database_Form, with a text box called Text22, and a button called Command42.
I also have a table, and query, as following:
Table 1, as in the below example:
Row_Number as Column header, and values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, as rows.
Column1 as Column header, and values 0026007101, 0026007102, 0026007103, 0026007104, 0026007105, as rows.
Query 2, which has the criteria [Forms]![Database_Form]![Text22] for Row_Number Field.
Basically, i want that each time when i press the button Command42 and having the text box filled with value 1 (for row number 1), to repeat this step, but taking the next row_number and so on, until it finishes the last row.
The Query 2, should sequentially select the row number given in the text box, based on a VBA Code or something.
I have some project run on MS-Access as front-end with database linked to MS-SQL Server. I have some column of table contain Date-Time data that store data as General Date format (ie 01/01/2005 08:00:00). I create some form for my staff to key in a data of lab test that they will be key in only time with out date value. On form, I show this value as time only too. But I want to use this data with Date value for some calculate as backgroud process.
So...
In case of new data, Database will be store my data as CurrentDate with Time that my staff key in.
In case of data update, Database will be store my data as ExistDate with Time that my staff may update.
