HELP! Special Help Creating A Date Query...

Here's my problem. We maintain a list of items that are sold on ebay. We keep track of all items purchased by individuals and the dates that those items were purchased. We guarantee shipping by 6 weeks after the sell date...
Therefore, I am trying to create a query that will show me all items that are 6 weeks and older and have not shipped. There is a column that says date purchased and one for date shipped if an item is already completed. Any suggestions!!??!?! :confused:

Okay I have a table with info about a computer and the usernames who can use this computer. Over the course of the day or week I have to add more users to this computer. I don't want to keep making a new record with the same computer information and only changing the usernames. I want to do it so I can go back to this form with the computer info. and username and click a button or something which allows me to add another user to the record. Essentially just adding another column. How would I do this? I'm pretty basic in Access so go easy on me.

I am trying to create a Special Recorded tracking database where a member of staff will log the tracker number into the database and then at a later date someone can come and update the data, what I want to do is scan the tracker barcode with a scan gun and its details appear for updating, I can do this part but when I make any amendments to the data it doesn't save the new data and I don't know why? I am using a combobox to display the tracker number and me.text1.value = me.combo4.column(1) and so on and so forth to display the data, when I change this data it doesn't save.

I am building a database for a client who manufactures car parts. I have a table to store vehicle model. Each model has a date range of production. I have two build dates from and to. Both of these fields are setup as date fields on the table. I made both fields required with a mask for validation. In the "build date to" field if a car is still in production I need to leave the field blank. Is there any special character that will allow me to store a required field blank.

I am trying to create an expression in a query to sum only the # of hours a student attended between two date fields. I do not want to use a parameter because each student has different start and midpoint dates and I need to see all of them in one list.These are the fields I'm using in the query:
Student Name
Start Date
Midpoint Date
Hours
It keeps giving me "0" or if I move the () around it says the correct syntax is [NOT]
Expr1: Sum([Hours]) between [Start Date] & [Midpoint]))

I have about 10 columns with data in each column...the columns dont need to show every time. I want to set it up where the user pics the column heading from a drop-down menu and then that column alone will show, none of the other columns are visible...can this be done?

I am generating a multi source concatenated code with an update query in Microsoft Access. I am wondering if there is a way to cut the update to only new entries rather than updating all records each time the query is run.

I wanted to assign the field "Number of magazine" with special format based on date/time format but showing only year and month in the format: "yyyy-mm".
So in property of this field in format I put yyyy-mm and in input mask I type 0000-00;;-
I also created the form based on the table containing above field and I defined format and input mask for corresponding formant in the same way like at the table.
But if I try to type date for example 2014-01 in text box of the form it comes up with the full date 2014-01-01. Why does it do like this? What do I do incorrectly?

I am trying to run a query and display the results in a report (the report side of it is childs play and not a problem). The problem I am having is that I have a search form which should allow the user to search any one of 6 fields (text boxes) or a combination of each.
If the user enters something into a field then that search criteria must match. I wanted to have it so if all fields are left blank then it will show all entries in the database (but it isn't, it shows a blank report). I also wanted it to allow partial completion of boxes.
So for instance if I have 5 customers (Jones, Jonson, Jonus, jimjonkins, Janis) and I type "Jon" into the name field then I would like it to show the first 4 records as they all contain "jon" somewhere in their name but its not, its only allowing exact matches.
I currently have '[forms]![Search_Customer]![Search_Name]'.

I want to create a field for displaying a 90 day period date before the time of renewal.
This date will be displayed to remind me to send out a notice to a client and will be based on the actual renewal date field.
Can anyone please provide some insight into creating such a field.
Also, I will be creating a similar data field that will be based on 30 Days after the 90 day notice that I send out.

I one of my tables, I have a date field (DateCompleted) with the format: mm/dd/yyyy
Now, I want to create a query which would create another field (DateExpected) by using the date in the above table and adding 5 months to the date.
The only issue is that for the new field in the query I want it just to have mm/yyyy format.
For example, if the original date in the table is 04/05/2006, after running the query, I would have a new field 09/2006.
Does anyone know the exact expression I would put in the query? Thanks. The expression would be put in the "build" area.

Hi all~
A database front end which was built by somebody else got handed to me to do some updates (as the person who created it is no longer with the company).
The database currently has roughly ~30 reports, about 15 of which are pulled daily, and the rest weekly/monthly. Part of the report criteria selected by the user are beginning and end dates. Currently the dates are input via text boxes on a form, then referenced by the SQL statement which generates the report data.
The users want the text boxes to be changed to either a drop down list or a calendar which they can just click on a date instead of typing it in. I know .NET provides controls for a built in calendar which you can use for date selection, but this database is simply an Access front end, so I cannot use .NET.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this via VBA?

I am trying to use VBA to create a filter by date range. the user inputs 2 dates and the database filters all records by dates in between the 2 dates,

if i enter dates 01/09/2013 and 12/09/2013 the filter works for the days in the month but also displays previous years, but if i change the dates to 01/09/2013 and 13/09/2013 it starts displaying all dates for all years in the months September, October, November and December.

How can I set the criteria for these two fields, so that when someone picks a date it knows it's from or before the date entered.

I need your help.
in a budget application I'ma making, I have a table with all the budgets names, a table with the 12 months of the year, and a table with the budget, the months and the amount allocated for every budget topic for every month.
In order to facilitate the yearly view, i would like to build a special form that shows all the budgets for every month. Each column would be a diffetent month, the fist one being filled by the budget topics (a bit like an axecl sheet).
How can I build this form?
It is very helpfull for the application because it helps the user to fill the budgets month by month, but with keeping a yearly view (instead of having a long list of 3 columns, 1 for the budgets names, one fir the monthes, and one for the amounts).

I have a question regarding special characters that access doesn't like to see.
When passing a string to be absolved via html, if I set myHtmlBody = "<font color="#000FF"></font> it will throw a syntax error because of the # character.
How can I solve this? Thx for any help.

Anyone know how to create a combo box that has unique month and year entries from a table (month in one column and year in another - i.e. 2 columns)?
I've been able to get the textbox of the combobox to output the correct format using a custom format but it does not affect the combobox data. Also, I'm not sure how to separate this by two columns...
Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm new to programming with Access but am attempting to create a new field in a table with an new date based on existing fields in the table.
The current fields are [Frequency], integer, [Risk], text, [Last Audit Date], date/time, and the new field is [Next Audit Date]. [Frequency] is a calculated field based only on [Risk] and is equal to "5" if [Risk] is "Low" and is "3" is [Risk] is "Medium" or "High", and [Frequency] is blank if [Risk] is (thus far it has never been empty).
What I need the new calculated field to do is return "N/A" (or blank, or anything easily separated really) if [Frequency] is blank, or if [Risk] is "Low" or "Medium". If [Risk] is "High", [Next Audit Date] should be equal to [Last Audit Date] plus 3 years. When I try to save the code, I get this message: "The expression could not be saved because its result type, such as binary or NULL, is not supported by the server."
This is my code now:

Can anyone give me a direction for the following problem please :
I would like to create a yearcalendar that might do the following job for me:
I have 12 firms with different amounts of people working for them. We need to see those people once a year and give every firm an amount of days that they can come see us. Every firm may send 5 people each day but we can see up to two firms per day. So we receive 10 people on a daily base but only a max of 5 belonging to one firm.
I would like to have a means of automaticaly according dates to those firms over a period of one year but I must be able to exclude or instance, week-ends, holidays and so on...
I hope you can give me a start because I realy don't know where to begin

I am exporting an Access table as an xml file and need to be able to identify and replace '&', '(' and ')' as they are not accepted in xml.
Does anyone know how a query can be built which will find these characters in fields and update to ' and' or just remove?
